Chapter 4 - Frist day

M.C P.O.V

My body woke up feeling heavy. For a second, I thought that everything was a dream and I was back in my old world, only for the dream to be shattered when I saw the cave and the reason for my body feeling so heavy—a large metal dinosaur decided in the middle of the night that my body would make a great pillow. His head and neck were laying on top of my chest, with one of his arms wrapping around my body. Slowly getting out of the sleeping bag to not wake up the little guy, I made my way to the other end of the cave. I began to do a more detailed check of my new body. Last night, I just did a once-over; this time, I wanted to check flexibility and strength.

I began with the most basic exercise from my last life. I knelt on my left leg, placing the right leg forward at a right angle. I lunged forward, keeping my back straight. I kept stretching my right leg until I could feel it in my groin. Holding and repeating the stretch five times for about five seconds each, then doing the same with the other leg. After that, I moved onto side lunges, then cross-overs. After making sure that my new body could handle that, I moved on to more difficult ones, starting with the standing quad stretch. The body was still able to handle it with ease. So I moved on to seated stretch, still being able to do so without any pain or difficulty. Deciding that I should be able to, I moved into a full split, doing so as easily as the others.

Getting up from my seated position, I moved on to strength training, starting with squats. I lost count before the body even felt any pain. Moving on to push-ups, I had much the same experience as with the squats, then moving on to planking. It went the same as the other two. Not being able to do any more tests for the time being, I began to write everything down in one of the notebooks. I then began to pack up the sleeping bag, seeing that the dinosaur had rolled over at some point while I was doing my workout. After I was done, I heard a noise from behind me and turned around to see that he had woken up.

"Good morning," I said to him. He seemed taken aback by that and jumped back. "Stay back, metal strong," he said in growls. I was taken aback by that and just raised my hand and started to talk in a low voice, "I'm not going to hurt you." He started to charge a yellow ball of electricity, causing me to put my hand on the hunting knife I kept on my hip. "You can't fool metal. Metal mom told metal that human come here to take metal away," he said. "Metal, that's your name, right?" I asked in a soft voice. He nodded, and then I continued, "Remember last night, I saved you from that fairy." Not sure how I knew that it was a fairy, but something just told me that's what it was. That seemed to calm metal down because he stopped charging the ball but did not dispel it. "You could be trying to trick metal, to put metal in one of those balls humans use," he said. "Metal, think back to last night. You passed out. If I wanted to, I could have put you in a ball then," I said, trying to de-escalate the situation. He seemed to be thinking back to last night, realizing that it was true, metal dispelled the yellow orb. "Metal is sorry. Metal will follow you," he said with his head bowed. "Don't worry about it," I said. "No," he said with a large shake of his head. "Metal father said that one must pay back one's debts. Not only did you save metal's life, metal almost attacked you, so metal must follow you until metal's debt is repaid," he said.

"Really, don't worry about it," I said. I need to find the closest city and find out about the situation in this world. "No, metal father says that dragons don't repay their debts are bad dragons. Metal will not be a bad dragon," he said with another shake of his head. He's a dragon, I thought. He's a steel electric type. "Ok, metal, how about this: I need to find other humans. If you tell me where they are, your debt would be repaid," I said. Metal shook his head again. "No, that's not enough, and metal doesn't know where humans are, so metal can't help you." Alright, that's a bust, but wait. "Metal, would your dad know where other humans are?" I asked. Metal nodded his head. "Yes, metal father knows a lot, and he's the chief hunter of the fighting dragon clan," he said. "Ok, then could you take me to your father?" I asked. He nodded. "Then, metal, if you take me to your father and get the information I need, your debt would be repaid," I said. He thought about it for a second, then nodded. "Metal shall lead you to father, and if father says that metal's debt is repaid, then metal shall as well," he said. That worked. No way a parent would let their child go off with a stranger, and I would be able to get the info I need about humans in this world.

Metal then helped me pack up the sleeping bag, and then he led me to a lake deeper in the cave to collect some water. Not having an empty bottle, I collected it in the square container. After that, we made our way down the mountain. "Metal, you said that your father was the chief hunter of the fighting dragon clan?" I asked. He nodded. "Yes, metal father is the strongest warrior of the clan outside of the chief," he said with pride on his face. Not sure how a metal face can be so malleable, but I chalked it up to new world rules. "So what are the fighting dragon clan?" I asked. He answered, "The fighting dragon clan is one of the six great dragon clans." I nodded, then asked, "Six great dragon clans?" He nodded and said, "Yes, there are six most powerful dragon clans, plus the fairy clan. They rule over the island." Before I could ask for details, he went on. "The six clans are the sky dragon clan, the ground dragon clan, the fighting dragon clan, the water dragon clan, the poison dragon clan, and the dark dragon clan." "The fighting dragon clan hates the dark dragon clan because they don't have any honor, and they don't like the sky dragon clan because the mate of the clan chief is a dark dragon," he went on. "I don't really know about the other dragon clans, but mother said that the ground dragon clan doesn't like the fighting dragons because the ground dragons aren't able to dance," he said. That's weird. Why would you hate someone because you can't dance?

"Then what about your clan, metal?" I asked. He doesn't look like a fighting dragon, but I could be wrong. "I have no clan. Mother came to this island to find a strong mate. After she found father, they made me," he said. I nodded. I was about to ask, but then he went on. "But my dream is to make my own clan with mother one day, then become the chief of the metal dragon clan and raise it to become the seventh great dragon clan." "I see. That sounds like a great dream," I said, and he nodded with eyes full of conviction. For a second, I thought that I saw a head of blonde hair on top of his head. I laughed at the thought. "I see. Then where is your mom now?" I asked. He looked sad at that. "Mother went to fight the fairies with the sky chief," he said. Oh, shit, I thought. No wonder he's alone when I found him. I patted his head. "Don't worry. I'm sure she's alright," I said with all the conviction I could. He nodded at me as we made our way down the mountain and towards the forest.
