"Metal, left!" my brother yelled to me as he blocked an attack from one of the green bugs. Knowing what my brother meant, I quickly moved to the left, dodging an attack from the right. I fired a breath of dragon fire towards the green bug that had attacked me. My brother was good at anticipating attacks, knowing when and where they would come from without even looking. I had asked him about it when we first got attacked by the bugs, and my brother said he didn't know how he did it. He just knew when something was trying to hurt us. My brother was weird like that. He was human but was able to fight Pokémon, something no other human in Metal had seen able to do.
My brother also had a sense of danger, knowing where it was safe to camp and where to avoid powerful Pokémon. Metal knew about areas where powerful Pokémon lived thanks to our mother, but my brother did not. However, when we were walking, my brother would stop me from going into certain places. I didn't understand it at first, and neither did my brother, but we still went around. Later, I asked the bugs about those areas, and they said that there were powerful Pokémon there that had moved from the mountain when the fairies attacked the sky chief. My brother was able to sense them, and that's how he understood me but not other Pokémon. My brother also felt different from other humans. Humans felt like air, their aura had no color or weight to it. But my brother's aura felt like a dragon's, still light but a rich royal purple like the sky chief's. I had never seen a human with that kind of aura. He felt like a dragon in the shape of a human.
But then my brother did not act like a dragon. Dragons are prideful and would never treat weak bugs with the respect that my brother did. He went out of his way to help small bugs when they fell out of trees by placing them back up. He also did not have a name. My brother said his old name did not suit him anymore, but he still wouldn't choose a new name. Dragons don't do that. If a dragon thought their name did not suit them, they would just choose a new one. Dragons hold no attachment to such things, but my brother did. He acted more like a fairy than a dragon. "Metal, above!" my brother's voice broke me out of my thoughts as I fired another light bolt at the bug that tried to attack me from above. When the bug landed, it had burn marks from dragon fire and lightning but was still standing. I added more dragon power to my claw and used it to lunge the bug toward my brother. My brother acted as I had thought he would, getting down so the bug hit him instead of me. This caused both bugs to crash on the ground. My brother used the time they were dazed to stab his knife into the arms of my bug and jumped away.
The bugs then got up quickly and ran towards my brother. He ducked under their long scythe-like arms. Seeing that my brother would be hurt if he fought both of them, I charged at the one that my brother had cut. Taking the large bug into a hug, I ran towards a tree. After pinning the bug against the tree, I charged dragon fire into my mouth and fired more flames against the bug. The flames escaped my mouth in a large blue sea. The fire began to spread around to other trees, and I stood there in awe of my own power, forgetting to make sure the foe had died.

I managed to get back up after Metal had taken the other Scyther away, using the motion to also get a cut along the legs of the other one. The bug, not liking the cut, swung one of its scythe-like arms towards me, making it glow white. Following my body instincts, I spun on my heel while ducking to deliver a kick to its legs. The kick caused it to go down to its knees. Taking the opening, I stabbed the knife into its eyes, only to be blocked by its scythe arms. Jumping back as the arm came slamming down, creating a large gash across the ground where I was standing. It got back up to its feet and tried to charge at me, but it was moving slower due to its bad leg. Seeing it as the opening I needed, I once again ducked as the scythe came down on me. Having learned from the last time, it kicked at me with its good leg, dodging my jump towards its bad leg. Stabbing my knife into its leg, I got it as deep as I could, then pulled out. I jumped away from it, and it went to the ground. I stood a good distance away from it, watching as it bled out. Knowing that it was as good as dead, I turned my attention to Metal's fight. I watched as Metal beat the other bug type in a sea of blue fire, taking down a few trees along with it.
"That idiot," I thought, running towards Metal. "Metal, stop!" I yelled while running. "Bro," he said, not understanding the situation. "Don't 'bro' me, you idiot, and start running!" I yelled again while running towards the bags I had dropped earlier in the fight. Grabbing the bags, I pushed Metal, and we bolted from the location without even checking if his opponent was dead. "Why are we running?" Metal asked as we ran at top speed. "Because you just let all of the other bugs know where we are," I said while running. "But I didn't," he said, not understanding. "Metal, that attack was huge. Every Pokémon close by will be able to see it," I said. "Oh," he said, finally understanding what happened as he sped up. We ran without looking, hoping to outrun the mob of Pokémon that came after us because of Metal.
