Synopsis
In a galaxy far, far away, a young Mandalorian is born to the union of a great Mandalorian Clan Leader and a Jedi Sentinel. His birth will lead to numerous changes in this galaxy, which is on the brink of war. Along with others, he will visit. I'm a new author trying to get better by writing. I use AI to help bounce my ideas off of, but type them out myself. I'm trying to create a story I would enjoy, and hopefully you as well. Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

In a galaxy far, far away

On the planet of Mandalore, in the home of the patriarch of House Knight. The current patriarch of Clan Knight, Varn Knight, can be seen pacing back and forth in front of a medical room, his steps echoing the urgency of the situation.

"Come down, boy, everything will be alright." A rough and aged voice sounded from some seats.

Varn, a tall and imposing figure with a stern expression, looked to see an older man in his 50s, with a head full of gray, silver hair and beard, sitting calmly. His weathered face showed no signs of worry.

This was Torin Knight, the previous patriarch of Clan Knight and the father of Varn. His eyes, once sharp and piercing, now held a wisdom that only years of experience could bring.

"Father, I should be in there with Elyse."

"You would just be in the way of the medical droids." Torin said with an amused tone in his voice.

Varn gave a side glance at his father. "Not funny."

"Haha, lighten up, son. It's only your first child, you don't need to be so tense."

The medical room door hissed open, cutting through the tension in the air. A sleek medical droid emerged, its metallic frame glinting under the dim lights of the stronghold. Varn froze mid-step, his stern face softening with a flicker of hope as the droid's monotone voice broke the silence.

"The procedure is complete. Mother and child are stable. You may enter."

Varn exhaled sharply, his broad shoulders relaxing as he nodded to Torin, who rose with a creak of old joints and a rare, warm smile. Together, they stepped inside. Elyse, Varn's wife, lay on a medtable, her face pale but serene, cradling a small bundle wrapped in indigo cloth—the colors of House Knight. In her arms was Ryden Knight, the newborn heir, his tiny hand gripping the air as if already reaching for a blade.

Torin placed a weathered hand on Varn's shoulder. "A new generation to carry our shield. Train him well." Varn nodded, his gaze fixed on Ryden, a silent vow forming in his mind to forge the boy into a leader worthy of their legacy and maybe just maybe lead Mandalore.

4 years later

In the northern hemisphere of Mandalore, the main house of clan Knight sits atop the Kweving Heights.

This fortress blends ancient Mandalorian architecture with modern fortifications. Constructed around the remnants of an old warrior citadel—its weathered stone walls etched with faded clan sigils—the structure has been revitalized with sleek, smooth beskar plating. The outer aesthetics marry elegance and resilience: curved, indigo-tinted surfaces reflect the planet's harsh light, accented by rugged, natural rock integrations that preserve its historical roots. The design avoids harshness, presenting a balanced and almost majestic appearance.

This fortress has everything the clan needs to be self-sufficient. Some farms are situated at lower elevations and along any available flat ground. Training facilities both in and out of the mountains to simulate different environments, forges to use the beskar that is mined deep within the mountain to create the armor of the clan's warriors.

The stronghold features advanced anti-aircraft turrets strategically located along the plateau's edges, equipped with beskar-reinforced barrels to counter aerial threats. A retractable energy shield, powered by an underground generator, is available for use during sieges.

The living quarters and war rooms are housed within modular, reinforced wings that offer panoramic views of the canyons. A central command hub, designed to be both sleek and sturdy, coordinates defense and training. Its interface seamlessly combines traditional Mando'a runes with holographic displays.

A throne room where that clan leader sits to meet others, adorned with a blue banner bearing the house knight's sigil. A silver shield with a blue mythosaur skull biting into a double-sided vibroblade with golden glowing eyes and a gold tip to the blade.

Clane Knight spared no expense for their home. Ready for anything that comes their way while maintaining an aesthetically pleasing home.

A young 4-year-old, Rayden, was walking down a hall with his mother on his way to meet his father and grandfather at the training ground. Today is the day he will start his training.

Varn and Torin were already waiting at the training group, dressed in form-fitting robes with bo staffs in hand. Off to the side was a rack filled with both blasters and melee weapons.

"Father, grandpa, good morning," Rayden called out once he was standing in front of them.

Good morning, Ryden," Varn replied, his voice steady as he lowered his bo staff, his stern gaze softening.

Torin nodded, a faint smile creasing his weathered face. "Ready to begin, lad?"

"Yes grandpa."

"Good"

Varn stepped forward, looking at his son as his wife, Elyse, walked beside him.

"As you are now of age to begin training, we will start with a test to create a baseline. We have the obstacle course that you must complete within 5 minutes or less."

Rayden's eye opened wide, and he slowly looked at a structure off to the side with some trepidation—a massive obstacle course filled with big jumps, long rope climbs, and dodging flying projectiles. For an adult, it might not be that challenging, but for a 4-year-old child, it was daunting.

"You can do it dear," Elyse gave her son some encouragement.

Taking a deep breath, Rayden took off running to the obstacle course. The course starts with a rope climb to a 3-meter floating platform. There were five floating platforms, each moving in random ways before aligning for a few seconds once a minute. This slowed Rayden down as he had to time his jumps between gaps that changed by 1 to 2 meters between each platform.

Rayden: You've got this, just take your time. Let's not rush on our first time doing this course.

Taking a step back, Rayden prepared himself and then sprinted at full speed. He jumped from the edge of his current platform to the next one, which was about a meter away. As his foot landed, he slipped slightly, leading him to do a barrel roll to make sure he did not lose momentum.

Rayden saw that the next platform was moving away, but he had no time to slow down; he had to jump or he would fall. With determination, Rayden pushed his young body to go faster, but just as he was about to jump, he noticed the next platform was already 2 meters away. The gap is too big compared to him, but with few options, Rayden jumped with all his might. What he did not notice as he was focusing solely on platform three was that when he jumped, something seemed to give him an extra boost.

Varn and Torin: Huh?

Both men noticed something was amiss with the way Rayden had just jumped.

Elyse had an excited look in her eyes as she felt more clearly than both her husband and father-in-law.

Varn: Elyse was that..

Elyse: Yes, it was

Varn: Well, this is a surprise. We will have to change his training schedule.

Torin broke into a laugh, happy with the surprise his grandson gave them.

Back with Rayden, he was surprised to find that he had landed on platform three, even with the two-meter gap. However, he had little time to reflect on how he had made it and focused on the following two platforms—timing his next jump for when the gaps were at their least.

Finally, at the last platform, Rayden grabbed a rope that he had to use to swing to another rope while dodging flying objects. Once he grabs the next rope without being hit while swinging, he has to climb a few feet to make it to the next section.

Rayden looked at the flying objects, small flying droids meant to get in the way of anyone swinging unless timed perfectly. Taking a deep breath and slowly calming his beating heart, Rayden looked at the flight pattern of the drones. Counting the seconds for each droid to move from one area to the other. He stood there counting for the next minute to determine his best course of action.

He was glad to notice the droid was not electrified, as he had seen when he had seen adults take on this course. He didn't need the extra challenge at the moment, plus I don't think Mom would go easy on Dad if I got electrocuted while being so young.

Grabbing the rope, Rayden gave himself a running start to make it through this section faster. He held the rope tight while jumping, the force making his hands slide down the rope a little bit before he squeezed harder. As he swung through the droids, he noticed one flying in his direction.

He couldn't avoid it, so he did the next best thing. He lifted his right foot, and just as the droid came close, he stepped off it, giving himself an extra boost, allowing him to grab the next rope.

As he hung from the stationary rope, a smile crept onto his face before he refocused. Rayden started to climb to the next platform when, out of nowhere, he was hit in the back by a projectile.

Rayden: Crap, that hurt

Looking around, he noticed the droids had rearranged themselves vertically and started shooting foam-tipped darts along his path up the rope.

Rayden: Of course, it couldn't have been that easy. This must be Dad's decision to add this extra challenge.

Down below, Elyse looked at Varn.

Elyse: Was that necessary, dear?

Varn: Yes, he needs to be ready for unexpected situations.

Torin: He's been doing well so far. And look, even though he was hit, he is not panicking. Good boy.

Varn: Yes, his strong mentality will help him greatly during his training.

Elyse: I agree, but let's not push him too hard. Remember, he is only 4 years old. We have the next 10 years before his Vergath to train him and prepare him.

Both Varn and Torin gave a silent nod, agreeing with Elyse's assessment.

Back with Rayden, as he was climbing, he swung back and forth, dodging the flying darts. A few came close to hitting him, but just before, he would dodge. Once he got to the end of his climb, he pulled himself up to sit and catch his breath.

"Man, that climb sucked," Rayden coughed. His mouth felt dry, and he wished he had some water to drink. He was almost finished; the last part is a small rotating balance beam leading to a jump onto a mat.

"Almost there, you can do it, Rayden." Encouraging himself, Rayden got to his feet and started slowly walking on the balance beam. When he made it to the end, he jumped to the ground, landing on a mat. From the mat, he ran to a button to stop the timer. Looking at the clock, Rayden was filled with hope that he could meet the five-minute requirement, but when he saw the time say 7:37, he knew he had failed.

Elyse walked to her sound with a big smile and eyes full of love. "It's okay, dear, you did excellent for your first time."

"I know mom but it still sucks that i failed to complete it unter fiver minute."

Varn and Torin walk up with a small smile of pride on their faces.

Varn: You did fail, son, but that was to be expected. That just shows you have room for improvement.

Torin: Take this as a lesson and apply it to your training, and in time, you will master the course.

"I will," Rayden said with a face filled with determination. In that moment, everyone present heard a low rumble. All looking in the same direction, they found the culprit.

"I guess that course worked up an appetite in me," Rayden gave a light chuckle with his grandfather, soon following.

Torin: That's enough testing for now. Let's eat. Elyse, would you be a dear and make that delicious meat stew for us?

Elyse was stroking her son's head. "Sure, Rayden deserves a reward for his first day of training. Varn, can you help me?

Varn: Of course, my love. Rayden, get cleaned up.

Rayden: Ok day.

As Elyse and Varn walked off to prepare their meal, they chatted about Rayden's performance and what his future training will hold.
