Chapter 1 - Prologue: Midnight Sky

In the midnight. The apartment building, usually alive with the bustle of its residents, now stood quiet and dark. Only a few flickering lights remained lit, casting an eerie and deserted stillness.

Lein Arcel stood on the balcony of his apartment, on the second floor. He gazed out the window, gazing out at the dark and quiet city. The night breeze whispered softly, carrying the faint sounds of traffic from the distand highway below.

Lein felt restless. He couldn't quite explain the feeling. Perharps it was the unusual weather, or perharps it was something deeper.

His gaze shifted to the apartment across from his. The apartment that was usually unoccupied now had its lights on. Lein felt curious. Who was staying there? And what were they doing at this hour?

Suddenly, he saw it—figure moving inside. The silhouette walk slowly toawrd the window, and for a moment, Lein could see her face. A beautiful facebut her also had a sad and fearful expression.

Lein felt startled. He couldn't look away. And then—she looked at him. Their eyes met, and in that single moment, something passed between them—something he couldn't explain.

Then she disappeared from the window, and Lein blinked, as if waking from a dream. He didn't know what had just happened, but it was unlike anything he'd ever felt before.

Lein returned to his apartment, trying to distract himself from the girl he had just seen. But he couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. Something wrong. And he knew—he needed to find out what it was.

With growing unease, Lein decided to do something out of the ordinary. He took his apartment key and went to the apartment across from his. He didn't know what he would find there,but he knew he had to try.

And when he opened the apartment door...
