Chapter 1 - THE LIGHT AFTER DARK: CHAPTER 1 — THE BOY WHO DARED

In the year 2025, when skyscrapers kissed the clouds and streets pulsed with restless neon, an invisible storm brewed beneath the calm. Crime gnawed at the city's core, and no hero rose — until a boy named RiZu did.

RiZu, a 17-year-old with nothing but his will and a fierce yearning for justice, spent his nights meditating under flickering streetlights and in abandoned rooftops. His body hardened, senses sharpened. He studied ancient books on cultivation, believing in the power of the inner self. It granted him faster healing, heightened strength, and clarity of mind — traits long forgotten in the modern age.

By day, he was just a student; by night, he forged his own destiny. A suit of his design — a fusion of medieval armor, tactical gear, and bat-themed insignia. A hooded helm reminiscent of Moon Knight's eerie mask cloaked his identity. He called himself The Light After Dark.

His backstory was steeped in loneliness and loss. RiZu's father, a soldier, vanished in a covert operation when RiZu was just seven. His mother worked tirelessly in a diner, barely making ends meet. RiZu learned early that no one would save them — if anyone was to protect his city, it would have to be him. Discovering ancient cultivation manuscripts in an old bookstore was a turning point. Through months of relentless meditation and self-discipline, he unlocked dormant abilities: accelerated healing, enhanced agility, and a sixth sense for danger.

One fateful evening, RiZu leapt between buildings, clearing impossible seven-meter gaps. CCTV caught the streak of dark amidst the fog. Within hours, the footage went viral. The world debated: vigilante, metahuman, or godsend?

The U.S. government dispatched Lina Cap, a super-soldier operative clad in an experimental exo-suit. But her story was as tragic as RiZu's.

LINA'S BACKGROUND

Lina grew up in a strict military family. Her father was a decorated general, obsessed with legacy. From the age of six, Lina was groomed to become a soldier. Combat training replaced toys. Failure meant punishment. At seventeen, she was enrolled in the controversial Titan Project, designed to forge enhanced operatives through genetic engineering and exo-suits. Though it granted her strength and speed, it robbed her of a normal life. Every connection she formed was severed by duty.

Yet a part of her yearned for freedom, for meaning beyond orders. When the unknown vigilante appeared, something inside Lina stirred — admiration, curiosity, and a desire to find out who dared challenge the darkness alone.

Despite her superior tech and training, she couldn't catch him. RiZu wasn't a nightly crusader. He struck like lightning — rare, precise.

Meanwhile, in orbit, an abandoned Soviet spacecraft, lost for 50 years, began its descent. News channels buzzed about its return. But inside that derelict ship lurked something alien — a parasitic organism unlike any other.
