Chapter 1 - Prolouge

The luminescent moon cast its light onto the obsidian floor. The room glowed with the white light and flickering candles. A red tapestry, rolled directly through the center, led to a throne, that of which was of the same darkness as the stone it sat on. Upon the throne, sat a slender woman, adorned with a black robe embellished by crimson red patterns. The darkness, partially concealing her face, could not extinguish the candlelight, which showed her apathetic expression. Below her, an official kneels as he recites his litany of newfound information.

"Are you absolutely certain that it's true, Toshiro?" The woman asks him. The man responds dignantly "Yes, my love, all of what I've ascertained relies not on contingency." The woman's ambivalent expression turns into a smile of maliciousness. "I believe we're ready, release her, she'll find him." Toshiro gasps, stunned by her request. "But, Mizumi, are you positive?! When you became queen, you told me you wouldn't make such an unprecedented decision!" She stands from her throne. "You know that you mustn't say that name, not in such a ventilated area, have caution Toshiro." She remarks astutely. "My apologies, dear." Toshiro remarks laconically. The queen, astounded by his rebellion, responds "As my own second in command, you doubt me, Toshiro, my own love?" Toshiro quickly responds with "If you believe it to be optimal, I am in no position to reproach, my apologies. I shall commence her emancipation tomorrow." She is relieved at his acquiescence. "Very good, my dear Toshiro, you shall see fruition born in time." Toshiro nods his head in acceptance. "Within my mind resides no doubt. In time, nothing will be out of our reach. Within the brightest light, exists an ever present darkness."

AUTHOR'S NOTE:

Hello all! This story is my passion project. The original draft was a script and was written around 5 years ago. Since then, I have taken it down and have rewritten the story multiple times, only to erase it and write it again. What you will read is the final edition of the story, as it's currently being written. Keep in mind that this story will be extremely long, so more details will be added in post, as well as character appearances and details. This is NOT a fan fiction, this is my own work. I have taken inspiration from my love of anime/manga and my passion of classic literature to create this story and it's unique characters. Thank you for checking this story out! If you like what you read, stay tuned, because it will only get better as it goes on!
