Chapter 1 - YOU DAMN IMBECILE!!

"YOU DAMN IMBECILE!!"

{A little while earlier}

A four-year-old boy with light brown skin and dirt-colored brown hair was fast asleep in his bed, rolling around restlessly. Suddenly, he tumbled off the bed, and at that exact moment, the floor began to shake.

The boy's eyes snapped open as he felt the tremor beneath him. Panicked, he instinctively slid back to the window in an instant and jumped out. Landing on the tiled rooftop outside, he realized the shaking had only grown stronger. His heartbeat pounded in his chest as he leaped down to the huge backyard, his bare feet hitting the ground.

The moment he landed, the earthquake peaked, the ground beneath him trembled violently, cracking and rising unevenly.

"MOM! THE GROUND IS SHAKING!" he screamed, running frantically around the backyard, his voice filled with panic.

From inside the house, a large window on the ground floor swung open. A man and a woman both of whom shared the boy's features rushed outside. They stopped in their tracks, stunned.

Their child was running in circles, terrified, while the earth rose and fell wherever he stepped, warping the once-pristine backyard into chaos.

"MOM, DAD, THE GROUND IS BEHAVING WEIRD!" the boy yelled, sprinting toward them.

Just as he ran, his foot caught on a jagged piece of upturned earth. He tripped, falling forward but instead of injuring his forehead, the moment of impact was met with a sudden, rock-like layer covering his skin.

He blinked. He wasn't hurt.

Scrambling back to his feet, he continued running until he reached his parents. His mother scooped him up, holding him tightly, her eyes darting between her son and the ruined backyard.

The moment he was lifted off the ground, the tremors stopped. The rising patches of earth froze in place, no longer shifting.

A heavy silence followed.

The mother stared at her child, who had fainted in her arms, then back at the disaster zone that used to be their garden.

She swallowed, then whispered in disbelief.

"Did he…?"

She didn't finish. She turned to her husband, who was standing beside her, pinching the bridge of his nose. With a deep sigh, he nodded.

"Yeah. Looks like he awakened his Quirk… like this." His gaze flickered toward the backyard.

After a brief moment of stunned silence, he exhaled. "Let's take him to the Association's Hospital."

His wife nodded wordlessly, still staring at her unconscious child.

~~~~~
A Rolls-Royce Cullinan cruised through the roads of Japan. Inside sat Iwakura Daichi, one of Japan's top 10 S-Rank heroes, currently ranked number 4. He glanced at his wife, Iwakura Reina, another S-Rank hero, ranked number 9, and chuckled.
"Why do you look so surprised? We hoped he'd have a powerful Quirk, and it looks like he does," Daichi said with amusement.
Reina, who had mostly recovered from the shock of the earlier events, looked down at her sleeping child in her arms. "I'm just shocked at how powerful his Quirk actually is. It looks like he inherited both of our abilities, mixed them together, and made them even stronger."
Daichi's Quirk, Geo Morph, allowed him to manipulate and reshape earth-based materials like rock, dirt, and sand within a certain radius. He could create walls, spikes, or even trigger small earthquakes.
Reina's Quirk, Stonehide, was a Transformation-type ability that let her harden her skin into rock, granting immense durability and resistance to physical attacks. She could control the density of her hardened areas, making her a versatile fighter both defensively and offensively.
Daichi nodded thoughtfully. "It's rare, but after the latest evolution, there have been children who awakened both an Emitter and a Transformation-type Quirk at the same time." He let out a small laugh. "I had to train like hell just to make some small earthquakes but he did it as part of his awakening."
Reina's eyes shone with realization. "Yes, and I even noticed that the armor on his forehead appeared on its own, not something he consciously activated. If that's the case, then his Quirk might be even more powerful than we imagined." A brilliant smile spread across her face. She held her son close, brushing a hand over his soft brown hair, and murmured, "It's good that his Quirk is strong. That way, he can protect himself if we aren't there to protect him."
Daichi wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "Don't say things like that, dear. They say you can jinx it," he teased lightly, then smirked. "And don't worry about him being alone. I mean, who would even dare to mess with us if we work together let alone harm our son. Besides, did you forget who his aunt is? She'd send an army of heroes if someone even touched a hair on this child."
Reina chuckled at that, her earlier worries fading slightly.
The driver, who had been silent up until now, smiled as he kept his eyes on the road. "It looks like the young master has a great Quirk," he remarked.
This was Muzen, the butler of the Iwakura family. Few had ever seen him in action, but the ones who had told very different stories about him.
Daichi nodded from his seat. "Of course. Who do you think his parents are?"
The three of them laughed as the car continued moving through the city.
~~~~~

Eventually, they arrived at a massive, glass-covered building. From the outside, it looked as if a single punch could shatter it, but in reality, even world-class heroes would struggle to break through its structure. A large "H" and "A" logo stood at the front, signifying that this was a Hero Association property.

As soon as the Rolls-Royce came to a stop, Reina and Daichi stepped out of the car. No one tried to stop them as they walked toward the entrance.

After all, who would dare stand in the way of an S-Rank couple?

As they approached the elevator, Reina suddenly turned to Daichi with a teasing smile.

"Did you inform Ino?" she asked casually.

Daichi froze.

A groan escaped his lips as he realized he hadn't told his sister anything about his son's quirk awakening.

Reina giggled, clearly enjoying his frustration, as she stepped inside the elevator.

Daichi quickly pulled out his phone and made a call as he followed her in.

Reina and Daichi stepped out of the elevator, arriving on a floor that technically didn't exist. It was above the 20th floor, but no level was labeled as such. This floor was exclusively reserved for S-Rank heroes and their immediate families, one of the many privileges that came with being a top-tier hero.

They walked through the hallways until they reached a door labeled Dr. Chiyo Kanao.

Dr. Kanao was Japan's only S-Rank healer, known by her hero name, Recovery Angel. She followed in the footsteps of her grandmother, the legendary Recovery Girl, Chiyo Shuzenji. Ranked 10th among S-Rank heroes, her abilities were shrouded in mystery, but she was undeniably the best healer in the country.

Without knocking, Reina pushed the door open and stepped inside.

"Kanao," she called out.

There was a loud clatter behind the curtain.

A few moments later, a woman stumbled out, dressed in a disheveled doctor's coat. Her red hair was a mess, her clothes slightly wrinkled, and there was an undeniable awkwardness in the air.

Daichi coughed. Reina narrowed her eyes at her old friend and simply said,

"Go."

A man stepped out from behind the curtain and wordlessly exited the room.

Daichi raised a brow, recognizing him. An A-Rank hero. He thought he had seen the man during a raid once.

Meanwhile, Kanao had already fixed her appearance, standing in front of Reina with a bright, innocent smile. She wrapped her arms around Reina dramatically.

"Oh, my dear friend, my best friend what brings you here?" she cooed.

It was clear from the interaction that the two had a close relationship.

Reina sighed, unimpressed by the act. "Stop, or I'll punch you in the face."

Kanao immediately straightened up. She had suffered too many of Reina's punches over the years to take that threat lightly.

Reina lifted Akira, who still looked like he was having the best sleep of his life, and said, "Aki awakened his Quirk. Check him to see if there are any problems."

Kanao's eyes widened before she nodded enthusiastically, almost like a chicken pecking at food. She carefully took Aki from Reina and laid him on a medical table.

She pricked his tiny finger, collecting a small drop of blood into a test tube. Then, she let a drop of her own blood mix with his before closing her eyes.

Kanao's Quirk, DetectorRemedy, allowed her blood to act as a medical library, analyzing injuries and healing them in the best possible way. There was very little public information about her Quirk, but among heroes, it was considered the most powerful healing ability in the country.

After a few seconds, she opened her eyes and said, "There are no internal injuries or Quirk-related damage. Not even any hidden ones. He'll wake up once his body fully adjusts to his Quirk or when he simply wants to wake up."

Reina and Daichi sighed in relief.

Even though they knew nothing was likely wrong, they couldn't help but worry. It was normal for a child to faint after awakening their Quirk the body needed time to adjust. Almost everyone went through a similar experience.

However, Daichi frowned and cleared his throat. "Then why is that still there?"

He pointed to Aki's forehead, where the layer of hardened earth had protected him earlier.

Kanao glanced at it as well and hummed in thought. "It's not harmful, but I'll have to run additional tests to see exactly what it is. How did it appear? One of your Quirks?"

Reina quickly explained what had happened.

Kanao thought for a moment before nodding in understanding. "It looks like this ability of his works involuntarily. If his body believes he's in danger, it will automatically protect him. Since he fainted right after he fell, his body still thinks it's in defense mode."

She tapped her chin. "It will probably fade once he wakes up and his body relaxes. I could give him a relaxant, but it's better if we just wait."

Before Reina or Daichi could respond, the door suddenly swung open with a loud bang.

A woman's voice roared through the room.

"YOU DAMN IMBECILE!"
