Chapter 1 - The Soul

An amalgamation that can be described as naught but chaos.

Imagine, if you will, an inky sea of black. The sea is endless, your light provided through means unknown. The viscous black substance roils around but no sensation can be felt. Deep reds and bright blues flash through almost swimming like strange fish. The sea is churning constantly, splashing incredibly high waves which form shapes that don't make logical sense. Briefly people, beasts, swirling patterns, flame, and the waves are going higher, their movements faster and faster. Before a crescendo can be reached a foreign sound echoes throughout the space bringing instant stillness to the surroundings.

Clink

The source of illumination, above everything, you see it now. A wheel. A golden wheel with eight protruding spines with pearl like objects on the end.

As the sea settles a new sensation can be felt. Order. In a space filled with nothing but chaos. What would your reaction be? To seeing things your mind can't truly comprehend, a space like this? Fear? Excitement? Confusion?

None of those are invalid, even the correct reactions most would say. Mine was simpler, just a deep sigh.

Now now, I'm not exaggerating just to be funny. Nor am I speaking ill of those that react like that. My situation is just… unique. This space I'm describing is not just a random space in the universe, it's my soul. Yes, the soul is truly real and no I'm not batshit insane. I was just like most of you one day actually, someone reading novels online, working and just trying to live. My death certainly put an end to it, but I am happy I lived that life. After death is the strange part.

You know, you read about meeting God (ROB) and gaining wishes, but I can tell you from experience it's not. I just woke up with a system that only showed my personal progress in a completely new world with no explanation. It was a truly frantic situation. I have gained and learned much since then. I have also lost much. Each step, battle, and interaction I had shaped me into the man I am now, but those are stories for our author to tell. I should be getting back now. My astral projection technique can only bridge our worlds for so long, author. Thank you for dictating my message to your world, with good luck my past world. I will leave off with one last message.

Adapt or fall.
