He was falling.
There was nothing resisting him.
The air offered no friction. Gravity had complete possession of his body, dragging him downward at terrifying speed.
Around him came the cackling buzz of electricity.
I... I feel weird.
He opened his eyes.
Immediately, he shut them again.
"Crap."
He screamed, feeling charged air rush all the way to the back of his throat.
Why was the ground approaching this rapidly?
He tried looking around, blinking through the tears that formed from the corner of his eyes.
The situation soon became clear enough.
He was falling.
From the sky.
His speed was unexpectedly supersonic; like a small meteorite,
And he wasn't falling alone.
What descended with him was not human.
Instead it was a large field of neatly crafted lightning bolts.
He tried moving his arms.
He placed them over his head to shield himself from the impact.
The arranged lightnings danced carefully around him, casting pale shadows over his face.
Soon—
'Oh no!'
BOOM.
The world was silent as he fell.
Within the the blink of an eye, he crashed with an earthshattering thud.
The earth cracked.
The ground sank.
Then the entire city quickly turned into a massive crater.
The lightning arcs spread kilometers around him.
They decimated everything, turning all in their path to finely charred nothing.
In a ordinary night, a city and it's entire human populace was wiped off the face of the earth.
Whatever they did to have received such destruction remained unknown left between them and their gods.
Yet,
There was no blood,
No screams were heard, no tears shed, and except for the char around the perimeter; no proof of the occurrence.
No testament that people ever existed here.
It happened instantly, reaping thousands of lives at once.
And when it was over, there was only silence, silence and deadly stillness.
And the cause of all this was fast asleep,
Unharmed.
He lay naked amidst a sea of smoke and debris.

Taxitial Enforcement Agency,
Joint Pantheon Prefecture (J.P.P),
Region Libra,
15:55. Tiw'sday, 4th October 2204.
Commander Pixler massaged his temples as he sank deeper into his seat. He was an old man of about Seventy, but his body; tanned and muscular spoke otherwise,
Coupled with his long blonde hair and wild mustache, they told passable lies about his age.
"The troubles keep on coming. Don't they?" He asked, his eyes moving to the man standing across his desk in a sculptured salute.
The room was lightless, therefore all that could be seen from both the commander and the man were their unearthly gleaming eyes.
"I suppose so, sir"
The man; with a subtly flickering silhouette answered while narrowing his own ocean blue eyes.
"But this time its quite likely to be something different. The reports say that the seers sensed something, or quite possibly, someone falling from the sky".
He paused.
I've read the reports, Gray. They don't add up."
He sighed.
"That makes this even more troublesome. Just thinking about what bullshit we're going to feed those overwhelming cutthroats gives me a headache."
"Are there any survivors?" He asked, aware of the answer, but intent on keeping the conversation flowing.
His eyes seemed to deepen to a stronger red as time slowly passed.
"Yes sir,
"Only one. Male. Teenager. We found him lying naked in what we believe to be the epicenter of the attack site".
The silhouette, Gray replied truthfully.
The commander sighed.
"A single kid managed to survive an attack that decimated an entire city in 2.3 seconds, an attack bearing unknown origins an occurring through an unknown method.
"If not that there are no Supernatural readings on him, there would also be chances that he was the cause".
He shook his head, partly in confusion and in exasperation.
"And that's even stranger because he was able to survive. Was he favored or something?"
"When the Major Faith Nations get wind of this, the kid and all possible experimental chances are as good as gone.
Gray nodded.
The atmosphere in the lightless office room turned somber. And for the few interluding moments, both Commander and his soldier remained silent.
"What are your orders, Sir?" Gray asked slowly, seemingly tentative on choosing the right time to ask.
Across the Taxitial, those with the right sources already knew about Pixler's greatest frustration.
He had never been given an opportunity to work on the shunned project.
Project SP5.
An operation with which the details were known only to part of the Liaison organisation's upper echelon.
"Well,
For once.. let us choose to be selfish.
And I guess for this selfish purpose, we send him to camp"
He nodded slowly, as if to reassure himself that he was making the right decision.
"Get rid of the old report,
I trust you are familiar with the process. Also exterminate any Clansman with knowledge of this.
Classify it as an attack of the terrorist group and label them as Soulthiefs."
The commander spoke without pause.
Gray didn't object.
He understood his position, aware of the fact that he was just a cog in the wheel of the work force.
Speaking out of line once, meant an early death.
"Then, sir" Gray spoke up
"What do you plan on doing, When eventually, the leaders of the Faith Nations get to know of this deceit?"
The teenager was not that important, there were more of his kind than Gray cared to count.
It was the cover up for SP5 that bothered him.
He had asked a simple question. Yet his words hid a deeper meaning that the commander was smart enough to capture:
'Was it worth it?'
The commander knew that if he was caught in the act of monopolizing an intelligence intermediary, the results would be unsightly.
He remained silent for a few moments.
Soldier Gray interpreted his silence as a gesture of indecisiveness.
He chose to hold back his words, listening instead.
"Let them come" Pixler said, finality seeping through his every words .
"It's a one for win chance after all. Gambling really. We play it big or we sign for death"
The Commander chuckled slightly under the silent gaze of his soldier.
"Let them come!".
His chuckles gave way to a mad bout of laughter.
