Chapter 1 - The Beginning

BANG blood ran down a wall as a man bounced off of it. "F*CK ,i swear to God I'm going to ki-" a dark skinned man said as he reached for his gun his eyes shining with a crimson light, he froze, his gun wasn't there, and he wasn't where he remembered. He scanned his surroundings and found it was dark, metallic, industrial. This is not where he went to sleep. Who got to him this time? How did they get him? What did he do to piss these particular people off?

A prison? No, this was far to comfortable, it looked more like crew quarters , it was lit by a dim red light and had bunk beds on both the left and right wall to his front sat a bulkhead, defenetly airtight. Next to the door between the wall and the bunk bed sat a rectangle with uniforms. And behind him sat 2 desks with chairs, no drawers.

Was he on a ship, plasuble but there was no steady hum of engines and no matter how big a ship was if it was running you would hear it and if it wasn't running the ship would rock, but he wasn't, he could neither hear nor feel anything. Was he in a bunker? More likely, the red lights would signify a major problem and that's why everyone left but why was there no alarm? If the lights had power the the alarms would as well, but bunkers were made of primary concrete, this room was pure metal.

He was on a ship, the man's eyes narrowed, as he tried to feel anything, but he couldn't no vibration and no rocking, not even the miniscule amount he had come to expect from large seafaring vessels at breakneck speeds. What caused him to hit the wall? And why was in a position to hit the wall like that? The man pondered it for a couple seconds before moving to size up the uniforms in he closet, examining the insignias, to his astonishment he recognized none of the patches or markings on the uniform. That was a surprise to the man because he spend his life dealing with men in uniform and knowing what patches ment what saved his life many times.

What was more astonishing that the weird patches was the material, it was soft light, elastic and it didn't tear when he pulled almost like a wetsuit but it was firmer an it felt different, rougher, a completely different material with similar properties, intriguing, but the man didn't linner on the oddity instead he slipped into one of the

The man pressed himself against the wall next to the door and waited, 5 minutes, 10, 15 he heard nothing from the opposite side. The man considered if he should try and be stealthy but decided against it, the man was unarmed in unknown territory and he didn't know how he got there so more likely than not the people on this 'ship?' knew he was there.

The man opened the door looking into the hallway and immediately changed his assumption, he was in a bunker of some sort the hallway he found himself in was far longer than any ship he'd ever heard of and much to fortified to be a surface level building. The hallway was lit by dim red emergency lights, power issues, he wanted to look for a map but this was clearly a high level military installation, maps would not be available in this area.
