[Cursed Technique Reversal: Red Lv.2 (1/300): Generates a powerful repulsive force centered on 'Red'. The minimum output is twice the maximum output of 'Blue'. Maximum output approaches positive infinity, resembling a localized miniature supernova.]
A massive deluge of esoteric knowledge flooded into Su Mu's consciousness. His mastery and practical experience in wielding Cursed Technique Reversal: Red skyrocketed!
Su Mu casually cast the technique again. A black-red singularity materialized hovering above his index finger. What used to be the size of a mung bean had now expanded to the size of a ping-pong ball, and the ambient repulsive force it radiated had multiplied several times over!
Staring at the hyper-condensed singularity spinning at his fingertip, Su Mu couldn't help but feel a twinge of nostalgia for the Hulk and the Abomination.
Out of all the battles he had fought so far, physically beating those two into the pavement had provided the absolute best tactile feedback!
That incredibly solid, damage-sponging resilience was something he still couldn't forget!
Wait a minute, Su Mu paused, a thought crossing his mind. When I was eavesdropping on Coulson and Director Furry earlier, they mentioned a strange impact crater in New Mexico housing an unliftable hammer.
Doesn't that mean the God of Hammers has already been banished by Odin and is currently wandering around on Earth?
A fully empowered Thor would undoubtedly make an excellent, highly durable punching bag. And the Destroyer armor controlled by Loki would be even more resilient. They would be perfect test subjects!
An imperceptible, diabolical smirk curved the corners of Su Mu's mouth.
Excellent. I've found my new entertainment!
...
Tracking Spider-Woman's energy signature, he found she was no longer in the alleyway, but resting atop a nearby skyscraper.
Even though Su Mu was in absolutely zero danger during the ambush and didn't actually need her help, he was still genuinely grateful for her intervention.
If she hadn't swung in to "save" him, his complete immunity to the military's mutant inhibitor would have been exposed. That would have ruined his carefully laid trap and robbed him of a lot of future entertainment.
"Thank you for the assist back there," Su Mu said, appearing beside her. "Next time we meet, I'll give you a gift to properly express my gratitude."
Gwen's curiosity was instantly piqued. What kind of gift would the terrifying, god-like White Demon give someone?
Before she could ask, the incredibly charismatic, demonic young man offered a mysterious smile.
"Keep your expectations high. I guarantee you're going to absolutely love it."
Gwen opened her mouth to speak, but the white-haired demon simply took a single step and vanished into thin air, leaving no trace behind.
It was only after he had completely disappeared that Gwen slapped her forehead. She had forgotten to ask him the most important question: Why is he growing so insanely powerful so fast?!
"I guess I'll just have to wait until next time," Gwen murmured, a smile touching her lips. "I'm definitely looking forward to it!" Humming a cheerful tune, she dove off the skyscraper, firing a web line and swinging away into the city.
...
Su Mu didn't immediately teleport to New Mexico. Instead, he casually strolled into a Michelin-starred, ultra-high-end restaurant to enjoy a meal.
At Level 3 Energy Absorption, he couldn't completely substitute physical food with raw energy yet—that milestone would likely be reached at Level 4. But even if he could sustain his biological functions purely on cursed energy, he would never give up eating. Fine dining was one of life's greatest pleasures.
With Su Mu's dramatically enhanced metabolism, eating until he was full at a restaurant of this caliber cost tens of thousands of dollars. But to the current him, money was completely meaningless. It was less than a drop in the ocean.
As his absolute power grew, acquiring wealth had become trivial.
Stepping out of the restaurant, completely satisfied, Su Mu prepared to warp to New Mexico to find the God of Hammers for some fun. But suddenly, he stopped. Several familiar figures had blocked his path.
Their appearances differed slightly from the cinematic universes he remembered, but standing together, their distinct features made them instantly recognizable.
It was the X-Men.
Sitting in a highly advanced wheelchair was the kindly, elderly telepath, Professor X.
Standing behind him, gripping the handles of the wheelchair and wearing his signature custom visor, was Cyclops. Flanking them were the fiery red-haired Jean Grey and the stark white-haired Storm.
"The X-Men?" Su Mu asked, arching an eyebrow. "What do you want with me?"
Aside from sharing a mutual enemy in Colonel Stryker, Su Mu had absolutely zero connections with the X-Men.
Professor X looked up at the white-haired youth, his expression profoundly grave. Through his world-class telepathy, the space where the young man stood registered as an absolute, conceptual void. It was as if he didn't exist at all!
Charles couldn't sense even the slightest ripple of the boy's consciousness. It was like an ant crawling on the foot of an elephant, completely unable to perceive the elephant because to the ant, it was simply an endless, uncrossable earth!
In the exact second he laid eyes on the White Demon, Professor X realized a terrifying truth: the young man standing before him was an entity vastly more terrifying than Jean Grey!
Even when facing the bottomless psychic ocean within Jean, Charles could still perceive the existence of her mind. But against the White Demon? His Omega-level telepathy was completely, fundamentally nullified!
Hearing Su Mu's question, Professor X forced a warm, paternal smile.
"My child," Charles began gently. "I am here to formally invite you to join Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters. The students at our academy are just like you. They are mutants.
"If you join us, you will never have to face the world alone again! Furthermore, your current situation is incredibly precarious. The government and the military have already drafted extreme contingency plans to eliminate you. No matter how powerful your individual mutant abilities are, one man cannot wage war against an entire nation's military-industrial complex!
"Join us. The X-Men will use our diplomatic channels to negotiate with the government and the military. We will fight to have your bounties revoked!"
Behind Charles, Cyclops and the others looked at Su Mu with complete confidence. They were absolutely certain that unless the White Demon was functionally brain-dead, he would eagerly accept the invitation.
Firstly, they were all mutants. They all intimately understood the agonizing pain of being hated by ordinary humans, the sheer, crushing loneliness of being rejected by the entire world.
Mutants craved community! They craved their own kind!
Secondly, the White Demon was currently public enemy number one. Even if he was absurdly powerful, facing the combined, relentless might of the U.S. military and dozens of brainwashed, specialized mutant hounds was suicide. Even he couldn't survive forever!
During his first encounter with Stryker's hit squad, the news claimed the White Demon was nearly killed. He had to understand his own mortality.
As long as they brought him back to the Institute, the Professor could guide him, temper his violent tendencies, and eventually, the X-Men would gain an unbelievably powerful new ally!
Cyclops eagerly awaited the boy's enthusiastic acceptance.
However, the White Demon's response instantly shattered their arrogant, self-righteous illusions, brutally reminding them that they fundamentally did not understand the creature standing before them.
"I apologize," Su Mu said, his tone utterly dismissive. "But I don't feel lonely in the slightest. Nor do I have any interest whatsoever in joining your little school."
Cyclops stared at the White Demon in sheer disbelief. He couldn't comprehend how someone could reject the offer of sanctuary.
For Cyclops, who had been branded a freak and a monster by his peers the moment his powers awakened, Su Mu's absolute apathy was unfathomable!
"If you refuse to stand with your own kind, aren't you afraid of being treated like a monster by the rest of the world?!" Cyclops demanded, stepping forward. "Aren't you afraid of their hatred?! And what about the military's kill squads?! Even you can't possibly defend against an endless army of mutants with unknown, highly classified abilities!"
Su Mu stared at Cyclops for a long second. Slowly, the corners of his mouth began to curve upward.
The smile grew wider and wider, completely unrestrained, until it blossomed into a chilling, diabolical grin of absolute, transcendental arrogance.
"Hahahahaha..." Su Mu's laughter echoed down the street.
"They insult me? I kill them! They hunt me? I kill them! They condemn me? I still kill them!
"I firmly believe that as the death toll continues to rise, they will gradually realize the error of their ways, completely change their mindsets, and ultimately come to a singular, undeniable conclusion:
"The White Demon is an upright, kind, and perfectly law-abiding citizen!"
