Chapter 36 - Template Synchronization 56%

Under Jane Foster's absolute, paralyzed stare, Su Mu stood up, casually shoved his hands into the pockets of his hoodie, and began strolling leisurely toward the heavily fortified SHIELD compound.

He moved with an unhurried, relaxed gait, acting as if he weren't approaching a highly classified military lockdown zone, but rather taking a casual walk through a peaceful holiday resort!

Because of Thor's violent intrusion just moments prior, the SHIELD agents were already on extreme high alert. The moment Su Mu breached the perimeter, he was immediately spotted.

A squad of agents rushed forward to intercept him. But as they closed the distance and got a clear look at his face, they instinctively froze in their tracks.

"White hair... crystalline blue eyes... It's the White Demon!" one of the agents screamed, his voice cracking with terror.

Compared to the general public, these elite SHIELD agents had a much deeper, far more terrifying understanding of exactly what the White Demon was capable of!

Unlike the X-Men, who desperately sought peaceful coexistence, or the Brotherhood of Mutants, who wanted to conquer humanity, the White Demon was a chaotic, god-like anomaly who acted entirely on his own whims!

Because he possessed no unifying ideology, no clear political goals, and absolutely zero moral reservations, his actions were entirely unpredictable. He was the ultimate, most terrifying wildcard on the planet!

"Wait," another agent stammered in disbelief. "Shouldn't the White Demon be in New York right now? Could this just be a really good cosplayer?!"

For a split second, a desperate flicker of hope ignited in the agents' hearts. But as the white-haired figure took another step forward, that illusion was violently shattered!

As Su Mu walked, he passively projected a fraction of the repulsive force from Cursed Technique Reversal: Red.

An invisible, terrifying wave of spatial pressure erupted outward, violently launching the intercepting agents dozens of feet into the air!

Alarms instantly blared across the entire compound. Frantic, overlapping voices flooded the encrypted radio channels:

"Code Red! The White Demon is attacking the compound! Repeat, the White Demon is here!"

Unlike their response to Thor's brawling, the SHIELD agents reacted to this threat with mechanical, desperate precision. Hundreds of assault rifles and heavy weapons were instantly trained on the lone, approaching figure!

Perched high on a vantage point above the crater, Hawkeye, who had been relaxed during Thor's assault, heard the frantic comms chatter. His expression instantly darkened into absolute grimness as he peered down at the entrance.

There, a single figure was walking unhurriedly, his hands resting casually in his pockets.

With every step he took, a massive, invisible repulsive field expanded outward, effortlessly sweeping away everything within a dozen-meter radius. Whether it was the heavy temporary structures, reinforced fencing, or the highly trained agents—everything was violently blasted away from his path!

Hawkeye stared intensely at the White Demon, drawing his high-tech compound bow back to its absolute limit. His finger rested on the release, hesitating.

Just then, as if sensing the archer's gaze, the White Demon casually tilted his head up and looked directly at him.

Those crystalline blue eyes held absolutely zero emotion. It was a gaze of total, god-like indifference—the look of a human staring at a speck of dust.

Meeting that gaze, a chill ran down Hawkeye's spine. He slowly lowered his bow, completely abandoning the thought of firing his explosive arrow.

He knew with absolute certainty that his arrow wouldn't scratch the White Demon, but the moment he fired it, he would forfeit his own life. The White Demon could casually swat him out of the sky with a stray thought.

As a highly trained, elite operative, Clint Barton didn't fear death. But he absolutely refused to throw his life away in a completely meaningless sacrifice!

Inside the mobile command center, surrounded by a wall of tactical monitors, the automated warning continued to blare.

"Warning: White Demon assault in progress!"

"Warning: White Demon assault in progress!"

A bald man wearing glasses adjusted his frames. A sharp glint flashed in his eyes as he subtly stepped into a blind spot and rapidly tapped out an encrypted message to an unknown IP address. Then, he turned back to the room and issued a firm command.

"Do not engage! Stand down and do not provoke the White Demon! We are completely outmatched. I will not authorize a meaningless slaughter!" The bald agent turned to his colleague. "Agent Coulson, you've established prior contact with him. We have to rely on you to de-escalate this!"

Deep within the compound, Phil Coulson was currently in an interrogation room, trying to question Thor. Hearing the blaring alarms and the frantic radio chatter declaring the White Demon's arrival, Coulson froze.

Why is he here in New Mexico?!

Coulson's mind raced. He instantly thought of the unliftable hammer sitting in the crater. If there's anything on this base capable of attracting a god-like entity like the White Demon, it has to be that 0-8-4!

Without a second of hesitation, Coulson sprinted out of the interrogation room, rushing toward the front gates.

Left alone in the interrogation room, Thor listened to the blaring alarms echoing through the halls.

"The White Demon?" Thor muttered. "Isn't that the guy Su Mu was cosplaying? Why is the real one suddenly here?"

Then, a horrifying realization hit the depowered God of Thunder. He remembered their conversation in the van, and how entirely unfazed the boy had been about breaching a heavily armed military base.

"By the Norns..." Thor's jaw dropped. "He wasn't cosplaying at all, was he? Everything he said in the car... he was telling the absolute truth!"

...

The moment Coulson burst out of the command tent, he was met with a scene of absolute devastation. A massive chunk of their forward operating base had been effortlessly flattened by the invisible repulsive force!

A torrential downpour was hammering the desert, turning the ground into a thick, muddy swamp. Dozens of SHIELD agents were scattered across the mud, groaning in pain, completely drenched and looking utterly miserable.

And standing out in stark, terrifying contrast to the chaos, was the White Demon.

He was suspended slightly above the ground, casually walking on thin air. The torrential rain couldn't even touch him; the droplets hit an invisible barrier dozens of meters away and violently deflected outward.

He strolled through the air, his clothes pristine, completely devoid of a single speck of dust. He looked like an ethereal, transcendent being entirely detached from this mortal realm!

Seeing the terrifying, invisible force field continuing to crush the base's infrastructure, Coulson desperately cupped his hands around his mouth and screamed over the storm.

"Mr. Su Mu! Mr. Su Mu! It's me, Phil Coulson! From Stark Tower! Please, stand down! You are entirely welcome here!"

Hovering in the void, Su Mu heard Coulson's shout. He casually retracted the repulsive field of Red and took a single step, warping space to materialize directly beside Coulson.

Seeing Su Mu stop the destruction, Coulson let out a massive sigh of relief and wiped the rain from his face.

"Mr. Su Mu," Coulson said, forcing a polite smile. "There was no need for such a grand entrance. If you wanted to visit, you only had to ask."

Su Mu chuckled in amusement. If I didn't have absolute power, your attitude would be completely different right now, wouldn't it?

"My apologies," Su Mu smiled radiantly. "I was just saying hello. I didn't mean any harm."

Coulson glanced at the dozens of groaning agents and the half-destroyed base, screaming internally. This is your idea of 'saying hello'?! But Coulson also knew that for an entity capable of wiping out New York City, this was him holding back.

"May I ask what brings you all the way out here?" Coulson asked cautiously.

Su Mu casually shoved his hands back into his pockets and began walking deeper into the base. "You guys arrested a friend of mine. I came to pick him up."

Coulson instantly thought of the massive, blonde brawler they had just detained. A cold sweat broke out on his forehead. Thank God we didn't use excessive force or torture him! If we had hurt the White Demon's friend, this entire base would be a crater right now!

Entering the main containment structure, Su Mu walked directly toward the center of the crater where Mjolnir rested.

As he approached, the Six Eyes easily pierced through a layer of complex optical illusions. He saw a figure standing over the hammer, desperately trying to lift it.

But clearly, he was entirely unworthy. No matter how hard the figure pulled, the hammer remained fused to the rock.

Knowing exactly who the strange, armored man was, Su Mu spoke up, his voice dripping with pure, mocking amusement.

"Give it up, Loki. You can't lift it because you are completely unworthy!"

Hearing this, Loki violently spun around. He stared at Su Mu in absolute shock. He was currently using advanced Asgardian illusion magic; no mortal should have been able to perceive him, let alone know his name!

But seeing it was merely a Midgardian, Loki quickly regained his composure. He puffed out his chest, looking down his nose at Su Mu with absolute, aristocratic arrogance.

"A powerful mortal," Loki sneered, spreading his arms grandly. "You have the distinct honor of bowing before the true King of Asgard!"

Su Mu looked at the incredibly arrogant God of Mischief.

He then glanced internally at his System interface. Over the past few days of continuously absorbing the Arc Reactors' energy, his Template Synchronization had quietly climbed to a staggering 56%. His arsenal of cursed techniques and raw physical stats had reached terrifying new heights.

A deeply sinister, incredibly entertained smile blossomed on Su Mu's face.

Oh, this is going to be fun. It was time to teach this disobedient, arrogant little baby a very painful lesson!
