Chapter 1 - UNFAMILIAR PLACES

KELVIN'S POV

The jingling sound pulled me out of my peaceful slumber.

My eyes slowly opened.

I slowly sat in the bed rubbing my eyes.

"Who are you and where am I?" His eyes moved around the room.

"Calm down baby." I lowly groaned.

His whole body froze and he turned towards me.

I smiled.

Of course he liked it.

"B-baby?" He ran his hands over his face.

"Do you like this place? I built it especially for you." I glanced at him.

His fingers slowly twitched and he looked at me.

His eyes wide.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" He yelled.

The smile on my face instantly dropped and was replaced by a frown.

"Don't shout, it's not good for you." I stretched and got off the bed.

I walked around the bed to his side.

" Are you hungry? What do you want for breakfast?" I knelt beside the bed.

"Look man, I think you've got the wrong person. Please let me go." He put his hands together.

Wrong person?

I gently put my hands over his, he flinched making my heart squeeze in pain.

I wasn't gonna hurt him, so why was he flinching.

"Jeff," I whispered, "I am not gonna hurt you."

"How do you know my name?" He yanked his hands away from me.

"Do you truly not remember me? Well that's alright." I smiled getting up.

I turned around and walked towards the door.

"Wait, where are you going? Don't leave me here!"

The sound of the chain hitting the ground told me that he'd gotten off the bed.

"Don't worry love, I am going to get us some breakfast. And then I will answer all of your questions." I smiled and walked out the door.

"Eat your food." I beamed at him.

He continued staring at me.

Did he find me so attractive that he couldn't even take his eyes off of me?

I smiled and bit a slice of toasted bread.

"Where am I?" His velvety voice caressed my ears.

"Our home." I looked up at him.

"Our home? Man, who the heck even are you?" He didn't make any move to eat his food.

"Jeff, eat your food. I made your favorite breakfast. Toasted bread, half done scrambled eggs, sliced tomatoes and coffee. Three sugars, one tablespoon of milk and a little bit of cinnamon."

"You're crazy." He stood up quickly, causing the chair he was sitting on to fall onto the ground.

"Yes," I stabbed the tomato on my plate.

"I am crazy about you. You make me crazy."

"Listen man - I am not who you think I am." He bent down trying to remove the chain around his ankle.

"Stop it." I warned him but he wouldn't stop.

I got up and walked towards him, my anger growing with each step.

How dare he?

How dare he try to get away from me after making me fall for him.

After everything I built.

After everything he promised.

I wasn't gonna let him go, he loved me just like I loved him but he was just too much of a coward to say it.

He was being unreasonable.

I swung my foot into his side. He fell over on his side, a groan leaving his mouth.

I swung again aiming for his stomach this time.

I kicked him again and again and again.

He let out a muffled cry snapping me out of my rage.

I knelt down besides him, guilt eating away at me.

What?

Why did I do that?

I shouldn't hit him. I can't hit him.

He needs to agree to stay with me all by himself with no violence.

"I am sorry. I am so sorry. My baby, my love please forgive me." I pulled him into a hug.

He squirmed in my arms.

But I didn't blame him. I'd hurt him like a psychopath.

"Please, let me go." His voice cracked.

"No, no baby, this is your home now. Our home. Where do you wanna go?" I placed my hands on both of his shoulders.

I needed to make him feel better, so that he would stop saying nonsense about leaving our home.

I had spent six months building this place just for him.

"I am not your baby! Let me out you psycho!" He snapped moving away from me.

Tears streaked down his face.

Even when he cried he was beautiful.

I pouted.

Why was he saying all this? There wasn't anything missing here.

There was a beautiful bedroom with a big and comfortable bed, a beautiful bathroom with a tub and a shower, a dining room with a big table and I even put a TV for him.

So why?

"Why do you want to leave me? Didn't you promise to stay with me and love me?" I sniffled.

He was really hurting my feelings.

"Promise? To love you? Me?" He pointed to himself and let out a bitter laugh.

"Yes, you did. So please Jeff, don't leave me. Everyone always leaves me." I covered my face.

He sniffled.

I looked up at him and he began aggressively wiping his tears.

We were gonna stay here together.

Forever.

Because Jeff kept his promises.
