The story begins in a high-tech lab with a scientist named Richard. His voice echoes with a sense of frantic triumph.
"I've finally done it... my childhood dream. A Time Machine." But the laws of this machine were absolute. During time travel, only the soul could cross the threshold; the physical body would stay behind, risking incineration from the sheer intensity of high energy.
"I'll set the timer for 10 hours," Richard muttered to himself. "Today, I finally fulfill my destiny. Machine starting in 20 minutes."
[20 Minutes Later]
"Where... where am I? Is this the future? Wow, this is incredible!" Richard's excitement was short-lived as a terrifying realization hit him. "Wait—no! I was supposed to enter a new vessel within 5 minutes of arrival. I built a robotic body capsule back in the lab specifically for this... but where is it?!"
His heart sank into an abyss of despair. In his haste, he had forgotten to activate the capsule. His robotic body never made the journey; it was left behind in the past, trapped in that cold lab. He was now a soul with no form, no anchor.
10 Seconds Remaining.
"If I don't find a body right now, I'll become invisible forever—erased from existence!" In a surge of pure panic, he lunged toward the closest presence he could feel—a young boy standing nearby.

When he opened his eyes, his limbs felt heavy and alien. He didn't know who this boy was or what he looked like, but he felt a strange, surging power within this new skin.
He had expected to land in an open field or a peaceful garden, but the sight before him was nightmare fuel. The sky was a deep, bruised violet, and jagged black towers pierced the horizon like broken needles.
"This... this isn't where I was supposed to be," Richard whispered, using the boy's unfamiliar voice. "Have I crossed into an entirely different world?"
