Chapter 1 - 1 | The Price of a Pathetic Fantasy

January 10th. 11:47 PM.

Jordan's apartment smelled like shit.

He had empty Monster Energy cans on the desk, a half empty pizza box from at least a week ago, and sheets that were starting to color.

But none of that mattered to Jordan.

He was laying on that musty bed with his phone on his left hand, right hand stroking his dick slowly.

Calypso's voice came through the earbuds low and sultry as if she was whispering into his ears directly.

"Mmmph... there you go, baby... keep going for mommy..."

This personalized video cost him three hundred dollars on top of the three grand for a meet-up scheduled tomorrow. Which meant he spent more than most people's rent money on a girl who didn't know his face or his name in about a week.

On screen, Calypso pressed a dildo to her lips. Her face was blurred but he could still see the blue streak in her hair, the column of her throat, and those lush pink lips parting slowly around the silicone as she took the dildo deep with a wet sound.

"Mmnh... just like that..."

Her tongue ran up the side of it. A long, slow drag.

"Haahh... you feel so good... come on, keep going..."

Jordan's hand moved. His phone hand shook a little.

As he closed his eyes, a memory he spent three hundred dollars to forget surfaced in his mind.

Just like that he was transported to the Sunset Love Hotel parking lot on Christmas day. The weather outside was cold enough that his breath was visible when exhaling and his hands wouldn't stop shaking.

It wasn't from the cold.

He saw Eliza Hartwell, his girlfriend in a red dress and Cameron Mitchell in a dress shirt with his hand on the small of her back.

"He's just some guy from math class."

That's what she said when Cameron asked who he was.

"We're dating! I just bought you that Prada bag!"

Oh my god he actually said that out loud in a hotel parking lot during Christmas in front of a guy who could bench press him.

Cameron laughed at that the same way you laughed at an angry harmless baby. Then right in front of me, Cameron kissed my girlfriend. He held her jaw in one hand and her left ass cheek in his other hand right there in the parking lot. Eliza made a sound that Jordan had never heard in their three months of dating.

"Mmm... Cam..."

That sound mixed with Calypso's voice in his earbuds now.

"Haaah... you're doing so well... cum for me..."

Jordan's hand was moving even faster now. He wasn't sure if that made it worse or if he was just at the point of no return.

Cameron pulled back from Eliza's mouth, thumb wiping her bottom lip. He then looked over at Jordan and smirked.

"Your girlfriend tastes amazing. Thanks for paying for our room tonight, by the way."

Jordan looked to Eliza for any explaination, any hope that this could be some elaborate Christmas day prank but when Eliza looked at him he knew this wasn't a prank.

She had no guilt, no apology loading behind those beautiful eyes of hers.

"Jordan, we were never dating and I'm done pretending. Lose my number."

Eliza turned back to Cameron and put her hand on his chest. Cameron's arm went around her and they walked towards the entrance of the hotel lobby.

Jordan stood in the parking lot for twenty minutes.

"Good boy... keep going for mommy... that's it... haahh..."

Calypso's moan came through the left earbud. On screen she had the dildo fully in her mouth, head tilted back, throat moving.

"Cum for me."

Jordan came.

His hand went still as his body jerked up, the movement dropping the phone on the floor. The video kept playing because the personalized video came with three minutes of aftercare audio by Calypso.

The room was quiet except for her voice playing through the earbuds on the ground, saying something about how proud she was of him.

Jordan looked at the mess on his hand, at the cracked phone screen, at the half empty pizza box, at the stack of mail left unopened, at the textbooks on his desk with their spines still unbroken because he hadn't opened those either.

"What… the actual…" He didn't finish the sentence.

There was nothing he could say that would be able to finish that specific sentence. What was he doing?

Shit, he was crying.

There it is, I have officially hit rock bottom. I'm a nineteen year old man crying in an apartment paid by his father after paying a woman on the internet to talk him through finishing while imagining a girl who treated him like gum on the bottom of a shoe.

Jordan got up and went to his full bathroom to wash his hands and stood in front of the mirror for awhile.

The face in the mirror looked exactly how he felt on the inside. Bad hair from a dye job he did three months ago that started growing out in patches of dirty blonde, dark circles around his eyes from too many late night gooning sessions, and a face set in a way that the first thing out of its mouth would be the word sorry.

His phone buzzed from on the floor. He went back to pick it up expecting nothing, maybe an Uber Eats discount code or a Discord notification from one of those 18+ dating servers.

It was from his mom.

Susan McKnight, 11:52 PM:

Jordan honey, I know things have been hard. I know Dad's been tough on you about the allowance, but please know it's because he believes in you.

He wouldn't push if he didn't think you could handle more. He sees something in you that you haven't seen yet.

We both do.

We know you're meant for great things. We love you so much. Get some sleep.

Call me this weekend.
