Chapter 1 - The Secret Meeting

Principal Han's office was usually calm and quiet, but today it felt tense. Teachers were gathered, and whispers filled the air. The Principal looked around at the faces of the teachers and the heads of the core departments: Mathematics, Humanities, Sciences, and the Head of Student Affairs. Their expressions ranged from thoughtful to stern. Outside the large windows, a beautiful, peaceful garden contrasted with the tension in the room

Principal Han began, speaking calmly but firmly. Zenith has always focused on helping each student achieve their best. However, we now see the need for a more focused approach. Starting this semester, we will place all top students—identified by their academic skills, family connections, or leadership abilities—into one specialized Advanced Studies track. The ripple went around the table.

The Head of Student Affairs, a woman with a sharp gaze, raised an eyebrow. "Principal, this includes Ember, Kenji, and the Li boy from Robotics, right? Their personalities are very different."

The Head of Mathematics, a smart-looking man, adjusted his glasses. "And let's not forget the unusual kids from Class A," he added quietly. "Especially that one. If anything goes wrong, the school will have to explain."

Principal Han looked at them and smiled slightly. "Exactly because of this. The goal is to develop new leaders and make them learn from each other. We will test this new group, both in their studies and socially. The best students will work together."

The teachers shared uneasy looks. They understood the principal's aim: to create a setting where future leaders would either grow strong together or clash. And everyone knew Ember Blackwood, the girl whole school fears would be at the center of it.
