Chapter 1 - Maybe a dream

"Today's dream was… different,It felt real"

He was flying.

Not like falling, not like floating—just freely moving through the open sky. The wind rushed past him, but it didn't hurt. It felt light… almost peaceful. He could go anywhere he wanted, without effort, without limits.

"This is fun!" he murmured to himself, a small smile forming on his face as he moved higher into the sky.

For a moment, nothing else mattered—No thoughts,No worries,Just the sky.

He opened his eyes.

The ceiling above him.

His room.

"…a dream," he whispered.

He sat up slowly, running a hand through his hair, still feeling that strange sense of freedom from before.

"Still… that was a good one."

He stretched a little and looked outside the window. The sunlight was soft.

Sunday.

"No work today… I should go out," he said quietly. "Get some fresh air."

The city felt calm.

Not empty—but not crowded either.

He walked without any plan, just letting his feet take him wherever they wanted.

First, a small coffee shop.

He ordered something simple and sat by the window, watching people pass by. Nothing special, nothing exciting—but it felt… peaceful.

After that, he wandered into a bookstore.

The quiet atmosphere, the smell of books, the soft sound of pages turning—it all felt comforting. He picked up a book, flipped through a few pages, then put it back.

He wasn't really there to buy anything.

Just to be there.

The day passed like that.

Slow.

Calm.

By the time the sun began to set, he found himself back near his apartment.

A small place.

One bedroom. One bathroom. A living room and a kitchen.

Not big but enough.

He made something simple for dinner.

Nothing special.

After eating, he cleaned up, turned off most of the lights, and walked back to his bed.

As he lay down, staring at the ceiling, a thought crossed his mind—

"Maybe… I'll have another dream today."

A faint smile appeared and his eyes slowly grew heavy.

And soon—He fell asleep.

He opened his eyes.

A white sky.

"what?"

He blinked, confused as there was no ceiling, no walls.

He quickly sat up—but froze.

He wasn't in his room, he was standing in a forest.

The trees were… strange.

Their trunks were normal dark brown, rough but the leaves… dark blue. Deep, unnatural blue.

He looked around slowly.

"I don't think… I'm dreaming," he said under his breath. "Then where am I?"

He started walking.

Step by step, but something felt off.

The surroundings…

They were repeating, the same trees and the same ground.

Again and again.

He stopped.

"Is anybody here?" he shouted. "Hey! Anybody?!"

No response, Only silence.

A heavy, unnatural silence.

"This has to be a dream," he muttered, trying to wake himself up. "Why the heck am I not waking up?"

Then—A voice.

Calm, From above.

"What's your name, human?"

He froze.

Slowly—He looked up.

Nothing, Just the white sky.

"Who are you?" he said, confusion clear in his voice. "And where am I? This doesn't feel like a dream."

Silence.

A few seconds passed.

Then the voice spoke again—

"Don't worry. You are not in a dream and this is not your world."

His expression tightened.

"If this is not a dream then where am I?"

he asked, his tone rising slightly—fear and irritation mixing together.

"We are in the Zoe Forest."

"Zoe Forest?" he repeated, confused.

Now irritation clearly showed on his face.

"How is it not my world?"

Silence again.

"You don't need to know that much for now, what matters is why I brought you here."
