Chapter 3 – Safe... For Now
Author's POV
They reached the hospital as quickly as possible.
Without wasting a second, Jay and Keifer were rushed to the Emergency Department.
The doctors saw their condition and immediately transferred both of them to the ICU.
Outside the ICU...
Angelo, C-In, and Aries waited anxiously.
After some time, the rest of Section E arrived at the hospital.
Everyone was silent.
No one dared to speak.
The only sound was the ticking of the clock as they prayed for Jay and Keifer to survive.
Almost an hour and a half later...
The ICU doors finally opened.
The doctor walked out and looked at everyone.
Angelo immediately stepped forward.
"Doctor... How are they?"
The doctor gave a small nod.
"They're both out of danger."
Everyone let out a sigh of relief.
"But..."
The doctor's expression turned serious.
"Ms. Jay's condition is still very critical."
"She lost a significant amount of blood."
"She'll need plenty of rest and close observation."
Angelo lowered his head.
"Thank you, Doctor."
"When can we see them?"
The doctor replied,
"You may visit Mr. Keifer now."
"But Ms. Jay needs more time to recover. No visitors are allowed for the moment."
Angelo nodded in understanding.
As soon as the doctor left, the members of Section E hurried towards Keifer's room.

Angelo's POV
I watched everyone run to Keifer's room.
A heavy sigh escaped my lips.
They're only teenagers...
They should be enjoying school, laughing with friends, and dreaming about their future.
Instead...
They're risking their lives every single day.
I clenched my fists.
They're not just my teammates.
They're my family.
My younger siblings.
Especially...
Keifer.
And Jay-Jay.
Both of them have suffered far more than anyone their age ever should.
I looked through the ICU window at Jay's unconscious figure.
A promise formed silently in my heart.
No matter what happens...
I will protect every single one of them.
Even if it costs me my own life.
