Synopsis
In an age where gods have fallen silent and the world is ruled by hidden dominions, a young man awakens a forbidden power known as Kala Sankalpa — the authority over shadow, time, and fate itself. Born as an ordinary human, he is pulled into a cosmic struggle between ancient beings, demon lords, celestial entities, and forgotten realms. As the balance of existence begins to collapse, he must walk a path between divinity and destruction. With every step, his power grows… but so does the price he must pay. This is not the story of a chosen hero. This is the rise of a sovereign who will decide the fate of all worlds.

ASSVATTHA

AGE OF THAPASYA

Volume 1-The World That Should

Not Exist Prologue: Before Time Learned to Obey Before gods carved laws into existence. Before demons learned to fear destruction.

Before even fate understood what it was

meant to control-

There was only will

Not divine will.

Not mortal will.

Just will

A will so ancient that time itself had not yet

decided how to measure it.

And from that will, existence was born. But existence made a mistake.

It created rules.

Chapter 1: The Vow That Darkened the

World

Long before the world leamed fear-

before screams became a daily sound, before hope turned into a forbidden dream-

there was a throne carved from obsidian and bone

Upon it sat Kalantaka, the Demon King.

His horns curved backward like a crescent moon drowned in blood. His skin was blackened as if scorched by dying stars,

etched with glowing crimson runes that pulsed like living wounds. Each breath he took

caused the air itself to distort, bending inward

as though reality was being dragged toward

him.

Around him stood demon lords-ancient beings born from hatred, chaos, and the void between worlds. Some had wings made of

burning shadows. Some had bodies fused

with weapons. Some had no physical form at all, existing only as pressure that crushed minds.

Yet even Kalantaka was not satisfied.

Because above demons-

stood the gods

And above gods-

stood Shiva.

The Penance Beyond Existence Kalantaka did not invade the heavens. He did not challenge the gods.

He did not wage war.

Instead.

He sat down.

In a void beyond space, beyond time, beyond even the concept of death, the Demon King began tapasya.

Cosmic storms tore through his body

Divine fire burned his flesh into nothingness.

His blood evaporated into raw energy.

His mind was attacked by Illusions of endless suffering-worlds dying, demons screaming. even himself being erased.

The gods tried to break him.

They sent hunger that could swallow

universes.

Pain that erased memory.

Silence that drove minds into madness.

But Kalantaka did not move.

Centuries passed.

Then millennia.

And finally-

Shiva opened his eyes.

The cosmos trembled.

Even the gods fell silent.

Kalantaka, body shattered yet will unbroken,

knelt.

"O Mahadeva," he said, voice echoing across

non-existence.

"Grant me a world where my kind will no longer bow."

Shiva looked at him,

Not with anger

Not with mercy

But with something far worse.

Understanding.

"You seek dominion" Shiva said.

"But dominion always demands a price."

Kalantaka lowered his head.

"I accept"

Shiva raised his trident.

And thus-

The First Vow was born.

A vow that did not bless demons.

A vow that did not curse the world.

A vow that tilted reality itself.

The Age of Shadowed Dominion

Demons did not conquer the world.

They claimed it

Human kingdoms burned in days.

Libraries turned to ash

Temples collapsed.

Kings were forced to kneel-or died

screaming.

Elves were hunted for their mana-rich blood.

Dwarves were enslaved to forge weapons

they would never wield.

Beastkin were branded, chained, and used as

living shields.

Demons ruled not with power alone-

but with cruelty,

They turned suffering into art.

Despair into entertainment

A demon lord once burned an entire city just

to hear how long the screams would echo.

And no one stopped them.

Because no one could

The gods watched.

Bound by their own vow.

The Silent One in the Mountains

While the world drowned in darkness-

Parashuram sat in silence.

High in the Himalayas, where even time

slowed to a crawl, snow buried his body. Wind

cut against his skin like blades. His breath

was calm. His mind was empty.

He was in thapasya for centuries decades even before demon king but not for power

For the peace

The world fell.

But Parashuram did not open his eyes.

Not because he did not care

but because destiny had not yet called him.

The Awakening

He opened his after the demons got the vow after serval months

One day-

the mountain shook.

Not from earthquakes.

From screams.

They reached him not as sound..

...but as truth.

Parashuram's eyes opened.

And the world rushed back in.

The snow around him evaporated. The air

Itself bent outward, unable to withstand his

presence. His gaze turned south.

"What.. has happened?" he whispered.

He descended the mountains

And what he saw...

destroyed something inside him.

Villages reduced to bone and ash.

Children hiding inside corpses.

Elves with broken ears and hollow eyes.

Beastkin crawling through forests like hunted

animals.

Parashuram walked among them.

No one recognized him.

But everyone felt him.

A pressure like a sleeping volcano.

His fists trembled.

"How" he muttered, voice cracking

"...did this happen?

Each step sharpened his rage.

Each scream carved deeper into his soul.

And then-

he saw her.

The Demon Who Healed

She stood in the middle of a battlefield.

Corpses everywhere.

Her hands were soaked in blood.

Not from killing.

From healing

Small horns curved gently from her head. Her

skin was pale, almost translucent. Her silver

eyes were tired, yet gentle. She moved from

body to body-human, beastkin, even demon-

closing wounds, restoring breath.

"Please live.." she whispered to a dying child.

A demon soldier laughed.

"Traitor."

He raised his blade

Parashuram moved

The ground exploded.

The demon vanished.

Silence fell.

Parashuram stood between the girl and the

corpse.

Their eyes met

She did not scream.

She did not bow.

She simply asked:

"...Are you hurt?"

And in that moment-

something ancient Inside Parashuram broke.

The rage he had sealed for lifetimes leaked

into the world.

Far away-

Kalantaka shuddered on his throne.

The air screamed.

And for the first time since the vow was

made

fear learned a name.
