Chapter 1 - Chapter 1-Rebirth of pride

Chapter 1 – Rebirth of Pride

Huh…?Where am I?

Waahhh—

The sound tore from my own throat.

That's when I realized it.

Those were my cries.

I raised my vision—blurry, unfocused—and saw a pair of small hands, clenched and trembling. Across from me stood a tall, spiked-haired man with a face twisted in disgust.

"Tch. Filth," he spat. "I can't believe you birthed such a weak-looking son."

His voice was cold. Regal. Heavy with authority.

"Take him to the incubator," he continued, already turning away. "Check his power level."

He left without another glance.

…Spiked hair?Incubator?

My heart slammed.

No way.

Just hours ago, I was in my bed—scrolling through TikTok, drifting off before work the next day. And now—

I looked around.

White metal walls. Strange technology. A woman with blue skin and a server's uniform cradled me tightly as she hurried through a dim corridor.

I twisted my head further.

Rows upon rows of incubators stretched into the darkness, each holding a small child.

Saiyan children.

My breath caught.

This is Dragon Ball Z.

Planet Vegeta.

The world where gods erase planets for amusement. Where power decides worth. Where weakness is a death sentence.

I let out a slow breath.

No… I'm done complaining. I did that enough in my last life.

This time—

I will dominate.

Saiyan pride… I get it now. Vegeta always spoke of it—his birthright, his destiny. And yet no matter how hard he worked, he was always second. Always chasing Kakarot's shadow. Always losing to that cursed plot armor.

Not this time.

This fire burning inside me—it's real. And it's hungry.

"I'll do it," I thought, teeth clenching. "For you, Vegeta… and for myself."

I grinned inwardly.

Watching Kakarot burn while I rise?Yeah. That sounds fun.

Truly fun.

"What timeline is this…?" I wondered.

The woman slowed and stopped.

"Here," she whispered shakily, placing me into a pod filled with green-blue liquid. "Please… make the king proud. Or you'll die too."

Why was she crying?

"Clara!" a voice barked. "How long are you going to take? Tell me his power level—NOW!"

She wiped her tears and shakily lifted a scouter.

Beep.Beep.BEEEEEEP.

"…Four hundred."

Silence.

"FOUR HUNDRED?!" someone screamed. "KING VEGETA WAS FOUR HUNDRED AS A BABY! QUICK—CALL THE KING!"

The pod sealed shut as the liquid surrounded me.

My vision darkened.

PSSSSHHHH.

The pod opened.

Two armored guards stood over me.

"Looks like the prince is ready," one said. "Take him to Training Ground One."

"Yes, sir."

I felt myself lifted.

"Be careful," another voice warned. "If I hear the prince wailing, your pay gets docked for five years."

The guard gulped.

Blue light wrapped around his feet, and we began to levitate.

So this is flight…

We moved slowly across the training grounds—dummies, scorched terrain, battle scars everywhere.

Vegeta's flaw, I thought. He never trained early. He believed himself invincible.

I won't make that mistake.

"I'll surpass Beerus," I vowed. "The Supreme Kai. The Tournament of Power."

This life won't be wasted.

We landed.

The guard set me down and spoke stiffly. "Prince Vegeta. Your father assigned me to teach you ki."

He hesitated, then bowed slightly.

"Stay here."

He returned moments later with a small chair and sat across from me.

"Listen carefully," he said. "Ki is the energy within all living things. First—you will create a ki ball."

…That's it?

I focused inward.

Energy responded instantly.

"Good," he muttered. "Now pull it toward your palm. Shape it."

A massive concentration of power formed effortlessly around my fingers.

The instructor froze.

"…Impossible."

So this is ki.

Now the question—

Should I follow Kakarot's balanced path?Or Vegeta's refined control?

No.

I choose Broly.

Pure strength. Pure physical dominance.

In the early eras, ki ruled everything. But later—speed, skill, and brutality decided battles.

I'll master it all—but my foundation will be raw power.

"Now," the instructor said slowly, "wrap the ki around your body. Expand your aura."

I concentrated.

Inside me was an ocean—vast, endless. I drew from it, and warmth flooded my veins.

A green aura erupted around me, vibrating with power.

I felt unstoppable.

"…At this age…" he whispered.

He finally exhaled. "That's enough for today."

He picked me up carefully.

As my eyes closed, I could still feel the energy humming beneath my skin.

Elsewhere—

A throne room.

"How dare you betray the Saiyan race!" King Vegeta roared.

"P-Please, my king!" a man begged. "I had no choice—I would have died!"

Orange energy formed in the king's palm.

The man slipped.

"DIE!"

GRAAAH!

"Throw the trash into the gutters," King Vegeta ordered. "And double the prince's training."

"Yes, my king."

Silence fell.

King Vegeta clenched his fist.

"Frieza…" he growled. "You dare make fools of us? The strongest race in the universe?"

The throne shattered beneath his grip.

"You will pay."

And with that, the king vanished.
