Even when I want to ask something, no one cares.
Lately, I've been having this terrifying dream every single night. I'll say it loud and clear; this is the worst nightmare I've ever had, and I gotta admit, it's a real problem.
So, I'll just grab the important bits that relate to the current situation.
Maybe it happened about 70 years ago.
A true hikikomori and unemployed 22-year-old dude was playing some old-school game he found hidden in a secret storage vault. It was a super classic RPG about the daily life of a hero who had to defeat the Demon King at all costs to save the world.
The game's name, if I remember right, was something like:
The Holy Hero Who Has Too Many Enemies
Or something along those lines if you translate it loosely. I kinda forgot, honestly.
For a whole month, the guy played it nonstop. Until finally, after struggling hard, he managed to beat the game. I could tell he was getting frustrated that whole month 'cause he kept losing to the final boss over and over.
But right after he figured out the sneaky trick to beat that damn boss, the dude dropped dead in an instant.
The cause? Probably 'cause he hadn't eaten anything for the past week and was only focused on the game. Simple reason; he was way too addicted to that escapist fantasy. That's it.
So, was that a dream? Weird as hell if I say it was my past life.
But whatever. It's all in the past. And I only just realized it now, after all these years in this other world, that I've been living as the Demon King himself: the final boss.
