Chapter 1 - Subway maybe, but I was just at my cardboard

It's been three weeks since I was reincarnated into this new world.

Unfortunately, this wasn't a normal one.

Being reborn into the world of Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint—a manhwa I'd read out of boredom—was never part of my bucket list. And yet, here I was. Alive. Lost. And trapped in one of the cruelest worlds imaginable.

You want to know how I'm so sure?

"Well… that's because I'm currently staring at the main character of this world."

Glancing to my side, I saw a group of people huddled together.

Normally, I would've ignored them.

But I wasn't a normal person anymore.

Kim Dokja. Yoo Sangah. Lee Hyunsung. Lee Gilyoung.

They were in the middle of a quiet conversation, while another person lay asleep beside them.

'If that's not enough evidence, then I don't know what is.'

So, let me introduce myself.

My name—at least for now—is Kim Minjun.

Yeah. Bland. Painfully so. But I'll work with what I've got.

I reincarnated only yesterday. Late to the party, but still early enough to survive… hopefully.

As for how the original owner of this body managed to survive the first scenario—

I genuinely have no idea.

Name: Kim Minjun

Age: 26

Constellation: None

Exclusive Attribute:Office Worker (Common)

Exclusive Skills: Everyday Labor Efficiency (Lv.1) Cooking (Lv.1)

Stats:Stamina: 3 Strength: 4 Agility: 4 Mana: 3

Looking at the status window, I could only sigh in defeat.

'I'm doomed.'

How did this guy even survive the first scenario with stats like these? These weren't skills—they were liabilities.

At best, I was a background character. At worst, a corpse waiting for its cue.

'You'd think I would've gotten a chea—'

My thoughts halted.

A notification appeared.

But unlike the usual system messages, this one was different. Its panel was white, etched with intricate designs—something unfamiliar. Something wrong.

[Hey kiddo, it's me. Your RoB!]

"…You've got to be kidding me."

[Sorry for the late arrival, but here are your so-called cheats!]

[I'm not doing this just for forced plot reasons, so don't complain. Just suck it up.]

[—Signed, RoB]

I stared at the screen, dumbfounded.

[10 minutes until integration.]

"Integration of what?"

The system ignored me.

Seeing the countdown, I quietly left the subway and found a secluded spot. Whatever this 'cheat' was, I didn't want an audience when it activated.

I sat down and waited.

Ten minutes later—

[ Integration of abilities will now be implanted. ]

Without warning, I felt it.

A violent tug of power surged through my veins, spreading across my entire body. It wasn't painful—but it was overwhelming, like something foreign was being forcefully engraved into my existence.

Then the information came.

Knowledge I had never learned flooded my mind.

Ten Shadows Technique.

The name was familiar. Too familiar.

It was an ability from Jujutsu Kaisen, an anime I had once watched.

But why was I receiving this?

I didn't know. Yet in a single millisecond, everything was there—the hand signs, the summoning rituals, the flow of shadows. It was as if I had practiced this technique my entire life.

After a few seconds of sorting through the information, I blinked.

I was back.

I checked my body. Nothing seemed different, which helped me relax a little. But when I looked down at my hands, I felt it—a strange connection, subtle yet undeniable.

Without hesitation, I checked my status.

Name: Kim Minjun

Age: 26

Constellation: None

Exclusive Attributes:Ten Shadows Inheritor (Legendary) Office Worker (Common)

Exclusive Skills: Ten Shadows Technique (Lv. 1) Everyday Labor Efficiency (Lv. 1)

Stats: Stamina: Lv. 5 Strength: Lv. 6 Agility: Lv. 5 Mana: Lv. 8

Staring at the screen, I felt stunned.

Ignoring the fact that all my stats had increased, my attention was completely fixed on the new attribute and skill.

"So… I really got it."

I tugged at my shirt, trying—and failing—to contain my excitement.

Without waiting any longer, I stood up and raised my hands.

Forming the hand sign of a dog, I muttered,

"Divine Dogs."

In an instant, a shadow stirred.

It spilled out from beneath my feet, stretching and twisting until it took shape.

The transformation completed in seconds.

Standing before me were two wolves.

They were massive—at least one and a half times larger than normal dogs. One was white, the other pitch black, each bearing a distinct symbol on their foreheads.

My eyes widened.

"Oh my god, you guys are so cute!"

I lunged forward and buried my hands into their fur. It was soft and smooth, far more than I expected. As if responding to their master, both wolves wagged their tails happily.

[ The Star Stream has recognized a new presence. ]

A new notification appeared, instantly catching my attention.

It had to be because of my newfound ability.

These powers originated from another world—denying that would be pointless.

" You're name will be Dark " I pointed to the black one. " And you....Light! "

Their faces showed satisfaction for gaining a name.

Letting go of the dogs, I began experimenting.

Strength – Powerful enough to tear through most enemies, though not specialized in raw force.

Speed – Extremely fast; excels in agile movement.

Senses / Tracking – Able to detect energy across long distances with near-perfect accuracy.

For now, that was all I could gather.

Overall, the two were incredibly intelligent and powerful—versatile weapons in nearly any situation.

Which was exactly the point of the Ten Shadows Technique.

With its shikigami, most scenarios could be handled efficiently.

…Especially that shikigami.

Mahoraga.

I shuddered.

Even thinking about it gave me goosebumps. Still, it made one thing clear—this was the level I needed to reach.

After saying goodbye, I unsummoned the wolves. Their forms dissolved into shadows and returned to me.

"Anyway, that's done."

I checked the time.

8:20 PM

"If I remember correctly," I muttered, "the riot caused by Cheon Inho and Kim Dokja's group should be over by now."

Stepping out of the bathroom, I immediately felt it—countless stares and whispers aimed toward a single group.

In the corner of the platform stood Kim Dokja and his companions.

Now here's where it gets complicated.

Should I introduce myself… or wait?

Since I was now semi-powerful, why not act like one of those protagonists who only shows up at the perfect moment to aura farm?

Nodding to myself, I grinned.

Unfortunately, that earned me a few unnecessary stares.

Snapping out of my thoughts, I returned to the "house" I had made—if cardboard stacked together as a barrier could even be called that.

Night passed.

Morning came.

Waking up, I immediately stuffed myself with what little food I had left.

I knew what was about to happen.

"Everyone, may I have your attention please?"

A soft, enticing voice echoed across the platform.

A lying fox stood nearby.

"For the meantime, food distribution will be limited. From three biscuits per person—"

Complaints instantly erupted.

I stayed in the back, distancing myself from the chaos as much as possible.

Half an hour later, the air crackled.

"It's a dokkaebi!"

Someone shouted.

[ H-Hello everyone! Have you been doing well? Already dying of boredom? ]

The voice stuttered.

This dokkaebi was different from Bihyung.

[ D-Due to some inconvenience, I-I will be in charge of this scenario. ]

[ Looks like you've been enjoying yourselves a bit too much, haven't you? ]

It snapped its fingers.

[ An additional penalty has been added to the scenario. ]

[ Food may no longer be stockpiled. ]

In an instant, all remaining food vanished before everyone's eyes.

[ N-Now, why don't we let the party start? ]

[ An additional penalty has been added to the scenario. ]

[ The category 'Survival Fee' has been added. ]

[ 100 coins will be withdrawn daily at midnight as a survival fee. ]
