Chapter 1 - HOW TO SAVE A RUINED WORLD

Do you know how to save a ruined world?

Don't answer quickly.

Let the question seep beneath your skin, let your mind wander before saying anything.

Most people pretend they do. They throw around words like 'hope' and 'faith' and 'rebuild'. They imagine heroes and chosen ones and miracles that show up right on time.

I, like them, used to think the same.

I can't really tell when everything began. Maybe it was the day that someone taught me what it meant to hold onto hope… or the day I met her. No. If I'm being honest, it started long before any of that. Much, much earlier.

Back then, I was the kind of person who believed every problem had a solution. Stubbornly believing every disaster had a fix if you just searched hard enough. But when everything around you collapses at once, you learn fast that sometimes there's no hope left.

When I finally stood in the middle of that mess, something became very clear:

There's no restoring what never had a stable foundation to begin with.

Eventually, I stopped asking how to fix things. The real question became something else entirely; Is this world worth saving?

That's when the answer showed itself: You can't rescue a world that's already dead. It's impossible.

So how do you save a ruined world?

It's simple. You stop pretending it can be saved.

I know none of this makes sense. These words hold no meaning to you. But I hope that one day, like me, you'll realize the bitter truth. The truth that'll change everything.

The truth this story begins with.

To save a ruined world…

To protect the ones who remained…

you bring it to its end.
