The night sky in America was electric with neon vibrant colors around its cities, giving a nice hue over its wake.
This night was the night when the blood moon would manifest, which was a celebration night to many, including the mayor himself, who made a very delightful and rather fancy party event even by nobles' standards. The voices of chatter and laughs filled the massive Haventide mansion.
nobles and their wives from all around the world had come after receiving mayor Haventide s invitation were chatting and laughing with mayor Haventide and his wife, exchanging pleasantries.
"It is our honor mayor Haventide to come, we are having a very delightful time" one of the middle-aged men said.
"You are welcome, it is our honor you are all enjoying our humble home, make yourselves home" Chuckled Mayor Haventide who both he and his wife were at their sixties yet held on their nobility and an essence of their youth.
"Now then, let enjoy some fine wine then" another said as everyone agreed and thus, they took each of their clean and noble looking glasses, which were filled with crimson wine.
"Let enjoy this night gentlemen!" said the mayor lifting his cup just above his head in height before the nobles lifted their own wine glasses mirroring him as they started sipping their glasses, exchanging words around politics, money and themselves.
"How is your daughter? I've heard she has been engaged with a fine gentleman from the Tokyo industry." said one of the gentlemen to another.
"Indeed, Alice has grown into a fine lady now, and we've decided that she should be engaged, we've already had good relationship with Muya industries, but engaging Alice to the fine next CEO of Muya industries would make our bond stronger and internship complete." answered the other man.
"Now I thought about it, where is your daughter? Mayor Haventide." Asked the gentleman.
"Oh, yes, the young lady has been doing good, she is in her dorm, we've planned to engage her to a fine noble man, but at her age, she reacted badly not realizing its essentiality." Said Mayor Haventide.
Meanwhile inside one of the halls of the Haventide mansion.

"AHH!" A loud ear-piercing scream came out from one of the rooms.
"Lady Elizabeth! Are you okay!" the guards who heard the scream immediately rushed towards the source of the scream, that just happened to be the room of the young lady they were assigned to watch over by the Mayor himself.
"Young lady! We are coming in!" warned one of them before bursting the door open with force.
"The hell?" muttered one of them as the room was pitch black, the guard pressed the light switch button but it didn't work, as the lights were broken.
"Use the flashlight!" one of them urged.
"Oh, right!" the other guard snapped from his daze and pulled his flashlight turning it on, and instantly the light shone through the room where it pointed lighting up a direction.
"Lady Elizabeth, are you okay? Where are you?" the guards shouted as they searched the big room.
As they searched, one of they suddenly stopped his face disorienting to pure horror and shock look at a dark direction, as the others followed his gaze, they instantly shared the same horrified look.
"Lady Elizabeth!!" one of the guards immediately kneeled and lifted the thing on the ground, which was a young woman, she seemed at her twenties, her golden blond hair was long reaching her back, but reddened by their ends from blood, her own.
"Call the Doctors!!" yelled one of them as he started checking her pulse but he pulled back his hand and his already ugly face from horror got uglier as he noticed the deep vertical cut along her throat where blood was still gushing out from it, adding gasoline to the fire.
"Oh god, this is bad!" muttered the guard as he attempted stopping the blood from spilling, but unfortunately it didn't help much, as the lady wasn't breathing or showing any signs of waking up, and even when he checked her pulse, there was no signs of her being alive.
"Get away! The doctor has come!" one of them rushed in with a handsome middle-aged man with him wearing a white doctor cloak with a suitcase with medical tools.
The handsome doctor kneeled towards the young lady getting ready to help her, but as soon as he found the slit in her throat and found checked her pulse, he shook his head.
"It is too late now, the lady lungs must have already been drowned in her own blood, her heart has stopped a bit too late to shock" he said with regret.
"Doctor, at least try something" The guards urged in their panic.
"Believe me, if there was the slightest chance I could save the lady, I would have tried" He said Shaking his head regrettably "Regrettably the cut is too deep into her throat, inform mister Haventide, and call the police immediately." The doctor said.
And so on, one of the guards rushed to the massive banquet hall where the Haventide couple and their guests were celebrating the blood moon.
"Mister Haventide!" The guard yelled.
The mayor who was enjoying his time was interrupted thus his face turned to that of annoyance and displeasure as he spoke coldly.
"What is it? You better have a good reason to interrupt me or else you will be fired!"
"M… Mister Haventide, Y… Young lady Elizbeth have been attacked!" The guard said nervously.
"WHAT??!" Mayor Haventide and his wife both stood instantly, their eyes widened with shock, their faces paled, both of them seemed to have aged a few years instantly.
"Y… Young lady Elizabeth was attacked… and she is in a fatal condition! We've called the doctor to check on her, and the police are in their way!" The guard obviously knew the young lady s condition, but how could he muster the courage to say it?
"Take us there now!!" the mayor yelled.
The guard then led the two to the room where the room where the lady laid, surprisingly the police seemed to have already came and surrounded the area with a police officers already covered the room, with officers investigating the room, that was natural, after all the Mayor had a great relationship with police stations and FBI thanks to his donations and position, thus they were quickest to react after hearing what happened from a call, they instantly reacted.
"Where is my daughter?!" Asked mayor Haventide.
"The young lady has been attacked and got a severe injury, unfortunately, we couldn't save her" said the doctor, his voice heavy from regret.
"WHAT!!?" The mayor yelled in shock, his eyes bulging and his voice cracking, but he wasn't the only one, his wife was shocked beyond speaking.
"We are sorry, we couldn't do much, she had a deep cut in her throat, it seem like someone assassinated her, we've asked around but the guards all said that they were tightly guarding the halls and outside the room and only heard her scream suddenly a few minutes ago, when they came here, they found her alone laid with a deep cut in her throat, the police are checking the cameras yet they didn't see any clues yet, it seemed as if whoever behind this suddenly appeared from thin air, attacked the young lady, and instantly disappeared the same way he came" Said the doctor pointing at the humanoid figure drawn by chalk in the ground where young lady Elizabeth was found.
