"Well… to be honest the child that you pushed out of the way was supposed to be hit by the falling billboard…" he said
with a somewhat embarrassed tone.
"Ok… Huh… I don't even know how to react to that. I'm supposed to be freaking out about being here and all, right?"
"Right- Sorry… This place does that to the emotions of mortals, it's mostly to keep them centered through the process."
The next second it was as if something had shifted in me and the empty feeling I didn't even realize was there was filled up once again.
"Hold on… did you just say a child was supposed to die there? Are you serious?!"
"Hmm." The being nodded. "It's not pretty, but some things are supposed to happen."
"However," The being said before I could say a thing. "due to free will making interference possible, you were able to save the child. This, in turn, opened up a future where that child grew to solve one of the worlds future 'problems' and save a lot of lives, in a way…"
"Ok." I replied, still mildly freaking out. "So what's next?
"To be honest that depends on you. You have either going to the afterlife or the cycle of reincarnation."
"Reincarnation is a choice?"
"Yes, due to you being a rather good person back when you were alive you have the option to reincarnate in a random world, and due to you saving the life of a person that would in turn save the world in the new future, well, you have enough
accumulated karma to spin a 'wheel of fortune', for lack of a better plot device, which will determinate the amount of wishes you can make." He said, breaking a fourth wall somewhere in the multiverse.
"Plot device… Damn… I thought that only happened in fanfiction."
"So, kid… Are you ready?" he said, ignoring me completely.
"Sure," I 'shrugged' as best as I could with no shoulders. "Let's get this over with."
As soon as I said this I was transported to a white room where the only thing was a big ass roulette with the inscription 'Nudge it to spin it'.
I'm not even going to ask why it said that because as soon as I did, it began to spin and accelerate until I couldn't even see the options it had. It was about a minute later that the wheel slowed down and stopped at '4 wishes' (After scaring me with almost stopping at '0 wishes').
"4 wishes," The being said, appearing behind me. "That's quite good, not the best but good. I'll tell you what, I'll throw you a freebie, I won't make you go through your early years, the memories of your previous life will come back gradually until you are 18," He paused.
"Since it is still you and your memories will be coming back gradually, your personality will develop the same, so no clashing personality shenanigans, and depending on what you wished for then I'll set it so you either have it from birth or gain it on your 18th birthday."
"Aright… thanks, I guess."
"Get to wishing then kid."
"Ok…" I started to think about my options and got my inspiration in those gacha-type fanfics that made me pull my hair out with stupidly overpowered items that came out of nowhere and an oversaturation with fucking Naruto stuff.
That never made sense to me, why would it be that you can get something like the Excalibur from FATE with a common gacha token instead of a legendary one or something like that when the drop rate of said common token is basically trash+? And on your first try at that? I mean… I get it… The newbie package should always be a thing but that kind of reward from that kind of token does not make sense.
And the Naruto stuff? Way too many eye bullshit for my taste.

"Go ahead." He said with a mischievous glint in his eyes that I missed.
"For the werewolf side I'd like to have a partial transformation like in the teen wolf universe; to be a 'True Alpha' and to make it so I can choose to give the 'Bite' to others. The second part is to have a massive Full-wolf shift like the Quileute from the 'Twilight' universe."
"Ha! Granted." He said, clearly amused. "Next?"
"For the vampire side I want to upgrade it to an Original Vampire and to further upgrade the mind powers to those of an Immortal, also, to remove the 'invitation only' weakness from the species because it does not make any sense."
"Agreed, that weakness does not make any sense, and as a bonus I'll give you the 'Weather Manipulation' that was cut from the vampire diaries TV series and I'll make it impossible
for you to truly turn off your humanity switch. Now, the witch side?"
"The ability to do my spell casting completely silent, knowledge of all spells in the TVD universe, the ability to create my own spells, and the capacity to learn other kinds of magic."
"Granted, the knowledge you shall get on your 18th birthday if you have not learned it by then. Though you will have to somehow travel to other universes to acquire other magics or get other kinds of magic through other means."
"Oh! Right, I also want full control over every aspect of being a Tribrid."
"I already assumed so but granted. Anything else or can we move onto the next wish?"
"Wish number two is that the only thing that can actually kill me is a weapon fashioned out of a Red Oak tree grown with my blood, to be the only one with that knowledge, and to have it so the only weapon currently like that is in a pocket dimension that only I can access."
"Granted, the pocket dimension will disappear once you remove the weapon, which shall be an indestructible Mithril Spear with a handle made of a mix between Mountain Ash and Red Oak, the whole spear has been infused with the ashes of a Red Oak grown with your blood."
"Bit overkill with that weapon but ok…"

"Third wish is to have a custom made Gacha System."

"Shit… My memories are back but fuck me, having your neck broken by a spell makes it hurt like a bitch. That bastard said the memories coming back would be gradual, not all at once." She paused for a second before reducing the pain with a spell done on instinct. "Wait… How am I even speaking English?"

Next morning.
The next morning Hope woke up feeling like herself.
'Ok... waking up with a headache is not fun.' She woke up with the mother of the headaches of the day but like herself...
"Did I really get a stupid purple dildo from the gacha?? I guess I know what I'm selling first..." What followed next was hope learning how to use the store, selling the purple dildo for $13, and getting herself a bag of strawberry Twizzlers for $1.99.
"Now what?" Hope asked herself, facing a problem that every transmigrator faced at some point... Not having a plotline to follow and being as lost as anyone else is in life. And even more problematic? Being in the past meant she didn't even
know what world she was in.
A few moments later she sighed and went outside, maybe touching some grass would give her some ideas...
"Hope?" a female voice asked, pulling Hope from her funk.
"Yes, aunt Freya?" she answered.
"What's going on in that mind of yours little wolf?"
"I'm not sure what I want to do now that I'm a full tribrid..."
Hope answered honestly. "I just- I feel that I'm supposed to do something else that I'm not sure I can do here. You know what I mean?"
"No little wolf..." Freya laughed. "Unfortunately, I do not.
But... Your father did say at one point that he was bored with the lands we inhabit and chose to travel for a century or two... Maybe... Maybe that's what you're feeling now..." she continued with a wistful smile.
Hope considered this and realized that it was the perfect thing to do as a reincarnation/transmigration as she was. It would give her the freedom to do what she wanted without lying to anyone.
"Go talk to your mother and father little wolf. If you want to do this then they should be the ones to actually talk to."
"Thanks Aunt Freya..." Hope finished before running with her vampiric speed towards her home.
What followed was one of the hardest conversations Hope could ever have in her short 19 years of life. But even though there were tears, Hope new that it would be temporary...
