Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

The first thing I felt was darkness.

"Am I dead ?" I asked myself as I drifted remembered the scenes before my demise.

It was a literal act of betrayal. The disciple I once cherished and raised as one of my own, betrayed me for the Immemorial 9 Heaven Immortal Emperor inheritance.

Not only did he poison me with Dying Heart, a poison capable of killing an Immortal, but he also collaborated with 5 other Immortal Emperors to besiege my palace.

"Fang Zhen, my favorite disciple, this enmity between you and me will exist as long as heaven and earth. I will definitely kill you tens and thousands of times, torturing your flesh and soul for an eternity". That was my last sentence before my body got blasted to nihility.

My eyelashes trembled as I slowly opened my eyes .A thin layer of winter sunlight filtered through the paper windows, painting the room in a gentle white glow.

I lay there, silent for a few moments.

This wasn't the Heavenly Palace...

Where was...

Realization hit me. "Did I get reincarnated ?"

"HAHAHAHAHA, Even heaven haven't abandoned me" I laughed maniacally.

Another realization hit me, "My voice ? Why is it so soft ?"

I sucked in a sharp breath, my eyes wandering to inspect my body.

It was a child- no, a girl's frame.

I looked down instinctively and almost choked myself to death. The Great Desolation Immortal Emperor got reincarnated into a little girl. I f this news spread, the whole heavenly realm would laugh at me.

This turn of fate... not only did my age regressed even my gender was reversed.

"What kind of cosmic joke is this…" My sweet voice came out once again.

I turned my head to the side, looking at my reflection on the mirror.

On the back of my head, slipped over my shoulder, pale silver hair drapped lower than my shoulder. A pair of yellow eyes like stars stared back at me.

I blinked. Looking at my own flabbergasted appearance on the mirror, I pinched my rosy soft cheek, making it a bit red. I think there was just one word to describe my current appearance.

"A porcelain doll."

"Oh heavens, what kind of twisted humor you have you done." I questioned.

Of course no answer came, The heavens have always stayed silence, especially after I destroyed their heavenly gate out of sheer annoyance, but that was beside the point.

I sat up slowly, letting the memories of this new life surface. They trickled in like a slow stream into my mind.

This body belonged to Yin Sha, daughter of a minor branch family within the great Yin Clan. Yin Sha's parents had died early, leaving her raised by the clan. She has always been quiet and obedient, surviving with a maid and some savings from her parents.

And, judging from my cold body temperature, I seem to have cold-yin meridians, almost incapable of cultivation.

I sighed softly.

"Yin Sha, Yin Sha… since I've taken over your body, I'll keep your name. But from today onward, this body is mine"

I placed my tiny palm over my chest, feeling for the presence of qi. After a few moments, a flicker of cold energy flows out of my body.

"Barely at the first level of Body Tempering realm."

My eye twitched.

There were 10 realms of cultivation. Starting from Body Tempering, Spirit Gathering, Spirit Wandering, Essence Transformation, Origin Sea, Profound Gate, Divine Soul, Law Manifestation, Body Integration, and Ascending Heaven realm.

Calm down. You're seven. It's fine.

I lay back down, staring at the ceiling.

That's when a knock sounded from the door.

"Young Miss, are you awake ?" a soft female voice called from outside.

I blinked. "Yes… come in."

The sliding door opened, revealing a young teenage maid in blue robes. She looked like a obedient maid with a cheerful aura.

The maid bowed.

"Young Miss, the Elders request your presence in the Grand Hall."

She smiled but the slight nervousness between in her voice can't be hidden.

My brows lifted.

Elders ? In Yin Sha's memory, there were 6 elders within the Cloud Ridge Yin Family who have reached the Profound Gate realm. Because the Ancestor don't normally appear in public, all the internal and external matters of the clan were controlled by these elders.

"Why would those oldmans want to see a seven year old child ?" This question appeared in her mind.

"…Did they say why?" I asked calmly.

The maid shook her head. "I was only instructed to escort you immediately, Young Miss."

"Hmph"

My past self would have snorted and blown up the hall to demand answers. My current frail body forced me into a more patient approach.

"Very well," I said, slipping off the bed. My small feet touched the cold wooden floor, and I wobbled slightly before regaining balance. Ugh, this body can't even walk properly.

The maid hurried to help, holding before me a thick cloak.

"Young Miss, it's cold outside."

I accepted it and let her wrap it around my shoulders. "Thank you."

Her eyes widened slightly. She clearly didn't expect warmth or gratitude from me.

I almost chuckled. Little Sha must have been a cold little thing.

We walked through the courtyard, winter wind brushing against my cheeks. The Yin Clan estate was build within a jade bamboo forest. These green jade bamboos can be sold as a rank 1 material for talisman paper or processed as spiritual wine, which become one of the Yin Family main source of income.

"How nostalgic…" I murmured. "It's been a while since I saw a bamboo forest."

The maid looked startled. "Young Miss ?"

"Nothing..."

We traveled in silence until we reached the giant archway leading to the Grand Hall. I felt a few powerful presences inside, some even reaching the peak of Profound Gate realm. For a mortal world cultivation clan, that was quite impressive.

The maid stopped and bowed. "Young Miss, I can't come inside the grand hall. Please enter alone."

"Alright."

I stepped through the towering doors.

Inside, the Grand Hall was vast and solemn. Decorative jade lanterns glowed softly along the walls. Frost lotus carvings adorned pillars. A long carpet stretched forward, ending before a row of high seats where six sat, their robes shimmering under the light.

At once, 6 pairs of eyes turned toward me. Their gaze was inspecting and probing, like they could see every secret within me.

A normal seven-year-old would have trembled under such pressure.

But me ? I simply lifted my chin.

I had faced heavenly tribulation storms and survived. Ants at the Profound Gate realm ? Please, I had slaughtered millions of them.

I walked calmly to the center of the hall and bowed politely.

"Yin Sha greets the honored Elders."

A murmur ran through the hall. One elder stroked his long white beard thoughtfully. Another squinted at me. Their expressions ranged from shock to astonishment.

The strongest aura among them, a tall elder with white hair, which was sitting on the center spoke first.

"Child… raise your head."

I did.

He narrowed his eyes, scrutinizing me closely.

"So the prophecy was true…"

Prophecy?

Another elder leaned forward eagerly.

"Yin Sha, place your hand upon the crystal."

A crystalline pedestal floated beside them, shimmering with ancient cold energy.

Ah, so that's what this was about.

"Physique-testing crystal. A magic item used solely to test ones special constitution."

I walked to the glowing pedestal. My tiny hand reached out and rested upon the smooth, icy surface.

The hall fell silent.

The crystal exploded with brilliant silver light.

A shockwave of cold qi exploded outward. The lantern flames flickered violently. Frost spread across the floor.

The crystal shone brighter until the entire hall was drenched in blinding blue radiance.

The elders sprang to their feet.

"A-A Heaven-grade Frost Yin Body ?!" One of the elders suddenly spoke.

"No... this was much more intense ! This resonance..." Another elder spoke

"The legendary Primal Frost Sacred Constitution !" Said by the leading elder from before.

The shock faded. The crystal dimmed. The hall trembled with excitement.

The leading elder's voice shook as he grab me in both shoulders.

"child… from this day forth, you shall be the Yin Clan's Saintess"

Saintess.

A role usually given to a prodigy chosen to lead the clan's future, representing unmatched talent.

I blinked.

"Saintess ?" I repeated softly.

The elder slammed his fist to his chest respectfully. "Yes. From this moment, all resources of the clan shall be open to you. You will receive the greatest elders as teachers, have access to the ancestral grounds, and be treated as the clan's future pillar."

I stared.

In my old life, people knelt before me constantly. Kings, immortals, ancient beasts, celestial generals. Entire armies bowed with a single word from me.

Yet somehow…

Watching six old men fauning over a 7 years old girl felt… surreal.

Amusing.

"This is… quite sudden," I said honestly.

The leading elder lifted his head, excitement burning in his eyes.

"Your awakening left us no choice. Your talent is beyond anything our clan has seen for centuries. The heavens themselves have chosen you. You will bring certainly glory to the Yin Clan."

I swallowed, lifting my small chin.

"I accept the title."

The elders exhaled simultaneously in relief.

The leading elder smiled, a rare warmth flickering in his icy eyes.

"Good. Then let us begin."

He clapped his hands.

The hall doors burst open, and attendants entered carrying trays, scrolls, artifacts, and shimmering jade bottles.

The offerings continued. And continued. And continued.

My eye twitched.

The pile of resources in front of me now stood taller than my small body.

One elder stepped forward proudly.

"These are your initial cultivation resources for the month."

Low-tier spirit stones, wood spirit essence, body tempering pills. These were all junks I won't even look at in my past life. However, these were quite usefull for me right now.

"I shall accept these, thank you Elders."

One of the elder approached me, "Here is the Yin Clan's best cultivation technique, Burning Yin Mantra. This technique came from the Three Emperors Era and can be cultivated to the Body Integration realm."

I skimmed the technique with my spiritual sense. It was good. Not as good as what I had used in my past life, but still excellent for a mortal world.

I nodded approvingly.

The elders, misinterpreting my calmness as confidence in mastering the technique, showed some astonishment.

"This child is extraordinary!"

"Such composure at her age, worthy of the title!"

"Saintess, truly heaven-sent!"

I resisted the urge to rub my temples.

They were too into me. This would become troublesome.

The leading elder stepped forward again.

"Saintess Yin Sha, from this day on, you shall reside in the Sacred Lotus Pavilion, secluded from disturbance. A team of personal maids and protectors will be assigned to you. You will begin cultivation lessons tomorrow."

His voice softened. "Do you have any questions?"

I thought for a moment.

"…Can I get food first?"

The elders blinked.

Then burst into laughter.

"Hahaha! Of course!"

"She's still a child after all!"

"A genius must eat well!"

I tried to maintain dignity while my stomach growled loudly enough for even the maids outside to hear.

The leading elder clapped again.

"Prepare a feast for the Saintess!"

Attendants rushed out. Others brought warm cloaks and guided me out of the hall.

As I walked, the title echoed in my mind.

Yin Sha, Saintess of the Yin Clan.

I looked up at the pale winter sky, inhaling deeply.

This world was unfamiliar, weaker, filled with mortals and low-level cultivators—yet everything felt strangely… refreshing.

A blank canvas.

A second chance.

A soft smile tugged at my lips.

"In this life," I whispered, "I won't repeat the mistakes of the last."

But first...

My stomach growled again.

"Yes… food first," I muttered.

Behind me, I heard muffled laughter from several elders who were still peeking around the hall entrance.

My cheeks warmed slightly.

This life was going to be… interesting.

Very interesting…
