Synopsis
#SINGLE-FEMALE LEAD #Overpowered #Growth #Magic #High-Fantasy #NO HAREM #BETRAYAL #Mystery #Tragedy Zylus's life had been nothing short of a nightmare since his childhood. He was constantly bullied at school, detested and ignored by almost everyone except for his loving family. But his family's death cut those dreams short. The accumulated loneliness and suffering from this event pushed him into a severe depression, and he ultimately decided to take his life’s final decision… Revenge. This is a story about revenge and growth. The main character is smart, he has development, and will do anything to reach his goal. There is almost 0 filler; if there is filler, it's important towards the story, so no chapters you'll pay for will go to waste. I'll add the filler once the novel is finished, as side chapters. I can also 100% reassure you I'll be finishing this novel, so don't worry, I won't drop. Htrae is split within 3 realms, and the power system is very easy to understand. If you have any issues, please don't feel afraid to join the Discord. I'm new, so I'm not the most experienced, so if there are any flaws, let me know. Chapter 1 - [User Compatibility???]

Zylus hated it; he hated it all.

He lost his family in one snowy nightfall, the moon came out as bright as the stars from above, while the wind brushed his face as Zylus stood by his family's graves.

He held the same darkened and calm expression as he always has, to conceal his true feelings, the ones of despair and anguish.

...

One of revenge.

Zylus knew who had done the unthinkable to his family, yet he never tried to get revenge for some reason.

'I'm better than this,' Zylus thought, crouching down to place red roses onto his mother's grave, then moving on to his dad's. 'I feel it.'

It was the Spirits. The Spirits had done it; those were the individuals who massacred Zylus's father, his sister, and his mother, in one night, in less than an hour.

He was left alive, on purpose, to rot in pain while knowing he would never have the ability to kill them.

Htrae, the world, is inhabited within three realms. The Spirits Realm, The Demon Realm, and the one Zylus was currently watching his life flow away on, The Human Realm.

Ever since that event one month ago, he has never been the same. Zylus was now sixteen, and hated his very own self more than the ones who killed them.

The only way of truly making his family happy was by tossing away the Spirit Realm itself, so that others never feel that pain. Spirits prey on human souls, on joyous human souls, which so happened to be in equivalence with his very own family.

"Damn them," Zylus whispered, rage began to boil as he stepped onto his older sister's grave, "Damn them all!"

He wasn't just cussing out the Spirits, but also the Gods above.

The so-called 'Gods' were given their very own realm, which was the 'Gods' who are supposedly watching over them, protecting them, spreading energy and hope to Htrae.

That was all nothing but a lie; every piece of knowledge Zylus learned as a kid, from schools, from sports, from The Human Realm itself, was all but a lie to compensate for their lack of power.

"We lack power," Zylus whispered, as a sudden Katana began forming in his right hand, "But I'll gain it."

With that much conviction, holographic screens began forming around him with purple and blue edges, filled with a navy blue inside. White text in between them started to appear around Zylus, but he paid them no heed.

In the current moment, he was only focused on one thing. Killing the Spirits that he now looked down upon with complete and utter rage, or more specifically, the ones he was gonna kill.

The Katana he gripped beside him felt old, like they had met somewhere. The long, black, curved toy felt all too real, with a darkened aura that flowed around it.

Zylus backed away from his sister's grave, upon seeing particles form beside him.

'What's this? I feel like I'm in a video game.'

"Good choice, kid-"

Someone else appeared beside him, Medrus Miro was his name.

"I'm not doing this for you." Zylus cut Medrus short, "But them."

He didn't pay too much heed to the man dressed in red velvet noble attire, with beautiful white hair and red sparkling eyes. He didn't care much.

"Who are you anyway?" Zylus swung his katana in the air, getting a feel for it, "I'll kill you where you stand if you don't say."

He pointed it directly at the neck of Medrus, as Medrus grinned.

"I'm a Demon named Medrus, and you are a Demon too." He smiled gently.

Medrus clearly tried showing off his white, clean teeth.

Zylus chuckled, then nodded in acceptance.

"That's it?" Medrus wondered awkwardly, "No yelling 'I'm not.' No, wanting to kill me? No, NO?"

Zylus looked straight at him, "I'm seeing 'Demonic Weapon System' right in front of me, I'm not dull enough to not know what that means..."

But it wasn't just that; his system displayed something else that took his attention away.

[Medrus Miro Encountered...]

[The Demon King]

Medrus grinned, "Ah, your Demonic Weapon system," he walked closer towards Zylus, "That's what you'll use to improve yourself."

He stabbed the sword, which Medrus declared was demonic, right into the ground. Zylus seemed knowledgeable about how to use it.

This was because, as a kid, he joined the kendo club, which helped him improve in all sorts of aspects related to this.

"I want to kill Spirits, I want to hunt them, I want to annihilate them, I want to watch the kids watch me kill their families." Zylus declared, carrying the Demonic Weapon on his shoulder.

"That much anger in a little kid… how depressing." Medrus declared, as he took out a lighter, with a blunt beside it.

He slowly began to flick his lighter beside the blunt on his right hand, expecting it to turn on in this snowy hazard.

"Don't fret," Medrus put a hand in front of Zylus, "I've dealt with most of them. Now, let's get going…"

"And just… who are you, exactly?" Zylus asked, breathless.

"I'm-"

As Medrus paused, the little boy who had lost his entire family in one snowy nightfall began to fade, tired, depressed, and filled with agony. I mean, who could blame him? Even with a boy like himself, who had been through thick and thin, couldn't hide the level of frustration, the level of hatred, and tiredness he felt, beneath that cascade Zylus put on.

"If I took him to the demon realm, that shouldn't pose a threat."

Medrus captured Zylus with his left arm just as he was about to fall on the cold snow.

"Transcend: The Realm of The Demonic."
