Chapter 1: The Hidden Fire of the Hyuga

The sun peeked over Konoha, painting the village in soft gold. In a small room in the Hyuga Clan's branch family area, a boy stood in front of a cracked mirror. His fingers brushed a strange mark on his forehead—the caged bird seal. His face was pale, too thin, like he hadn't eaten well in ages. But his eyes, those bright white eyes of the Hyuga, stood out sharp and clear.

Arata, just eight years old, whispered to himself, his voice shaky. "This is me? I'm… in Naruto's world? And I'm a Hyuga?" His head spun as bits of memories rushed in, piecing together a life he didn't know. He was Hyuga Arata, a branch family kid, his parents gone, killed on a mission. It was the time of the Second Great Ninja War, year 31 in Konoha. It felt heavy, like a dream he couldn't wake from.

Arata's eyes caught a pair of old glasses on the wooden table. He froze. "Glasses? For a Hyuga?" It sounded crazy. The Hyuga were famous for their Byakugan, eyes that could see everything. But when he put the glasses on, the blurry world snapped into focus. Without them, anything past a meter was a fuzzy mess. His mom got hurt bad when he was born, and it left him with bad eyes—something no Hyuga ever had.

He balled his fists, staring at his reflection. "Doesn't matter," he said softly. "If I can wake my Byakugan, it'll fix this. It's gotta." It was a small hope, but he clung to it.

A loud bang broke his thoughts as the door got kicked open. Three boys his age stormed in, their white eyes cold and mean. The leader, a kid with a smug grin, spoke first. "Arata, you're not taking the Ninja Academy exam. Got it? You're too weak."

The words hit like a slap. Arata's temper flared. "Who are you to tell me what to do?" he snapped back.

The lead boy, Hyuga Mori, blinked, shocked Arata even answered. Then his face twisted. "You dare talk back? Get him!"

The other two boys smirked and stepped closer, their eyes glinting with trouble. Arata's heart raced. He wasn't strong, but he wasn't going to just stand there. He threw a punch at the closest one, fast and hard.

The boy laughed. "Soft Fist!" he shouted, slapping Arata's arm away with a quick move. The hit stung, knocking Arata back.

"Pathetic!" Mori spat. "You're just a branch kid. Stay in your place."

"Yeah," another sneered. "You'll just embarrass the Hyuga if you go out there."

"Stay home, loser," the third added, laughing.

Mori leaned in, his voice cold. "I'm warning you, Arata. Don't take the exam. A half-blind weakling like you will only shame us." With that, he turned and left, the others following, their laughter echoing.

Arata's hands shook with anger. "Hyuga Mori," he growled, remembering the name. Mori was the elder's son, a so-called genius of the clan. Today's humiliation burned deep, but Arata wasn't the old, timid kid anymore. He was different now, reborn with a fire to prove them wrong. "I'll take that exam," he vowed. "And I'll pass it."

His eyes stung suddenly, sharp and hot. He stumbled to the mirror and gasped. His Byakugan had awakened! The veins around his eyes bulged, but something was off. He could only see about ten meters around him—nothing like the far-reaching sight the Hyuga were known for. Walls didn't vanish, and there was no 360-degree view. Just a small, clear circle around him.

At first, Arata thought it was because his Byakugan was new. But his memories told him the truth: his bad eyes made his Byakugan weak. It could only match normal eyesight, maybe a bit better. And worse, his body was too frail to use chakra. The clan kids mocked him for it, calling him the "crane's tail," the weakest of the Hyuga. Even the Uchiha laughed at him.

Arata gritted his teeth. "I won't give up," he said, voice rising. "I'll take the exam and get into Class A. I'll show them all."

Konoha's Ninja Academy split students into three classes: A, B, and C. Class A was for the best—kids from big clans or super talented ones. Class B was for most clan kids. Class C was for regular kids with no training. Arata's weak body didn't even qualify for Class C, but he didn't care. He'd make it.

As he turned away from the mirror, something strange happened. His Byakugan shifted, and suddenly, he saw inside himself—his bones, his veins, his blood, clear as day, like an X-ray. He froze. "What… is this?"

The Hyuga could see chakra points in others, but seeing his own body like this? It was new. And it was sharp, like looking through a magnifying glass. He noticed something else—some of his veins were blocked, stopping his blood and chakra from flowing right. That's why he was so weak.

Arata's mind raced. "Maybe… maybe my bad eyes changed my Byakugan." He focused, and to his shock, his blood started moving where he wanted, pushing at the blocked veins. A tiny gap opened in one of them. His heart pounded. "Can I control my body with this?"

He tried again, focusing on the chakra in his body. It was faint, but it was there. Slowly, he guided it around the blocked veins, through wider paths. It worked! A spark of chakra flowed out, and he punched the air. Boom! A small dent appeared in the wall.

"I did it!" Arata shouted, his voice breaking with joy. "I made chakra!" For the first time, he felt alive, like he could fight back. The exam was coming, and he'd show Mori and everyone else what Hyuga Arata could do.
