Chapter 1 - The Prologue - Introduction

It was raining in the city of Los Santos, many were carrying umbrellas as they mind their own businesses as they walked in the buzzing street. Among the crowds on the busy street, a young man walking among the crowds, holding his smartphone as he walks. He was looking on a social media while scrolling down for more posts.

The young man sighed, "How long will they keep up before the deadline?" He muttered while thinking about his colleagues when they will finish their project before the deadline. After all, the company where he worked is very strict, but the salary is high. However, if the project cannot be submitted on time they'll get fired, and getting a job in this city is almost impossible.

"All stations are now in maintenance, all train stations will be unavailable for a approximately 4 hours and 30 minutes. Thank you for your understanding." A public speaker announced, echoing throughout the city, and many people began mutter in disbelief to wondering why all train stations began maintenance at the exact time for people to use to head back to their homes.

"Again?" The young man spoke in disbelief, "This is the tenth time they've done maintenance for days straight! I'll have to wait again..." He sighed and continued walking on the street.

As he walks on the street, he notices a cafe shop is still open on the other side of the road, it is almost midnight but taking a break and drinking a chocolate coffee won't be bad. "Alright then..." he began to walk towards where the pedestrian crossing is, and waited for the light to turn green.

Suddenly the young man heard a faint voice, "Huh!?" he looked around him, only to see a few people around him who were also waiting to walk in the pedestrian crossing.

I think I'm just hearingthings, he thought and just looked at his smartphones, ignoring his surroundings. As soon as the street light turned green, everyone began to walk on the pedestrian crossing while the young man followed along. Suddenly, a police siren can be heard getting louder and louder, the people who were crossing looked at where the police siren can be heard, a red mustang car was being chased by a police car. Everyone was shocked and began to run away before they got hit. But not the young man, he was to late to notice of what was happening.

"Huh? Why is everyone running-" before he could finish, he was hit by the red mustang and flew a few meters away, landed on the ground and covered in blood. The red mustang ran away but the police car stop and two officers came out and run towards the young man.

"Call the ambulance!" He could hear them, but his eyes began to get blurry, "He's losing too much blood!" The young man almost couldn't breathe, his eyes were about to close, "Stay with me, Dante! Hey, don't close your eyes!"

He heard a familiar voice who called him by his name, "Is... is that y-y-you..." he couldn't see his friend's face, but he could hear him clearly.

"Just hold on tight! We'll get you to the hospital!"

The young man, Dante, couldn't feel the pain after losing too much blood, but he felt very dizzy and he could tell he was about to go unconscious. Then he heard another voice.

Before he could say a thing, he died.
