Synopsis
(Fairy Tail X Type-Moon Cu Chulain SI) When one is thrust into a new world, you don't really know what to expect. Is it going to be a hellscape with the only way out being death, a reality based on a cartoon show with lessons being taught almost every day, or having an annoying protagonist you can't stand the sight of? Well, this is neither of those, as this is the world of Fairy Tail, a world of magic, whimsy, and wonder where magic is wielded by everyone, with some having such mastery over it that they have become known far and wide. So why the heck do I have the body of a Heroic Spirit, and a weird system screen with Gae Bolg in my hands?!

Chapter 1 - A Lancer's Tale- Part 1

*Leopold Subaru POV*

*Fiore Kingdom*

*Year: 784*

"Owwww my head?" I grumbled to myself as I slowly got up.

Looking around, I saw that I was surrounded by tall dark trees with the greenest leaves I have ever seen, or well, the darkest/greenest if I was being perfectly honest.I heard a few weird bird calls that I couldn't pinpoint where they were from, alongside the other animal noises that, in all honesty, sounded both similiar and off from the ones I heard for the zoo a couple of times.

I could immediately tell that I was nowhere near home, nor my hometown, probably. Seeing as how the animal calls were extremmly unfamiliar to me, and the fact that the biggest trees we had back in Iowa were a few oak trees that were about half the size of the ones I was seeing. Getting up slowly and rubbing my head, I looked down and saw that I was wearing black jeans, brown shoes, a white undershirt, and a blue fluffy jacket for some reason. Which, while not the oddest thing, was because I was in my pajamas last night.

I could also feel myself getting a bitter hotter as well, and I quickly took my newly gifted Jacket off, not sure why I would wear the damn thing in this weather. I mean, based on the few changing leaves, I could tell that fall was fast approaching, but even then, it was still too warm for it right now. That's when I heard a clang sound as something metallic hit the forest floor, and it was right behind me.

Slowly turning my head, I felt my eyes bulge seeing a familiar red spear, quite literally all red, made of some weird material I couldn't identify with several circles on the spear tip. It was the spear Gae Bolg from the Type-Moon multiverse, and as I felt my motuh drop, extremmly freaked out at the spear, a large blue screen appeared before my eyes, and within it a very beautiful woman wearing all white with grey glasses, who had nearly a perfect hourglass body and a bored expression on her face.

Which only served to fuel my well-deserved confusion as she began talking, her voice carrying a bored tone.

"Hello participant Leopold Subaru, you're probably wondering what's happening, where you are, blah blah blah, aka the standard transmigrator questions."

She rubbed her temples as she grabbed a sheet of white paper, far more bored than what you'd expect from even an office worker.

"Listen, you are just one of the countless other yous from various timelines chosen, same as all the rest, and right now I am explaining all this to you after not sleeping for about 100 hours at the very least, so let's just get this over with."

"You've been given the body of the Lancer Heroic Spirit from Type-Moon named...Cu Chulainn, alongside a basic system showing your status and the skills you have available to you."

"Right now, you're in the world of Fairy Tail, or more specifically, in the Kingdom of Fiore... somewhere I have no idea, honestly."

"That isn't to say you have all his stats, or that you're limited to them, you just have a singular class skill, and a random noble phantasm, you can grow stronger through specific tasks/requirements, blah, blah, blah."

"Anyway, we probably won't see each other ever again, so good luck and try to survive longer than a year, unlike your other predecessors."

Then it vanished just as quickly as it arrived, leaving me with my eyes bulging out and mouth agape, currently freakign out over the various bits of information I just learned. Mostly over the fact that there were countless other different versions of me going through the same thing or something similiar, the fact I was now inhabiting the body of a Heroic Spirit, and that I was now in the world of Fairy Tail. I just grabbed both sides of my head in absolute shock, unable to fully articulate the words for what I was feeling right now.

I mean, was I the original me, or just one of the countless other versions who sprang up from different choices? A being born from a different action taken by either me or someone else, with no place to truly call home anymore? Alongside the fact, did I take over the body of a living Cu Chulainn, or did I simply possess his already dead body, with spear in hand?

Shaking my head, I grabbed Gae Bolg, the weight of the spear somehow feeling familiar in my hand, like I had held it for so long it's become part of my body. Slapping myself in the face, I got up and calmed myself down, telling myself that I'd freak out later.

"Ok, that lady said I had a system, although she didn't say what kind of system I got, so here's hoping it's a good one."

"System Open." I say out loud, hoping that it was a more growth-based system rather than a gacha one, mostly because those were hit-or-miss depending on how lucky you are, and I had no confidence in E-Rank Lancer luck.

[Name: Leopold Subaru (Cu chulainn Inheritor)]

[Servant Rank: 1-Star]

[LP: 0/45]

[Parameters]

[Strength: E] [Endurance: E]

[Agility: E] [Mana: E]

[Luck: E] [NP: E (downgraded from B]

[Class Skills: Magic Resistance: E (downgraded from C]

[Noble Phantasm: Gae Bulg: A spear gifted by the witch Scathcath in order to slay her, being far too late, as the user's level is too low, only the bar functions of the spear are accessible, but it is still able to curse whatever the target hits]

Ok, so basically I was now ten times stronger than most normal or Olympic-level humans, good so far, although nothing compared to some of the big names in the world of Fairy Tail, still a good start. Heck, I was even glad to have the barest magic resistance skill, alongside a downgraded Noble Phantasm, better than nothing, which was probably a very real possibility another version of me was probably dealing with.

Either right now, I needed to figure out just where the heck I was, seeing as how...customer service, would that be the right job title for her? Doesn't matter, right now, as I twirled the spear around a bit, I looked around, seeing birds of various colors you wouldn't even see on Earth, heck, I'm pretty sure that even the females of the species put peacocks to shame with their plumage.

The whole place was weird, I mean, I knew it was going to be, considering how colorful the anime itself was, but still, it was a whole other thing seeing it up close for yourself. Either way, it was probably a good idea to try to find the nearest town before doing anything else. I wonder if I could find any books on requip magic, maybe get a few more weapons and upgrade my arsenal, I mean, don't get me wrong, Gae Bolg was an amazing weapon, but it always helps to have a bit of variety just in case the situation requires less...killing.

That or in case I needed a different kind of weapon, like if I had to kill an elemental being...or dragon, either or. Although I believe there was a specific skill, or more accurately personal/class skill for those types of beings, probably Dragon Slayer for obvious reasons, and...oh, what was it, Mystery Slayer for phantasm beast or something like that.

Although I did wonder how the various skills would translate to the Fairy Tail world, some of them would probably be more straightforward, but what about the riding skill? I mean, this place was chock full of magic beasts, so would that limit me to only being able to use certain things or vehicles? Even then, that wasn't accounting for mystic eyes or magic eyes, as they are called in this world.

Oh well, right now, as I kept walking through the forest, looking for a river or something that could lead me back to civilization or close enough to anyway. It was...strange, no matter how you put it, this whole place felt like a weird fever dream that was now my new reality. Hell, I couldn't remember if I died before coming here, or what I was doing before I went to sleep.

I remember getting something to eat and changing into my pajamas; that's it, nothing else, total black after that. Something I need to look into later, or figure out whatever magic is related to memory that could help me remember. It's possible that whatever happened to cause that was extremmly traumatic, forcing my mind to block it out, was it my death, something worse, I have no idea, and it's only causing me to internally freak out more.

I used this time to get a little more familiar with my new body, and the...what did the people of this world call it, Ether...something or another, I think it only came up a few times in the series. Well, except when it came to the one weapon operated by the Magic Council and Zeref's demons. Either way, my body felt more limber than my old one, far more flexible, and definitely had the muscles to match.

Heck, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be able to wield this spear even if I exercised regularly in my old body. Mostly because I was lazy, and had quite literally zero motivation to properly take care of myself, maybe had depression because I don't feel that way anymore, or I may still be processing it all, then it'll hit me all at once. I was not looking forward to that possibility, so maybe it would be best to distract myself by learning requip magic and figuring out how to create a magic eye.

Either way, right now, I was just strolling through the forest, watching a few animals chasing after one another, whether they were hunting, running away, or trying to mate, I could not tell you. It was way more peaceful than my old home, though. I can tell you that, no loud noises, sirens, or any of that crap, just the peaceful sound of nature.

That's when I heard a loud roar echo throughout the forest, causing all the animals who were just peacefully existing to start running off, forming a miniature stampede. They circled around me as I grabbed Gae Bolg with both hands, a familiar feeling running through my veins, as if I had held it a thousand times before, even if I never had before. Either way, I stood ready, my body for some reason itching for a fight, even if my mind was telling me to run away; it might be bits of Cu Chulainn doing that.

Either way, making its way out of the trees was a creature the size of a bear, only it was far more scaly. The scales themselves were a deep green, with each of its feet having only three toes with long/large sharp, black claws, a short neck, and a head that resembled a crocodile, only with a shorter mouth and two piercing yellow eyes. The beast let out a tremendous roar, its voice full of hunger and rage, at what I didn't know, as for the hunger bit, well, I could guess what it was gunning for.

"Well, this should be interesting!" I shouted, an unfamiliar excitement flowing through me, replacing the nervousness I had before.
