Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Oh, My Foolish System!

Konoha, Year 25

9:30 PM

The sun had long set, but the Hokage Rock was still faintly visible in the darkness. The streets were nearly empty, yet the air carried a lingering trace of liveliness. Konoha exuded a peaceful aura, with a slight chill in the gentle breeze.

Uchiha Tatsu walked silently along the street. He was alone, clad in the distinctive, flamboyant trench coat of the Uchiha clan. As he walked, he quietly pondered his own affairs.

It had been five years since Tatsu transmigrated into the world of Naruto. Unfortunately, by the time he arrived, his father had already passed away, and his mother, overcome with grief, died shortly after giving birth to him.

Orphaned from the start, with no resources but what he could seize—such was his fate.

It took him months to realize he was in the perilous world of Naruto, where survival was never guaranteed, and human life was often worth less than a dog's.

What terrible luck.

The Naruto world was not a place of warmth and affection. It was filled with ninjutsu, slaughter, and multiple Shinobi World Wars. Even more terrifying, just when you thought you could lay low and survive until the endgame, you'd suddenly find jonin as common as dogs and kage-level ninjas everywhere.

How many could safely make it to the story's end? Without the protagonist's fate, surviving here was truly dangerous.

As a transmigrator, Tatsu initially planned to live modestly, content with small gains. Just coast through life, maybe hide until the story's finale. After all, Naruto and Sasuke were there to save the day.

But things never went as planned.

Tatsu had intended to learn some ninjutsu, enjoy some sake, eat hotpot, and sing songs. But reality slapped him hard when he realized his surname was Uchiha.

The moment he thought of Itachi, who would be born in a decade or so, Tatsu felt an urge to storm over to the clan leader's house and take out Uchiha Fugaku.

Alright, fine—he couldn't beat Fugaku yet.

Even without Itachi's clan massacre, Tatsu's chances of coasting through life were slim. Because he discovered his late father was Uchiha Kagami.

What a melodramatic identity.

Uchiha Kagami was a disciple of the Second Hokage, a contemporary of the Third Hokage. But he died at the age of twenty-five.

Twenty-five!

His peers were either village leaders, the root of Konoha, or at the very least, high-ranking advisors. Yet Kagami died on a mission just before Tatsu was born.

Even more shocking, Uchiha Kagami had a famous descendant—Uchiha Shisui.

There was an age gap between Kagami and Shisui, meaning Shisui couldn't be Kagami's son. Kagami had only one son: Tatsu.

After ruling out all impossibilities, the remaining option, however absurd, must be true.

So, the bizarre truth was that Shisui was Tatsu's son...

What in the world?!

Can you imagine the feeling of suddenly having a son out of nowhere?

In the manga, Shisui was an orphan.

Didn't that mean Tatsu, like his father Kagami, was destined to die young?

Tatsu sighed.

These days, it seemed trendy to have a tragic backstory. If your life wasn't a bit twisted, you didn't dare step into the shinobi world.

This wouldn't do.

For the past five years, ever since his body allowed it, Tatsu had been training in basic taijutsu, shuriken throwing, and hand signs.

He couldn't be a slacker. Even a salted fish had to flip over eventually.

This resolve kept Tatsu going.

Fortunately, his father, Kagami, had completed many S-rank missions, leaving him a considerable inheritance. Combined with Konoha's monthly orphan relief funds, Tatsu lived a relatively comfortable life.

Thank the heavens.

He was grateful Konoha hadn't swindled his inheritance. Otherwise, he'd be like Naruto, drinking expired milk and unable to afford even a bowl of ramen.

Thank the Land of Fire, thank Konoha, thank the Hokage, thank the organization...

Though he hadn't studied Tai Chi or been a special forces soldier, Tatsu possessed the standard transmigrator perk—a ninja system designed for killing and climbing to the top.

Unfortunately, this unreliable system only appeared once when he extracted chakra at age four, then went silent, offering no further guidance.

Was he destined to be a non-lucky scrub?

Through experimentation, he discovered that diligent training earned him ninja points. This included taijutsu, shuriken practice, and even studying.

For instance, after returning from a recent training session, he heard, "Host has diligently run 200 laps. Ninja Points +10."

Though Tatsu didn't know what ninja points were for, he trusted the system would eventually reveal their purpose.

Sure enough, a voice suddenly rang in his ears.

"Host has accumulated 2,000 points. System panel unlocking."

Tatsu couldn't wait. He quickened his pace, hurrying back home.

He'd been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Oh, my foolish system!

Tatsu's home was in a remote corner of the Uchiha clan grounds. After his parents' deaths, the clan reclaimed their large house, relegating him to a dilapidated shack.

Though rundown, the house was clean inside.

"I'm back," Tatsu said to his parents' portrait on the wall, a habit despite living alone.

He quickly shut the door and jumped onto his bed.

"System, show me the panel! What are ninja points for? Tell me quick, I'm dying here!" Tatsu called out eagerly.

The system displayed text: "Activating free inquiry mode. Host can now query freely and operate the system via brainwaves."

Suddenly, a 3D interface visible only to Tatsu appeared before his eyes.

System Interface:
