(Third Person POV)
[Somewhere In Fiore]
"Natsu!!!" Gray exclaimed as Natsu was thrown through a wall, "Dammit!!!"
The Fire Dragon Slayer was flung through the air, outside a building that they were investigating.
"Ah, shit!!" Natsu hit a tree hard and broke it in half, "What the hell?!"
Gray stood there, watching through the hole that was caused, "In an instant..." He turned to see a disturbing blob form on the floor in front of him, "What is this thing?"
"Eeeeekkkkk!!!" Gray heard Lucy screaming, "G-Grayyyy!!!!"
"Lucy!" Gray said as he saw Lucy ran until the room, followed by several massive fly-like creatures with sharp teeth, "What the.....!!"
Lucy reached him and as the creatures got close, the Ice Mage immediately assumed his stance.
"Ice Make: Lance!"
He fired multiple ice lance projectiles that pierced the creatures and exploded them into thick black goo. The goo suddenly sucked into the large blob that was in front of them and Gray watched as a grotesque lump of meat sprouted tentacles in front of them.
Lucy was hiding behind him, shuddering, "What are these things?!" She asked, "They're so terrifying!!"
"The job said they're paranormal creatures." Gray said as a strange pressure was emitted from the tentacle creature in front of them, "So....I'm guessing some sort of Demon...."
"Demon???" Lucy said, "Are you serious???? Like those from that Island?"
"I don't know." Gray said with a serious expression, "They're not normal at all..."
As he said this, Erza and Wendy burst through the room, a panicked expression on the S-Class Mage's face.
"Gray! Lucy!!" She shouted as the two flying Exceeds were behind them, "Get out!! Now!!"
"What now?!" Gray asked
Erza rushed towards Lucy, grabbing her and hauling her over her shoulder before grabbing Gray by his pants and flinging him out through the hole in the wall.
"Erza-san!" Wendy said with surprise
"ERZAAAAA!!!" Gray said as he flew towards where Natsu was straightening up
Gray hit Natsu, and the two collapsed on the ground.
"ARgghh!" Natsu exclaimed
"What's happening?!" Lucy exclaimed, "I'm so confused!!"
"The whole building's going to implode!" Erza said, "I messed up!!"
As they exited the building, the walls began to collapse as a loud howling was heard. Several large figures burst through the ceiling of the stone building, which resembled a fort. They resembled serpentine creatures, with several bulging yellow eyes. They emitted a black miasma that spread around the air, distorting it completely.
Erza stopped and turned to see the entire building collapsing, dust and debris flying all over. She still had Lucy over her shoulder.
Wendy reached her, "We made it...." She panted, "Oh my...."
"Lucy, you okay?" Happy asked as he floated above them
"Y-Yes...." Lucy said, "Erza.....are these demons?"
Erza narrowed her eyes as she saw the serpentine figures slowly retract into what seemed like several bulging lumps of flesh that several mouths with sharp teeth.
"I can only assume that." Erza said, "In the past few weeks, demonic activity has become much more common.....I wonder what triggered it. And I do wonder what these are about...."
She set Lucy down, who wobbled to the side.
"Get the fuck off me, Gray!!!" Natsu was heard
Erza turned to see Natsu pushing Gray off him as the two of them stood up and butted heads.
"It ain't my fault!!" Gray said with a glare, "Don't fucking push me off!!"
"You crashed into me!!!" Natsu said with an angry tone, "You're pissing me off!!!"
"Erza threw me at you!" Gray shouted
"Ahem!!" Erza cleared her throat, "Get it together!"
Natsu stepped to the side, "Alright, alright!" He cracked his knuckles, "They caught me off guard! But they're using some sort of weird magic, right??? I'll just burn them before they do that!"
"Don't be stupid." Gray said, "They were able to fling you across the building with ease. My guess is they used some sort of spatial magic....but right now.....they're a lot of them....."
Erza saw that the massive creatures were letting out a tense pressure, which reached them. Lucy and Wendy were shuddering from the feeling. The mere sight of the creatures were enough to give them a bad feeling.
"They're strong." Erza summoned a sword, "Let's approach this care-"
She was cut off by the sound of whistling, followed by footsteps.
Everyone turned to see a figure slowly approach them from behind, walking through the trees that surrounded the now-gone building.
Natsu widened his eyes, a bit surprised, "W-Who....?" He said, a bead of sweat rolling down his cheek, "Who is this guy? His scent is...."
As the figure came closer, they all saw that it was a tall man wearing a black leather trench coat. He had a grey button-up shirt with black jeans. A black leather belt with a holster on the side. The man had black hair and grey eyes, his skin was a bit pale and he had a couple of scars on his face. He had a black cowboy hat that had a horned devil symbol at the very front.
The man was whistling as he casually walked past the Team, who were a bit baffled by his sudden appearance.
"H-Hey...." Erza said as he walked in front of her, "Who are you....?"
The Man stopped and drew a revolver, taking aim at the creatures and firing multiple shots. Each bullet flew at a different creature and pierced them, causing them to instantly explode, blood and guts flying everywhere.
He didn't stop whistling, his eyes simply staring into nothing as he spun the revolver in his fingers and casually holstered it.
He then pulled out what looked like a cigarette and lit it up with a lighter, placing it in his mouth as he took a huff.
"Ahh...." He said, "Having a smoke after exorcising demons is my favorite."
Erza narrowed her eyes, completely unsettled by the power of this man, "H-Hey...." She said, "Who are you? What are you doing here?"
The Man looked at her, "Hm?" He said, "Oh, you folks still here? Wait.....I know you. Red hair, armor.....powerful...hm....you're Titania, aren't you? Erza Scarlett."
Erza nodded, "I am...."
"Fairy Tail." The Man took his cigarette and exhaled a small cloud of smoke, "Seems Fiore's infestation of demons got your attention, huh? Oh well...nothing you could do about this. If it was your job to exorcise these demons, I apologize. You can take the credit, I felt them a couple of miles away and it is not just my job to kill them, but also a hobby. I can do it for free, especially if it were some low-level scrubs like those."
Natsu stepped forwards, "Who the hell are you?"
"Name's Mikael." the Man said, "I'm an Exorcist Mage. A Devil Slayer."
"The Gun Devil Slayer."
