Amelia's POV
I sat on my bed, looking at the gown hung on my wardrobe for this evening. I have been preparing for this day since i turned 16 and now i am finally going to complete my mating ceremony with my first love and fated mate. And also become the luna of Bloodmoon pack.
I could still remember the first day I met Theodore when he saved me from the attack of rogues and promised to always protect me and be by my side. Even after i found out that i didn't have a wolf making me a low ranked werewolf, he still stood by me despite the fact that my parents and pack members didn't like me.
" Amelia get down here, your hair dresser is waiting!" my adopted mom and beta female shouted from doenstairs. I didn't really relate well with my family ever since the foundout i didn't have a wolf. I rushed downstairs into the dressing room since i didn't want to keep anyone else waiting.
" everything is ready Amelia" kira said in an offensive tone which i didn't fine offending. I walked towards the mirror after my makeup was done to look at my reflection, i was stunned by what i saw. I was so beautiful and everything i wore matched perfectly. My wavy blond hair styled beautifully with ornaments on them, my gown which was emerald green design with beautiful beadings and the rose gold jewelry sent by theodore matched perfectly with my hazel eye.
I looked so perfect with my curves fitting at the right places. I smiled and thanked everyone of them which of course, they didn't respond to it.
It was finally time for the ceremony, i was both happy and nervous about it. I walked towards the entrance of the pack house where the ceremony was taking place. As i arrived, one of the pack guards gave me a cheerful smile then he announced my arrival and opened the door leading to the hall.
I smiled as i walked in gracefully towards where my mate stood. He looked so perfect, his long black hair packed in a ponytail, his perfectly toned body trying to find there way out from his suit.
As i moved towards him, i felt a bit of unease and had a bad feeling.
" Amelia, your just too nervous and over thinking." i said to myself and stood beside thoedore.
The ceremony officially started and all the performance and blessings where given by different pack members. As the pack elder announced it was time for the blood oat, the whole pack became quiet. Then theodore came to the front and announced that he wasn't going to do the blood oat with me.
" Thoedore, what do you mean by we won't be exchanging the blood oat?" i asked him trying to keep my emotions intact. " i am really sorry Amelia but you can't be my luna and mate. I need someone strong who can stand by me to protect the pack."Theodore said, at that point my whole world shattered. I didn't know when i started crying
" but you promised theodore, you promised that i will be your only luna and mate. Your breaking that promise now theodore" i said as tears kept flowing from my eye. I held his hand praying it was all a prank but he removed my hand from his and stepped back.
" i am really sorry that i couldn't keep my promise to you Amelia, but the pack comes first. I am a strong Alpha and i need a strong luna who will stand by me to protect the pack and i have already decided that sophia will be my luna" he said as sophia stood up and stood by his side.
" i am so sorry sis, but the pack needs me, we just need you to support us" sophia said as she hugged me then whispered in my ears, " just watch as i take everything from you" she said as she went back and stood beside theodore holding his hand.
I couldn't take this betrayal, my mate cheating on me with my younger sister.
" why her theodore, why sophia?" i cried out bitterly wanting to know the reasons for this wicked action.
"she is the most suitable person for that position amelia, and everyone else in the pack are in support of it including your parents, so i hope you will understand too." he said looking at me coldly.
I looked at my parents and everyone else in the pack but the didn't look surprised.
" so i was the only one kept in the dark, why didn't you tell me? You would have told me before this day, why must it be now!"
" we felt it was best if we told you now, so you could just change places with sophia" theodore said shamelesslly.
" enough of all this, Amelia, we have always known you to be sensible so we hope you take this right" my mom said as she announced for the celebration to continue, like i meant nothing to her and my feelings too.
Theodore stood beside sophia looking at me sadly before saying the words that broke me completely.
" I Theodore Lancaster reject you Amelia Fairfax as my mate and future luna of Bloodmoon pack." Immediately he said those words, it felt like my heart was being thorn apart from my body, i fell to the ground holding my chest as tears fell from my eyes. I slowly faded into darkness as i felt my bond with theodore break.
