Grrrrr.....wake up! Wake up! It's 8 am already
Those noises made Calista began tossing on the bed tiredly and weakly. She stopped and made to drift of to sleep but didn't get the second chance as her alarm disturbed her.
"Aaaargh!" She groaned, hitting her hard with her palms and like that, everywhere became quiet. She heaved a sigh as she arranged the pillows well, sleeping back again.
( Welcome to Scarlett music band! This is where you get your dream achieved successfully, Calista admired with smile, anxious to go inside. And when she finally did, she was blocked by the way by the able men she could assume to be guards.
"I'm supposed to be here," she said but got not respond. Thinking she was free to go in, she made to enter but was blocked.
"You're late for the interview," one of them said and Calista arched her brows.
"Really?" She began thinking and then remembered she had an interview.
"Oh! Yeah you're right, that's why I'm here," she said.
"Check your time," ordered the second and Calista nodded. Looking around for the wall clock.)
"Grrrrr.....!!"
"Gosh!" She jerked out of bed and stared furiously at the innocent alarm that had been doing it job.
"You're just so crazy!" She muttered and yanked the duvet away but stopped when she remembered she had to check the time in her dream
"Huh!" Calista s eyes nearly popped out.
She got an interview by 7:30am and here she is, rising from the bed at quarter to eight.
"Oh no!" She groaned and remembered how the alarm had been helping her but she rudely shut it up.
"Shit! This is a huge mess!!" She scolded herself and sluggishly arose. Wearing her flipflop and making her way to the bathroom. But her phone buzzled and she quickly reached for it. Hoping she hasn't been terminated.
She sigh again seeing lot of messages about the interview. Guilt eloped her like never before
But the message at that moment was from the basketball team and inviting her for a live match.
She hissed, dropped her phone and then the door opened. Then her mum, Mrs Hudson walked in.
"Good morning mum,"
"Thought you said you had an interview?" Mrs Hudson asked and Calista sigh.
"Yes mum, but seems I'm late," she mumbled unhappily and Mrs Hudson sigh. She had thought about that and had come to to check on her daughter.
"Breakfast is ready! Come over and don't let the interview bother you," she rather said and reached for the door knob, twisting it and when the door was pulled opened. She walked away.
Immediately the door was shut behind her mum, Calista heaved a sigh before she headed to the bathroom.
After ten minutes of shower. She applied body lotion, dried her hair. Put on her verse. And also reached for her football.
Why isn't she dressing for the interview? That's because she already got her mind out of it. She just needed to focus on her football like before. She remembered the talks about Scarlett. You can be embarrassed to hell for sliding a simple rule.
When she was done, she walked out of the room and met her mum arranging the dishes.
"Calista!" Her mum called in shock. She had expected her to be dressed coperatly, prepared for the interview, even tho she was late, she should be willing to give a try.
Calista dropped the football on one of the chairs carefully and balanced to prevent it from falling before shifted the other chair backwards to sit on it. Her mum stared at her
"What about the interview?"
"I'm late," she replied, reaching for a spoon. She stopped when she saw the look on her mom's face, probably a disappointing one.
"I slept off late last night, so I woke up by four am and thought it was so early so I decided to sleep back only to be awake and see it's quarter to nine,"
"That's serves you right," Mrs Hudson said and Calista choked.
"Mum," she arched her brows remembering how she had lied she had actually applied in a hospital and how excited her mjm had been.
"Well, you shouldn't give up daughter, there are central hospitals out there which you shouldn't give up on. But I had thought you'd give a try. Go over there and....
"Get embarrassed," Calista completed before sipping her tea.
"How about you apply at central hospitals?"
"Not interested mum,"
"Huh? The workers there get paid weekly,"
"I guess they are lucky," Calista said and Mrs Hudson shook her head.
"Mum, I've gat no interest in whatever it's been called medicine, "
"That's what you dad and I had planned for you after you were born. You had a class on it and you were taught few about medication so why keep the field empty?"
"Maybe you guys didn't think straight,"
"Huh?"
"Nothing mum, gotta go now bye, love ya," she reached for her ball and without wasting time, jogged outta the house
Mrs Hudson watched as she jogged to the gate and outside. Then all she could do at that moment was just sigh.
"Hey buddy," Aiden called out as he stumped into his cousin's room to meet them playing whot.
He was wowed. Amazed with how they got to be close this days. Romoe and Rex happens to be identical twins but never acted like one.
But maybe that's after they were done arguing.
"Who's gonna challenge each other this time?" He asked. Seeing the look of determination on their faces.
Rex dropped a card and Romeo which they continued like that not untill it got to a point where it got Rex thinking. He didn't drop any card and Romeo became furious.
" Don't try to do anything stupid," he gave Rex a strict warning and he laughed followed by Aiden.
But he wasn't suppose to say anything cause as soon as Rex dropped a card. It was obvious he was getting there.
"I'm a bad nigga
I don't have a damn chance
Id rather walk away than give you a second look
"Hey!" Noel said as he gave Calista a light tap from behind. He had seen her coming and had rushed to go meet her. Since she wouldn't hear cause she had her head phone on, he decided to give a tap. He smiled after hearing the song she played.
She quickly turned to see it's Noel, a smile escaped her lips.
"What's up kiddy," he teased and Calista frowned back. She hate it each time he calls her that.
"You're here for the game?' he asked but she ignored him and continued walking away.
Noel just would surpress his laughter to the fact that Calista was indeed angry with him.
"Hey! I'm sorry,"
"Just get lost!" She snarled.
"Okay fine!" He showed up in front of her and raised both hands up.
"I promise, never to call you that again," he said and seeing the seriousness on his face, Calista only glared at him.
They began walking together.
"What about the interview?" Noel asked after he remembered she had told him she will be going for an interview at Scarlett.
Calista explained everything to him and all he just did was to tease her.
"I'm sorry," he quickly said after he had made mention of the word kiddy.
"Sure mum is gonna worry about it," he said and Calista nodded
"She had believed it was a hospital, I lied,"
"Why?"
"She keeps persuading me all the time to be a doctor, which I honestly don't worry, gosh! That sulks a lot," she rolled her eyes.
Noel understood Calista, she was fit at what she was good at. And that's basketball.
"So are you gonna quit Scarlett just like that?" He asked and Calista thought for a while. She had actually given up on the so called Scarlett but with Noel's question. She felt she shouldn't have.
"I'll rethink," she said and finally they got to where all the team had gathered and in no time, the coach bad arrived to give the rules.
"Wohooooo!" Rex exclaimed, lifting his two hands up triumphantly. Aiden clapped for Rex while Romeo rolled his eyes as he rested his back to the chair.
"This is really awesome! I can't believe you overcame today," Aiden teased Romeo.
"I gave him a chance," Romeo muttered as he reached for his phone and switch it on
Rex stood up to leave.
"Where are you going to?" Aiden asked him after he bad put on his face cap.
"A date,"
"With?"
"Skylar," he replied and Romeo hissed loudly.
Rex faced him.
"Not again! You keep hissing at the mention of Skylar's name, don't tell me it's what I'm thinking,"
Romeo looked at him. "What are you thinking?" He asked and Rex winked at him.
Aiden laughed.
"You think I got Skylar already, oh you don't need to panic, she isn't my type,"
"There you go again!" Aiden snorted at Romeo. "No girl is your type!"
"Shaudrey told me someone will be coming for the interview," Romeo changed the topic, preventing Aiden from speaking about the gay he was been called.
"Oh that, yes there was someone who was supposed to be here, but after waiting for a long while, he never showed up, I guess he isn't serious," Aiden said.
"But why do you want someone in the team?" Rex asked Romeo who explained how they needed someone urgently to replaced Charles who bad left to get his studio. He was a full trained singer .very talented as well.
"Why don't we hire females, cause majority of the application letters were all females,"
"When our rules stick to Males?" Romeo rolled his eyes.
Scarlett band was known to be one of the biggest brand for singing, dancing and other competition.
They do win countless times in difference occasion and have trained numerouse singers in the last seven years.
Rex left as soon as he got a text from Skylar, leaving Romeo and Rex.
"Don't you have a date?" Aiden asked and Romeo eyed him.
"What about Isabel?" He asked again.
"Why do you find it pleasing to pick on me?"
"That's because you need to change else you wouldn't want your fans to believe the rumourse that has already spread about you being a gay,"
"What!!"
