Synopsis
Zeref doesn’t know how he died. One moment, he was living an ordinary adult life — and in the next, he woke up in the body of a ten-year-old boy inside a world that should only exist on a computer screen. That world isn’t unfamiliar — it’s Megicula, the setting of a game he once played back in high school. But now, fate has given him a mission he never asked for: > [Steal all the heroines from the original protagonist.] [Reward: Eternal life in this world.] [Failure: Your soul will be punished forever.] Trapped in the body of a weak character destined to die a miserable death, Zeref must rewrite the story of this world in his own way. He must conquer the hearts of the heroines, overturn the role of the protagonist, and build his strength from the ground up — all while seeking answers to the greatest mystery of his life: how he died… and who wanted him here. But the deeper he dives into this new reality, the more he realizes one undeniable truth: This world is no longer just a game.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1 Reincarnation

In the Helios Kingdom, inside a noble’s grand mansion within the human realm, a young boy lay asleep in a luxurious bedroom — the very definition of opulence.

The room was adorned with golden walls, spacious enough to house at least eight people comfortably. The boy appeared to be around ten years old, with black hair, chubby cheeks, and an adorable face. There was no doubt that he would grow into a strikingly handsome man someday.

The scene would have been perfectly peaceful — if not for the boy frowning and tossing about in bed as if he were in pain. He groaned and writhed until suddenly he bolted upright, clutching his head.

“What… what’s going on? Why does my head hurt so much? What happened?”

“Arghhh… damn, it hurts so bad…”

The boy continued struggling, writhing as if the pain was tearing him apart.

“Why does my head feel like it’s about to explode… what’s happening??”

He screamed in agony for at least fifteen minutes before finally starting to calm down.

“Ugh… wow… I must’ve had too much to drink last night,” the boy muttered as he lay sprawled on the floor — then froze as he realized the place around him was not his home.

“What the hell? Did I drink so much that I ended up in someone else’s house… or am I hallucinating?”

As he tried to stand, his legs buckled and he fell backward.

“Damn it, my muscles ache all over! Did I get into a fight at the bar? No… no, that’s not important. The real question is: where the hell am I?”

Lying there and questioning himself, the boy noticed something he hadn’t before — everything around him seemed huge.

No, that couldn’t be right. The truth was, he had become smaller. Fear crept into his chest as he raised his hand and saw it — small, pale, and most importantly, smooth.

A sudden thought flashed through his mind — a concept popular in countless light novels.

As an avid reader, he had read many fantasy transmigration stories.

“No… no, that’s impossible. It can’t be…”

While he desperately tried to dismiss the thought, a sound rang out — nailing his suspicion into reality.

[Welcome, Host, to your new life!]

The voice spoke cheerfully, unaware that its words had just shattered the fragile hope inside the boy.

Hearing words he never thought he’d hear in his life, tears welled up and streamed down his cheeks.

“So… I died.”

“How… how is that possible? The last thing I remember was leaving my girlfriend’s place to buy groceries and then… wait, I can’t remember anything after that.”

Reading the host’s thoughts, the system responded:

[Host died after returning from grocery shopping. You were caught in the middle of a robbery and were hit by a stray bullet. The memory of the incident has been erased to prevent psychological trauma.]

Upon hearing that, the boy sobbed even harder.

“So I died… without accomplishing anything in my life? Without repaying my parents for their love and support? Without achieving my dreams?”

[Warning… Warning… Host’s mental state deteriorating…]

[Activating emergency mental stabilization protocol.]

Suddenly, a cool sensation washed over him, and the dark thoughts clouding his mind slowly faded away.

[Host, you may have died, but now you have a chance to rewrite your future. Please calm down and take a deep breath.]

His blurred vision slowly cleared as his sanity returned.

Taking a deep breath, the boy tried to stand — but collapsed again.

Lying on the carpet, he asked, “So… what happened to my home? Are my parents okay?”

[Your parents are safe. They are currently at your funeral. They were deeply depressed, but they will recover in time.]

Hearing that, the boy let out a sigh of relief.

“Give me some time… I need to think.”

The system fell silent, sensing the state of its host.

Closing his eyes, the boy began recalling his past — his life, his parents, and everyone he once knew.

Half an hour later, he opened his eyes again. Though he still carried a storm of emotions and had not fully let go of his past, he was now ready to move forward.

“Hey, System… can you tell me why I can’t move?”

At last, the system replied:

[Your soul is currently synchronizing with your new body. Due to incompatibilities between your soul and this body, integration will take time.]

[However, Host, I can accelerate the process by delivering a shock to your body.]

Hearing the first part made him smile, but the second part made his expression stiffen.

“How long would it take if I choose the normal route?”

[Approximately 2 to 3 months.]

“So basically, you’re saying I have no choice but to accept the shock, huh? Looks like I don’t have another option.”

Taking a deep breath to control his rising frustration, the boy said,

“Do it. Give me the shock.”

[Very well, Host. Take a deep breath. The shock will begin in 3… 2… 1!]

Suddenly, the boy’s body convulsed wildly like a fish out of water. It lasted for about 30 seconds before stopping.

“Hey, System… why don’t you appear in front of me so I can thank you properly?”

[That is unnecessary, Host. I am an eternal existence, and you cannot touch me.]

Grumbling to himself, the boy pushed himself off the floor and looked around.

“Judging by the furniture and this room, this boy’s family must be pretty wealthy…”

“Hey, System. Tell me where I am and who I am now.”

[Host, you might want to sit down before I tell you that.]

Hearing this, the boy sat on the bed, ready to listen.

[You are currently in the world of ‘Megicula’ created by ‘Satan_666.’]

At those words, the boy jumped up in shock.

“What!? What do you mean!? Are you saying I’m inside a game created by the famous developer Satan_666?”

[Yes… and no. This world is real — not a game.]

As he tried to process the shocking revelation, he collapsed back onto the bed.

Satan_666… Megicula… How could I not know those names?

It was during his second year of high school that the game was released — and it quickly became a massive hit.

At its core, it was an eroge game…

With powerful heroines to conquer, thrilling adventures, intense battles — and heart-racing passion.
