Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Lunch With Rena

The kingdom I currently lived in was the Kingdom of Helios, ruled by the 9th King Helios, who took the throne 14 years ago.

Surrounding Helios were several other kingdoms, each powerful in their own right and known for their unique specialties.

For example, the Kingdom of Gloria was entirely devoted to magic — it was said that even ordinary citizens there knew basic spells.

Meanwhile, the Kingdom of Avalon focused on close-quarters combat and martial prowess.

Traveling between territories required the use of transportation gates, and not just anyone was permitted to pass through them.

As for the demon territories, they were home to countless demon races, but all were ruled under just two great kingdoms: Lucifer and Beelzebub.

There were also other races created by the twin goddesses — aquatic species that lived beneath the vast oceans.

An enormous undersea kingdom ruled by the Mermaid Tribe and the Whale Tribe thrived beneath the waves.

Contrary to what most people might expect, there was no major war or ongoing hostility between the races. They lived in relative harmony, coexisting peacefully despite their differences.

But thousands of years ago… a war had shaken the world to its core — a war between the goddess Megicula and her sibling.

The conflict escalated to catastrophic levels. Millions perished, and rivers of blood turned the land crimson. Yet, the reason behind the war remained unknown to almost everyone.

Almost everyone… but me.

Because I had played this game before, I knew the truth hidden behind a secret quest.

The cause wasn't some grand betrayal or dark prophecy — it was a disagreement.

Goddess Megicula wanted to live among her creations, to interact with them and shape a harmonious world.

But her sibling opposed the idea, wanting to leave the creations untouched — never interfering with their existence.

And so, the most devastating war in history was waged… over that difference in ideology.

I remember how shocked I was when I first discovered that truth.

I opened my eyes and stretched my stiff body after sitting for so long. It was time to take a break and walk around.

"Oh, before that… Hey, System, show me all the features you can offer."

[As you wish, Host.]

📜 System Functions:

Status

Shop

Information

Notebook

Looking over the options, one in particular caught my attention.

"Hey System, what does 'Information' mean?"

[As the name suggests, you can view and purchase certain information for a price.]

[And before you ask, 'price' refers to Affection Points you earn by conquering heroines or performing actions that significantly affect the original protagonist.]

My expression twisted slightly as I listened.

So basically, I had to mess with the protagonist's life to progress.

"Damn it… that Game God really holds grudges," I muttered inwardly, brushing the thought aside as I tapped on Status. A blue screen materialized before my eyes.

Name: Zeref Fernandez

Age: 10

Affection Points: 0

Appearance: 9/10 – (Good enough to live off your looks alone.)

Talent: 7/10 – (Nothing compared to your siblings.)

Note: Hidden Bloodline (Locked)

Title: None

Conquered Targets: None

"Huh… so I do have a hidden bloodline. But as far as I remember, Zeref never had one in the game…"

"Could it be… he never awakened it?"

In this world, bloodlines weren't hereditary. One could be born with or without one — it all came down to luck.

A bloodline could be either a blessing or a curse — not all of them were beneficial. Some could even bring disaster.

And just being born with a bloodline didn't guarantee you could awaken it.

Many people lived their whole lives without ever realizing they had one.

"Hey System, is my bloodline strong?"

[If you want that information, you'll have to purchase it.]

"Ugh, you're such a stingy system…" I grumbled internally and switched over to the Shop. To my surprise, it had several subdivisions:

📦 Shop

Combat Shop

Sexual Shop

Curious, I tapped on the Sexual Shop. After scrolling through the items inside… I went silent.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when the library door opened and Tania stepped inside.

"Young master, it's time for lunch — and you still need to meet with the young lady."

Only then did I realize how much time had passed. I stood up and nodded.

"Alright, let's go. And tell my sister we'll be having lunch together."

"Yes, young master."

A few minutes later, I was seated in the dining hall, with my little sister sitting across from me.

Looking at her, I felt unsure how to start a conversation. Then, when I noticed the main course was lamb, an idea popped into my head.

"Tania."

"Yes, young master?"

"Set my seat next to my sister's. I'll help her cut the lamb and feed her."

My commanding tone and unusual request startled the servants in the room, but they quickly composed themselves and followed my instructions.

Now sitting beside my little sister, I noticed her staring at me in shock — as if I'd turned into a completely different person.

Chuckling softly, I patted her head.

"Don't worry, little Rena. Your big brother will feed you today."

Hearing my words, she shyly nodded. And then something unexpected happened — something that caught me off guard.

I blinked at the glowing notification above her head, momentarily stunned. Regaining my composure, I checked her updated status.

Name: Rena Fernandez

Age: 8

Talent: 9/10

Title: None

Affection: 69% (Familial Love)

Description: Wants to be close to her big brother but doesn't know how. Slightly looks down on you for your weakness. (Wants to play with her big brother.)

Difficulty: B+ – She's a child. If you play your cards right, she's yours.

Her affection had risen by 1%.

"Not bad. Looks like I can raise her affection much more easily than I thought."

I continued cutting her food and gently serving it to her as if she were a delicate, precious gem.

The more I fed her, the more points I earned.

It felt like she was an ATM dispensing affection points, and I was a desperate man in need of them.

As I continued feeding her, a thought crossed my mind. Was this affection truly genuine? Of course, spending time with your brother was nice — but that alone didn't explain how easily her affection was rising.

Then it hit me.

She was probably lonely.

With a busy mother, a sister occupied with training, and no friends to play with… she must have felt deeply alone.

Realizing that, a bittersweet smile crept across my lips.

Looking into her innocent green eyes, I gently picked up a napkin and wiped her face clean.
