Chapter 4 – Information About the World of Megicula
"Young master, wake up."
"Young master, please wake up."
A gentle voice called out to me. My tired eyes slowly fluttered open, and the first thing I saw was an unfamiliar ceiling. For a moment, I felt confused — until memories from yesterday flooded back into my mind.
"I see… so it wasn't a dream."
Sitting up, I noticed a woman in a traditional maid outfit standing beside my bed. She had a mature aura, a beautiful figure, and a cute, youthful face. She was patiently waiting for me to wake up.
"Ah, her name is Tania. She's been assigned as my temporary maid until my personal attendant is officially chosen."
In the world of Megicula, every noble child is assigned a personal maid or butler at the age of twelve.
Pushing those thoughts aside, I smiled at her as innocently as I could and said,
"Good morning, Tania."
"Good morning, young master. It's time for you to freshen up."
"Of course, let's go."
At my signal, she guided me to the bathroom, where I was washed, rinsed, and dressed.
It felt strange at first — having someone else clean and dress me — but I couldn't deny the mental satisfaction of it. Even though my body was still young and incapable of reacting like an adult, my mind was still very much that of a grown man.
It was then that I truly realized how enormous the mansion I lived in was. Every corner radiated wealth and luxury.
Tania led me to the dining room, where a massive table was already covered with a lavish breakfast spread. My new family was waiting for me.
It was a rule that all members of the family must eat breakfast together.
I greeted everyone politely — I really needed to get used to this new life.
Mother and my little sister smiled warmly at me, while my older sister simply frowned and turned her gaze away.
"How cute," I thought, amused by her behavior.
I sat down and began eating. The taste of the food was unlike anything I had ever eaten before — it melted in my mouth, rich and delicate.
During breakfast, Mother asked me about my health and how I was feeling, and I answered briefly, keeping in line with Zeref's personality.
After breakfast, everyone went about their day — Mother had duties to attend to, my older sister left for training, and my younger sister went to study.
Being part of a noble family might sound glorious, but it came with its own responsibilities. Children here were expected to start learning and honing their skills from a very young age.
Every noble child was trained to develop their full potential. Because of this, noble children in this world matured faster — both mentally and emotionally — due to their studies and responsibilities.
Before my little sister left, I asked her if she could spend some time with me in the evening.
She was surprised but immediately agreed. Being only eight, her lessons weren't too demanding yet.
As for me, since I was still "recovering," Mother had granted me a week-long break from studies.
With free time on my hands, I decided to visit the mansion's library. As someone who believed that "knowledge is power," I needed to learn more about this world as soon as possible.
The library was massive, lined with books from floor to ceiling. It was a treasure trove of knowledge.
I dismissed Tania for some privacy and immediately dove into reading books about the basics of this world.
Three hours later...
Closing the fourth book, I leaned back in my chair and shut my eyes.
"So the knowledge I remember from the game is still accurate in this world."
As I mentioned before, this world is called Megicula — a world created by two goddesses, who used their divine powers to shape it exactly how they desired.
They created four main regions:
The realm of the elves
The realm of the beastmen
The realm of humans
The realm of the demons
🌿 The Elven Realm
The elves built a vast kingdom deep within a great forest — much like a magical Amazon. Their society is governed by multiple clans working together. Known for their mastery of trade and magic, elves are at the center of the world's economy.
A huge portion of the world's wealth flows through them, and they control many of the most powerful businesses and banks.
Because of their long lifespan, they also have a far greater number of experts. Yet, despite their power, they do not seek world domination. They already have everything — wealth, land, and a prosperous life.
On top of that, their innate magical abilities have earned them the protection of dragons.
Dragons in this world have no kingdom, no clans. They are far above such things — they exist on an entirely different level.
Said to be the first species ever created by the two goddesses, dragons possess strength and vitality beyond any other race.
They do not interfere in worldly affairs, but they ensure that balance and peace are maintained.
Because of this, the elves enjoy their protection — and no one dares oppose them.
🐾 The Beastmen Tribes
The beastmen are scattered across multiple regions, divided into various tribes. Four of them stand as the main clans:
Lion Tribe
Tiger Tribe
Wolf Tribe
Cat Tribe
Each main tribe governs several smaller clans under a council-like system. There is no single king — yet, surprisingly, their system works perfectly for them.
Unlike the elves, beastmen are more inclined toward close-quarters combat than magic, though they do use magic as part of their fighting style.
Each tribe specializes in a unique field.
For example, the Cat Tribe excels in assassination, while the Tiger Tribe are renowned as treasure hunters.
Together, all tribes have created an exotic and vibrant culture — a land that has become one of the greatest travel destinations in the world.
🔨 The Dwarves
The dwarves are different. They do not have a kingdom, but rather a single, heavily fortified city — a city said to be impenetrable.
Because of their low birth rates, their population is much smaller. They live together in this city, protected by towering metal walls and advanced technology.
The dwarves are responsible for producing about 60% of the world's weapons — an astonishing figure. They live for forging and drinking, and it's said they have more wealth than they could ever spend.
🏰 The Human Territories
Humans, unlike the other races, are not united. They have no single defining trait or specialization.
Other races see this as a weakness — but humans turned that weakness into strength.
They developed their own ways, creating magical weapons and learning the skills of other races to surpass them.
Humans also produce some of the most powerful individuals in the world — people who should never be underestimated.
The human realm is divided into multiple kingdoms and empires, each with its own culture, ambitions, and power.
I closed the last book and leaned back again, exhaling slowly.
This was the world I now lived in — Megicula, a world born of divine hands, filled with powerful races, political intrigue, and endless possibilities.
And now… I had to conquer it.
