Do-yul stepped through the train doors, his blond hair catching the light, uniform jacket slung casually over his shoulder.
Everyone froze for a second at how different he looked. Taller, broader and handsome in a way that makes even strangers pause.
But before anyone can say a word, he was already striding forward, wrapping his arms around Haeun, his mother.
"Mom.." he murmurs into his shoulder, voice rough, "I'm home. I've missed you alot.."
Haeun clinged to him instantly, tears in his eyes, patting his back like he's still that small boy.
"Yul, my darling son. You're finally home and you're all grown up.."
Do-yul smiled and pulled away, "It was boring and I got into a lot of fights. I bet they were happy to see me go.."
-_-
Yeongsoo smiled and pulled Do-yul into a hug "Don't you miss your old man as well? You only care about your mum. Look at how tall you've gotten, I knew my genes aren't playing.."
"That's right Dad, but Oppa, how did you suddenly get so tall? Don't tell me you got surgery?!"
-_-
Do-yul looked at Eunhye, his younger sister by 4 years with a cringe expression.
"Get your head out of the gutter. I was always going to be taller, I was just a late bloomer..." he said, flicking Eunhye's head.
"Oppa! Flick my head again and I'll kung-fu your ass.."
-_-
Haeun smiled, as he pinched Eunhye, giving her that "Thought, I told you to stop acting gangster in public " look. Eunhye gulped and ran over to Yeongsoo's side.
"Dad, mum is being scary again..."
Yeongsoo chuckled "Then you shouldn't be hiding behind me, I'm also afraid of your mother, the one you should behind is Suho.." he said pointing at Suho, who was on a call.
Eunhye scoffed, the moment she got close he'd chase her away with money. She didn't even need allowance from her parents.
She was already getting enough from her rich Oppa.
"It would be better to brace myself. We're all afraid of mum.."
-_-
Haeun smiled "You make it sound like I'm a monster, darling.."
Hearing Suho name, Do-yul full attention was on him. It had been two years since he had seen the Hyung he loved so much.
He wanted more than anything to give him a big hug and inhale his scent once again.
But he wondered if that would he enough for him.
"I'll be staying with Hyung until I get my own place. He's closer to the University.."
Suho ended his call and walked back, he could feel Do-yul's eyes on him the whole time.
He smiled, "Hey, Do-yul. Welcome back.."
Do-yul smiled, the wind catching his hair "Thanks Hyung, it's good to be back.."
Haeun smiled knowingly but didn't say anything, instead he intertwined his and Yeongsoo's hands. Saying "We should get home. Since Yul's living with Suho in the meantime, he won't be following us.."
Yeongsoo nodded and brought out his wallet, pulling out a black card, he handed it to Do-yul.
"Daddy's giving you money to buy sweets, use it well.."
-_-
Eunhye hissed, she had begged her father to give her a black card too, but he refused, apparently she was 'Extravagant'
"Mummmmmm, when will I get a black card too, why are you always giving Oppa everything, it's so unfair... I'm your kid too.."
-_-
Haeun eyes rolled, she already had a gold card, what more did she want?
"Don't be a drama queen. You already have a gold card. Should be grateful i didn't give you a basic card.."
-_-
Eunhye huffed as she walked away. "Oppas, you're so rich, so send me money for sibling injustice..." she said and walked up the stairs.
Yeongsoo shook his head and turned back to Do-yul.
"We'll be heading back as well. If you both need anything, be sure to tell us. Can't believe my little Do-yul is all grown up.." he said, wiping his imaginary tears.
Haeun patted Yeongsoo, chuckling softly. "Suho, you barely come home these days. And your housekeeper says you're barely home as well. Hope you're not getting into any funny business.."
Suho smile and shook his head "I've just been busy with work. I'll be sure to visit often.."
Haeun smiled, looking at them for a second before they left.
Do-yul sighed, staring at the card in his hand. He was glad he had parents that made sure he never lacked, but now he wanted to earn his own money as well.
"What are you waiting for? If you don't start walking I'm gonna leave you.."
Do-yul shoved the card in his pocket and chased after Suho. "Hyung wait up.."
In the car, Do-yul adjusted the car seat, the train had been pretty cramped, so his knees ached.
"Hyung, can we stop by the mall? I've grown out of all my clothes."
Suho didn't say anything, now he understood why Do-yul came back so light.
"Sure.." he said, the car rolling into the road smoothly.
A awkward silence settled over them, Do-yul played with his fingers as he thought of what to say.
"Hyung, are you still angry? I did exactly as you asked. I grew up, I'm no longer a kid.."
"It's not going to happen Do-yul, I thought you'd have given up by now.."
Do-yul clenched his fists, he thought he would have given up by now? Did he really think his feelings for him we're this shallow?
Do-yul smiled and turned to face Suho "Hyung, I'm never going to give up. Because my feelings for you, run deeper than you think. I really did think about giving you up, but why do that, when I can make you mine. I'm no longer a kid, Hyung. So I'm going to chase you like a real man.."
Suho looked at Do-yul speechless, before facing the road.
Anyone one could have said this, but why did it feel like something in him stir when
Do-yul said it.
"Fuck, suit yourself. Do whatever you want, and I'll do whatever I want as well. I should warn you, my living habits have changed quite a bit since you left. If you don't like it, you can leave.."
