You must be wondering how this happened, right? Well, to be honest, Leonardo didn't know exactly either…
There he was, on another normal day, lying in his bed scrolling through his phone when suddenly a notification appeared on his screen. Initially, he thought it was one of those annoying notifications that Android unfortunately couldn't block, but to his surprise, this one was different.
No matter how hard he tried to remove it, the notification wouldn't leave the screen. And well, to figure out how to close it, he decided to tap on it, and to his surprise, the damn notification was a quiz…
"Seriously?" Leonardo asked. "Viruses these days are so lame..."
Anyway, the phone seemed to have frozen on the quiz screen, and since he had nothing better to do, he ended up answering all the questions that appeared.
He felt strange answering the questions, as they were about how he felt about humanity, and what he thought about humans being the weakest race in the universe.
Like, seriously? Aren't we humans the only ones in the universe? Look… it's 2025 and we haven't even set foot on Mars yet, but it seems we're the only thinking beings in this vast Universe. At least, that's what science believes and what the evidence shows.
Is it likely that bacterial life exists outside of planet Earth? Yes, it's possible. But intelligent life like ours? He doubted that was possible. That's why he answered the quiz carelessly.
'We humans are the strongest beings in the universe.'
That was my answer to most of the questions.
And that's when it happened…
After finishing the quiz, he felt a wave of electricity run through his body, and before he could react, he lost consciousness.
Honestly? He was happy he didn't feel any pain when he died. Seriously, he had always wondered what someone felt when they died, but it seems there was nothing to be felt, or at least he hadn't felt anything. I guess I was lucky. Anyway, let's get back to the present.

Leonardo didn't even know how to react. He never imagined the afterlife would be like this. A screen, similar to a game's, telling him he had died.
So what was he supposed to do now? Stay here in the void forever?
Fuck… This is going to suck.
"Did I end up in hell?" He had to admit, if hell was like this, it would be terrifying because it was just him in this dark space and well… there wasn't much to do besides think and talk to himself, which would probably drive him crazy after a while.

"This…" Leonardo murmured, he realized he was in a different kind of Universe, but which one, he couldn't say.
Even with the system's description, he felt it was still insufficient. After all, if there were so many races in this universe, then humans would definitely be at the bottom tier. Just from these three missions, he knew there were two different races he could choose that were definitely stronger than humans, at least initially.
What should he choose…
"System, can you tell me what Universe or World I'm currently in?" Unfortunately, he received no response from the system, which only made him sigh…

Without wasting much time, he browsed the translucent interface in front of him, and soon found the shop.
"Holy shit, so much stuff!" He shouted. There were so many things in the shop, it seemed impossible to see the end of it.
Bloodlines, companions, talents, holy shit… there was even a section where he could become anyone he wanted.
Unfortunately, the last part seemed impossible for him. Just seeing the price to become Goku made him calm down.

What did you guys think of this first chapter? It's one of my first times trying to write something seriously, so the writing style might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I'll try to improve. I'm always open to suggestions, by the way.
As for the fic's plot… well, I haven't really thought much about where I want to take it. Yeah, I kinda just started writing and boom! didn't plan anything beyond that. So suggestions are more than welcome!
