Chapter 1 - Day 3670

"THIS... This is the story about A WORLD... MAYBE A UNIVERSE, full of MISFORTUNE, CHAOS, and endless SUFFERING. There is only one hero, born in a small village near the site of a massive explosion, the only one who can change everything. The question is whether or not he will succeed...

They all called the explosion 'The Great Impact,' but it seems that even they don't understand what they've been drawn into...

What will be the end of everything, and who will bring it about?" A voice narrates in the midst of an infinite fog.

A voice echoes in the void, slightly distorted, "ɐɥɐɥɐɥɐɥɐɥɐH ˙˙˙˙pooƃ spunos ʇI ˙˙˙sı̣ɥʇ ǝʞı̣ן I" and a lot of different laughter begins to erupt...

Day 3670 after The Great Impact.

"Out of the wayeeeeee!" A small girl with black and green hair screams as she runs into a tent.

"Zo...Zo, wake up Zo."

"Ouch! What's up, Huna? What's the rush? I was having a great dream!" Zo complains.

Huna is incredulous that Zo doesn't remember his own birthday and starts complaining, while the people outside the tent just watch and laugh.

"Anyway, I need to turn 18 and a week old, have you forgotten?" He says sarcastically.

"Well, we're one week away from being free," Huna says in celebration.

Zo then says to her, "For someone who doesn't even remember to brush their teeth..." This irritates her, but she agrees.

They both laughed as Zo finished getting ready to go get the permit at the village gates. If they didn't have a permit and wandered into the forest, they would be captured and imprisoned, so they could reflect on it for their own safety...

However, as they were heading to the gate, they found Nashw talking to the plants nearby.

"Aren't you tired of not getting an answer, Nashw?" Zo asked sarcastically.

"They're offended by that statement..." Nashw replied.

Huna was quite amused by their conversation and said, "I love your imagination, little brother. It maks me feel like i'm not the youngest one here."

Nashw, ignoring their joke, simply asked Zo about the exploration permit.

"We're going there right now," Zo stated.

"Then let's go, I want to get out of here soon. Enough of standing here training for no reason. I can't stop dreaming about everything going back to the way it was before..." Nashw said in a vented tone.

The three Heroes headed to the gate to get Zo's exploration permit, the boredom of being trapped in the village was big, but the desire to live freely again was bigger, even though it was dangerous.

"You don't even need to say anything. Huna made a point of announcing to the village all week that today was your 18th birthday," one of the guards said.

Huna felt embarrassed and hid behind Zo.

"Anyway, I need to remind you that you can only leave in a week. That's enough time to think about what you're doing and give up on the idea. Just because this village has never been attacked doesn't mean there aren't any 'aberrations' around here. Apparently, our area is quite peaceful..."

The guard ironically showed a portion of his leg that had been brutally ripped off by an aberration.

"Don't think that just because you've trained for 10 years and two of you are 'marked,' you're safe out there. Seeing them up close is quite another matter."

After the Great Impact, all life in the world was wiped out. When some people around the world, almost all children, woke up, they were marked—some on their faces, others behind their ears, or even on their necks. However, one thing they all have in common is that each one of them gained unique powers that they can control as they please. Nashw is one of the few marked who can't use their powers.

At that moment, something that looks like a ghost appears next to the guard and says, "I know, I know, I always warn him, but he doesn't listen..."

The ghost seems to be being ironic and speaking only to Nashw, as no one else can see or hear him.

"I ALREADY TOLD YOU IT DOESN'T MATTER, FREAKS, COLD, FOG, WHATEVER IT IS, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO LIVE LIKE I USED TO!!!" Nashw responds to the ghost.

The guard is startled and confused, but Zo quickly explains, "Don't worry, he's not talking to us."

"Our brother has his own world in his head," Huna said, laughing.

The guard, frightened, having never been in direct contact with Nashw, quickly handed over the permit and sent them back to their tent, but...

Nashw was teleported to a white room filled with fog. As he tries to understand what's happening, something calls out to him desperately, seemingly asking for help.

"NAAAASHW!!! NASHW MY LEGS, I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS!!!!"

Nashw looks around for whoever is asking for help but only sees fog; there seems to be nothing there but fog.

Suddenly, another person appears to be asking for help, but they're so distant and distorted that it's hard to make out who they are.

"WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE, I CAN'T BELIEVE WE CAME HERE TO DIE LIKE THIS, HE'S JUST GOING TO END EVERYTHING NASHW!!!!!"

Out of nowhere, Nashw returns to where he was. Zo and Huna seem to be normal. Nashw ponders everything that just happened but doesn't come to any conclusions. Zo then sees that Nashw looks scared and asks, "So, Nashw, we are still in the village, why are you looking so scared?"

"Uhm?"

Nashw looks extremely confused, so Zo asks if everything is okay.

Nashw feels worse seeing that they are completely normal, meaning they didn't see anything he saw, so he decides not to say anything.

"Oh, I'm just a little anxious, nothing more, hehehe..." Nashw says, laughing, but worried.

"I can't control myself either. Let's go to the tent so we can sleep, it'll pass faster!" Huna says excitedly.

The three of them start laughing and continue to the tent, while Nashw continues to wonder what he saw and why he was the only one who saw and heard him being called...
