Chapter 1 - Prologue- new world, new me, new god.

This is my first time ever even writing a story not counting school/college work, decided to make this from boredom, might update once or twice a week.....

"Ah, where am I? What is this place? Why is it so dark? Are those… stars? And why can't I feel my body?" Sebastián Santiago's voice wavered with rising panic, the unfamiliar void around him only deepening his fear.

"My… where is my body?" he asked again, this time directing the question toward the shifting, empty expanse.

He was no longer human—his form reduced to a small, floating sphere of soft gray light, neither black nor white, but a perfect blend of both. A soul.

As he looked around, he realized he was moving—drifting, being pulled by some unseen force toward a swirling black portal. Closer and closer he drew, his ethereal form beginning to stretch and tear as the pull intensified.

Suddenly, memories began flashing through his mind. Familiar moments, fragments of his life—shattering, fading, breaking apart. His soul was being reset, prepared to return to the world in the form of an infant. That was the plan.

But just as the final piece of his identity began to unravel, a second, stronger force seized him. It yanked him away from the black portal, pulling his fractured consciousness back together. A strange, divine energy surged through him, restoring what had been lost—filling him with something new.

In a flash, he was hurled into a different portal, this one glowing a deep, vibrant purple—just before the void behind him sealed shut.

Two hours later… he awoke.

Agonizing pain surged through his soul—far beyond anything he had ever experienced. That strange divine energy he had felt earlier returned, now stronger, more overwhelming. He tried to scream, but no sound came out.

His soul began to glow, radiating like a miniature sun. As the light intensified, his transformation began.

First, bones formed around his glowing core, encasing it in a fragile, growing frame. Then came the nerves, threading through the bone like delicate roots, followed by the slow, agonizing growth of muscle and flesh.

It lasted only a minute, but to him, it felt like eternity.

When it was done, his new body collapsed to the ground. He clutched his head, now crowned with long platinum white hair that spilled around him in waves, cascading like silk across the earth.

His breathing came in shallow gasps as the pain slowly ebbed and his body began to calm. The divine energy that had once surrounded him now faded, withdrawing from his form—leaving behind only a single, lingering drop of its essence, hidden deep within him.

As he finally caught his breath and calmed down, he lay on his back, staring up at the now deep blue sky, white clouds drifting lazily overhead. It took more than three minutes for his mind to fully piece everything together.

He let out a long, heavy sigh and looked down at his new body—so different from the one he had before he died.

It was as if the gods themselves had carved it. Every muscle was perfectly sculpted, his skin smooth and flawless, his hands firm and unblemished, and his legs strong and powerful. As he studied his hands, he reached up and grabbed a handful of his hair.

What was once black was now platinum white—radiant, strikingly beautiful, almost ethereal. A beautiful grey suit on his body that brought the beauty of his Heterochromia eyes, one grey and one sliver.

He drew in a deep breath and looked around, hoping to find something reflective. But before he could spot a mirror, a sudden pulse from within—the drop of divine energy—surged through him. In response, a translucent screen materialized in front of his eyes, words slowly forming on its surface.

It was a screen he knew all too well—the status screen from his favorite game.

"Welcome, Sebastián—the new divine being of this realm."

Status: Alive?

Level: 1 0/100

Divine Energy: 2/2

Magic Energy: 10/10

Body: 10

Strength: 10

Speed: 12

Durability: 10

He stared at the screen, reading the words over and over again—unable to move past one line.

"New divine being."

The phrase echoed in his mind, impossible to process. Again and again he read it, until finally, he let out a slow sigh and pushed himself to his feet. As he stood, the glowing text shifted—morphing into a standard status screen.

Now it showed his inventory, available missions, and several other functions still locked away, waiting to be unlocked.

Mission List:

Explore the surrounding area – 0/1

Discover your divinity – 0/1

Find followers – 0/1000

Ascend to a low-level divine being – 0/1

As Sebastián glanced at the mission screen, his eyes scanned the list carefully. The tasks ahead felt both strange and overwhelming—like something pulled straight from a game, yet it was all too real.

He exhaled slowly, grounding himself.

"One step at a time," he muttered.

He focused on the first and simplest task:

Explore the surrounding area.

With a nod to himself, he dismissed the screen and took his first step into the unknown.

He began walking, letting instinct guide him as he explored the unfamiliar terrain. The ground beneath his feet was firm, yet strange—earthy, but laced with a faint shimmer, as if the land itself held traces of magic.

Before long, he came upon a forest.

Towering trees with thick, twisting trunks loomed overhead, their leaves a deep emerald laced with hues of violet and gold. The air was thick with the scent of blooming flora, sharp sap, and something he couldn't quite place—something otherworldly.

Without hesitation, Sebastián stepped into the forest's embrace.

He walked for what felt like hours, weaving through dense underbrush and navigating paths formed by nature rather than man. All around him, strange creatures moved—beasts unlike any he'd ever seen. Some resembled oversized birds with crystalline feathers; others were four-legged, shadowy things with glowing eyes and no mouths.

They watched him but didn't attack, more curious than hostile.

Every step deeper into the forest confirmed what he already suspected: this was not Earth. This was a new world—one filled with mystery, magic, and danger.

And it was now his to explore.

After some time wandering the forest, Sebastián stumbled upon a cave nestled between the roots of two massive trees. Its entrance was modest—about the size of a small tree—roughly seven feet tall and five feet wide. Jagged stone framed the opening, and the ground outside was hardened earth, cracked and rough with scattered rocks.

It wasn't much, but it was shelter.

He stepped inside cautiously. The cave was small to medium-sized, just large enough to move around without crouching. Its walls were lined with dark stone, damp in places, and the air inside was cool and still. No signs of life, no strange noises—just quiet.

After scanning the area, he cleared a patch of the floor, brushing aside loose dirt and shifting a few sharp stones out of the way. Once satisfied, he sat down, leaning his back against the rocky wall with a quiet exhale.

For the first time since awakening in this new world, he allowed himself a moment to rest.

"Ah, where am I? What is this place? Why is it so dark? Are those… stars? And why can't I feel my body?" Sebastián Santiago's voice wavered with rising panic, the unfamiliar void around him only deepening his fear.
