Chapter 1 - Prologue – Osvareth

Osvareth is not merely a world inhabited by living beings. It breathes, beats, and pulses with an ancient rhythm known as Mana. This energy drifts through the air, seeps into the soil, penetrates rivers, and even enters the soul of every creature. Some regions are filled with mana light—like the glittering Sylvandis Forest, where leaves glow softly every night. Yet, there are also places that reject its presence: barren lands and ancient war ruins imbued with a piercing emptiness, as if the earth itself refuses to come alive again.

From birth, every human carries a Soul Resonance—an invisible instrument that determines how they interact with mana. For some, the resonance is harmonious. They can weave spells as naturally as breathing, making magic a part of daily life. But for the disharmonious, every pull of mana is a gamble: it may produce wonder… or destruction. Many dark tales arise from those who fail to control this flow, their bodies transform, and their souls shatter—a phenomenon known as Mana Corruption.

From this resonance, something called Affinity is born—a color of magic inherent to each soul. Most are born with basic elements: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, or Lightning. Some are lucky enough to balance two elements, creating hybrid forms such as Ice, Lava, or Storm. Yet above all, there are a few Affinities so rare they defy human logic: Light, Darkness, Time, Space, Emotion, Illusion… and the most mysterious of all, Void, the emptiness that devours everything.

Osvareth's civilization measures magical mastery through the Mana Circles. From Apprentice, who just learns to spark a flame, to Adept, who begins stabilizing their power. From Master, capable of turning the tide of battle, to Archon, who bends the laws of nature. And at the pinnacle, there is Mythic, legendary mages regarded as equal to gods. Yet most humans halt at the lower circles—talent, training, and sacrifice are required to break through these limits.

Among those who challenge boundaries, three young names will leave their mark on the world: Cyras, Marlon, and Ester.

Cyras, only thirteen years old, yet his gaze is sharper than that of seasoned warriors. His silver hair falls to his shoulders, eyes a cold silver-gray, seeming to pierce the soul of anyone daring to meet his stare. His body is slender, agile, yet at his waist hang two twin swords—Nihilion and Emptiness. Every time he draws them, the air around him trembles, light seeming to be sucked into a small abyss. The Void Affinity he bears is not merely power; it is a threat capable of consuming other magic. Yet beneath the coldness, there is another side: only with Marlon and Ester does his gaze soften, as if they are the sole anchors restraining him from the void.

Marlon Hermes is the opposite. The shadow jester, the "joker" who always hides his cunning behind a mischievous smile. His long black hair falls freely, his black cloak billowing dramatically with every movement. His weapon is the Deck of Shadow Cards—a set of rune cards that can transform into attacks, traps, or even shadow clones to deceive enemies. Many underestimate him for his casual demeanor, but those who have seen him serious know: behind the jest, he can be as sharp as a blade. And one thing is certain, in front of Cyras, that laughter can turn into seriousness in an instant.

Ester Lunaris is the balance between the two. Her pale blue hair tied neatly, eyes as calm as the surface of a midnight lake. In her grip, the Moonblade reflects silver light, seemingly purifying the air around her. Every step is a dance; every swing spreads harmony. Her Moon Affinity can soothe the battlefield, unveil illusions, restrain destructive power, and maintain the rhythm of her companions. If Marlon is shadow and Cyras is void, then Ester is the light keeping them sane.

They are not merely students graduating from the Sacrum of Trials. They are children forged by challenges, failures, and battles into something far more terrifying than just "young warriors." They learn to see opponents' gaps, harness the rhythm of magic, and unite powers that could destroy themselves if misused.

In a world full of intrigue, ancient wars, and forces trying to control human fate, the emergence of rare Affinities is always seen as a sign. Some view them as blessings, others as threats to be destroyed before reaching adulthood. But for these three children, they do not care for the labels of the world.

With Void, Shadow, and Moonlight in their hands, a long path has just begun. The world of Osvareth does not yet know, but as their first steps echo… the game of power, war, and destiny will be changed forever.
