Some hundreds of meters in to the mine Wesley could be seen fighting mutant beasts en masse. Wesley was surrounded by grotesque beasts of all sizes, he would slash and stab those he could and kick or punch those he couldn't.
His body had grown to almost three meters in height and this was not his normal height, the beasts he was fighting had not yet given him enough pressure to go all out.
After a while, he stood surrounded by shriveling beasts and beads on the ground.
'phew' he panted but was not winded. There was catharsis he would get from fighting beasts and at the same time earning credits.
'should I continue?' he asked himself as he looked deeper into the mine after picking up all the beads and placing them into his ring.
This was at the end of the known tunnel with light, after this it was just an abyss of darkness.
Wesley could feel that he had not yet used all his strength and the goal of this trip was to experience him going all out.
'huh 'he breathed out and gripped his sword tightly. 'lets do this' he walked into the tunnel and was swallowed by the darkness.
And as Wesley was enjoying his time in the mines, Desker was sweating buckets, he was being grilled on Wesley's whereabouts by someone he did not expect.
…....…
Back in time.
On the once chance when Desker was home resting and trying to patch up his love life, his door shimmered abruptly and opened.
'huh' he gasped in wonder since the only people who could open his door were him and Shren but the both of them were in the room though with Shren's frowning face, she was not happy with finding him there.
A girl with two warriors walked into the room as if she owned it. 'where is he?' she went straight to the point and asked Desker.
Desker was puzzled and by looking Shren's puzzled face, she also did not know who the girl was and what she was looking for.
He had wanted to shout at her for breaching his resting quarter since it was against the federation rules but when he felt the aura coming off the two warriors who looked like her bodyguards, he hesitated. 'I cant fight here. They are stronger than me' he realized.
Desker stared at the girl and something clicked in his mind, 'you are that scary healer' he exclaimed. She looked exactly as Wesley had described and that is when it hit him like a tone of bricks.
He stood up abruptly, came to Shren and stood in front her. He remembered what Wesley had told him and the loss in his memory and got scared. Fear was not what he expected to feel but it had gripped him in its claws and he had started trembling.
Shren was surprised to see this side of him, he always portrayed bravery in front of everything but this was different. He was scared, she touched his shoulder in support and stepped to his side.
Desker did not notice what Shren had done, he just stared at the girl who looked at them in bemusement.
'oh come on, I am not that dangerous. I was bored and decided to look for your friend but when I went to his quarters, he seemed to have not been there for some time.'
'so where is he?"
Desker started sweating when he heard that, she had control of the doors to their quarters that meant she could come and go without fear. 'She has connections but she does not look like a warrior?' Desker pondered in his thoughts.
'You mean lesly, the youngest of us?' Desker answered slowly. The girl grinned in happiness. 'She had looked for him for days and the only information she got from the seeker organization were the names of the warriors she had treated. She had followed them up and known where Wesley stayed but had not found him there, so here she was confronting his team leader.'
'You are quite clever, yes am looking for him'
'May I ask why you are looking for him, has he offended you in any way?'Desker asked her in a worried tone.
'oh no, on the contrarily, am looking for him because.....' she stopped and then continued.
'He is interesting and I plan to ask him something important' she finally said with a frown on her face.
Desker shivered at the the answer she had given him and thought. 'what should I do, she doesn't look to be a troublesome person but still, she spells trouble.'
He cleared his throat and said, 'I actually do not know where he is but when I see him I will tell him that you were looking for him.'
'tsk' Rein snorted in anger. She turned to Shren and rolled her eyes. 'I think you married a fool, he thinks I do know what he is doing.' she then turned to Desker and told him, 'just tell him I am looking for him.'
Rein waved at her bodyguards and walked out. When the door closed with a shimmer, Shren asked him,
'who is she?' Desker seemed as if he had not heard her but with a shake of his head, he turned to her with a worried look.
'Big trouble.' was the only thing he whispered back after a while.
