'Boom, clang…'sounds of swords meeting claws and scales of beasts rang out in one of the tunnels. It had been nearly a month since Wesley had started fighting the mutant beasts with Desker and the rest.
He was standing next to a felled snake looking beast which had now started to shrivel. Wesley collected is bead and looked around to see his companions still fighting. Wesley had finished the blood refining stage and his strength had increased immensely and was right now refining his tendons.
He had also finally been able to master his body making him able to finely control his strength and body to the finest detail, he could now adjust his body to a normal sized twelve year old boy.
Wesley clenched his fist, felt the strength coursing through his body and smiled, he was happy with his progress.
Rum who recently decided to show case his face had a squarish face with black cold eyes. Dirk on the other hand had deep set eyes and a hooked nose and it seemed he had permanent smirk on his face whenever his mask was down.
'Haha, it is always fourth brother who is fastest" Desker barked out a laugh after picking the bead of his felled beast,
'Should I go and help them?' Welsey stood next to desker and asked.
'No, they need to fight by themselves. What level are you now, it feels as if you are stronger than me now." Desker turned and asked Wesley with a smile on his face.
Wesley hesitated to tell him about his strength. He could actually fight the three together and he would still come out the winner. "what should I tell him?' Wesley pondered.
'umm, I have just started refining my tendons but I feel something is off." he finally told desker.
Desker frowned at that, he always thought that Wesley was holding back by the way he carried himself. He pondered Wesley to be at the bone refining stage.
'Hmm just tendon refining, how is it possible, you feel stronger than me?'
'May be the entry technique am using is not good for my body. And for you feeling that I am stronger than you, it is just your misconception, I think you are just remembering my divine strength and the beasts I fight are always weaker than the ones you fight." Wesley played it down for Desker. He did not want to be alienated by his new friends.
'Yeah, may be you are right" Desker added on but he still felt like Wesley was hiding something from him but he let it go because everyone had secrets, so long as they did affect his other brothers.
'If you think the technique you are using is not working for you, wait until we go back to the city and tally our harvest, we shall see how many credits are needed for you to get a high tier training technique.'
Wesley looked at Desker in both guilt and gratitude. The only truth he told Desker was about the technique he was using. When he had started refining his tendons, he felt a slight resistance when infusing the worldly mottled aura into his tendons. The tendons had already been refined by the better starry body technique so his progress was minimal.
Wesley needed to use a better and more aggressive training technique to infuse the worldly aura into his tendons and worse still, Wesley felt that his bones were going to take a longer time to be tempered since they were already harder than mortal grade weapons.
'huh, what a blessing and curse' he sighed in defeat.
'Aaaah .' Desker and Wesley heard a desperate cry ant turned towards it, Dirk had been knocked down and was spitting out blood. The beast he had been fighting was releasing a stronger aura than before.
There was an ugly look on Wesley's face, he realized the beast had been hiding its strength. 'leave my brother alone' he did not think of anything, stomped on the ground and shot towards dirk.
The ground trembled with Wesley's stomp due to the huge amount of force he was using. He had forgotten to control his strength.
'hmmmm, what great strength?' Desker exclaimed as he saw Wesley's swift action and the trembling ground. He had been standing next to Wesley and wanted to also rush towards Dirk but when felt Wesley's strength, he stopped in his tracks.
Wesley reached the beast and before it could rip Dirk apart with its claws, he swiped its head off with one slash of the sword.
Wesley did not continue doing anything because he was contemplating something he had felt and sensed when he swung his sword.
Wesley had felt the force from the sword impacting the beasts body continuously in waves even when the head had been chopped off.
'Hmm mm, what is this feeling?' he had never felt this force before.
He stood there while pondering over this force and as he fell into such thoughts, the patterns on the bead in his mind palace gradually lit up.
