Luna's POV
Luna screamed as a shadow monster's claws raked across her mother's arm, leaving trails of dark poison that spread like spilled ink.
The magical chains around Luna's wrists burned as she fought against them, but they held firm. She could only watch helplessly as more creatures poured through the palace windows, their red eyes hungry for royal blood.
"Mom!" Luna cried, silver tears streaming down her face as Queen Celeste stumbled backward, her arm going numb from the shadow poison.
I can't just stand here, Sunny's desperate voice echoed in Luna's mind. My father is surrounded by six of those things, and I can't even move.
The chains are too strong, Luna replied, her heart breaking as she watched King Apollo try to fight off shadow creatures with one hand while protecting his injured wife with the other.
