Synopsis
In a kingdom where power is measured not by armies or wealth but by an ancient system of influence and points, Kael is a cunning strategist with little more than his wits and a mysterious “Dominion Code” at his disposal. As the son of a disgraced noble family, Kael starts at the bottom of the political ladder, navigating treacherous courts filled with ruthless rivals, shifting alliances, and shadowy conspiracies. Every political move, every alliance forged or broken, and every public speech earns him points—points that translate into real power. But the system is not just a tool; it’s a living force with its own rules and hidden costs. As Kael rises, he must decide how far he’s willing to go to win: use his influence to bring justice and reform, or sacrifice his morals in the ruthless game of dominion. In a world where every vote counts and every word can be a weapon, Kael’s choices will shape the fate of the kingdom — and reveal the true meaning of power. ---------------+++------------------- ok, I'm too bad in english, please tolerate it and I'll try to improve my English and also this is my first novel so few chapters will be not up to mark. ---------------+++--------------------- Now we move on second topic, you can give me ps, if you like my idea, i think it's new ideas . ----------------+++--------------------- Yes , I have discord channel and I'll add it later, if I got a decent views for your opinion and suggestions for improvements. *******************************"""****

Chapter 1 - The Last Ember of a Forgotten House

The cold wind howled through the broken windows of Kael's ancestral manor, rattling the faded curtains like the ghosts of a forgotten past. Once, this place had echoed with laughter and music — a symbol of power and prestige. Now, it stood as a crumbling relic, much like Kael himself.

He stood alone in the dim candlelight, the shadows of the grand hall stretching long and dark. The heavy silence pressed on him, reminding him of everything he'd lost. His parents had died under a veil of mystery, leaving him with a title stripped of wealth, land, and influence. A lower noble in name only.

No servants greeted him at the door. No allies awaited his command. The kingdom's meager stipend was barely enough to keep hunger at bay, forcing Kael to survive on the edge of poverty within the court that dismissed him.

He clenched his fists, eyes fixed on the distant horizon beyond the shattered glass. Every day was a performance—smiling in the presence of hypocrites who wielded power like a weapon, backstabbing friends and foes alike with equal ease.

Enough.

That word echoed in his mind, a spark igniting within the darkness of despair.

Tonight, Kael decided, he would no longer be a pawn in this cruel game.

With a heavy heart but burning resolve, he packed the few belongings he owned and set out for the neighboring kingdom—seeking freedom, or at least, a fresh start.

But the gods had other plans.

As rain began to fall in cold sheets, and the wind screamed through the ancient trees, Kael's horse faltered beneath the stormy sky. Lightning tore through the clouds, illuminating the path ahead in a brilliant, terrifying flash.

Then, in a heartbeat, a blinding bolt struck him down.

Pain coursed through every nerve, and darkness threatened to consume him.

Suddenly, a voice — clear, mechanical, and otherworldly — echoed in his mind:

"Dominion Code activated. Welcome, Kael."

His world shifted.

The game had begun.

Kael's eyelids fluttered open to the harsh scent of damp earth and rain-soaked leaves. He lay sprawled beneath a twisted oak, the storm's remnants still echoing through the dark forest. His body ached, every breath a reminder of how close he had come to death.

And yet… something was different.

A strange light pulsed in his mind, accompanied by the same calm, robotic voice:

"Dominion Code interface activated."

Kael sat up slowly, his fingers instinctively brushing his wrist where a faint, glowing sigil shimmered beneath his skin — invisible to others, but undeniable to him.

"Welcome, Kael," the voice continued. "You have been granted access to the Dominion Code — an ancient system governing political influence and power. Your journey to ascend the ranks begins now."

Kael's mind raced. Political power measured and controlled by a system? It sounded like a game… but the stakes were deadly real.

The interface presented itself in his mind, overlaying information like an ethereal scroll:

Dominion Code Rules:

Influence Points (IP) are earned through political actions: debates, alliances, public speeches, policy proposals, and winning disputes.

Points can be spent to unlock abilities: persuasion boosts, espionage networks, resource control, and temporary immunity from attacks.

Public opinion dynamically affects point gain and loss — keep the people on your side.

Political enemies will seek to reduce your influence; defend your reputation carefully.

The system monitors your morality — excessive dark tactics may grant power but risk corruption and backlash.

Rise through ranks from low noble to powerbroker, and ultimately, shape the kingdom's destiny.

A new notification appeared:

"Current Influence Points: 0"

Kael clenched his fist, a spark of hope igniting within him.

"This… this is my chance," he whispered. "To rise. To reclaim what was stolen."

With the Dominion Code pulsing in his veins, Kael knew his life had changed forever.

The game of politics had become real — and he was ready to play.
