Chapter 12 - Evil Intentions

SHAWN

We all waited with bated breaths, Ethan lurking around the hallway while I stood a few distances away from Davina's bedroom. Uriel stationed himself close to the Alpha's chambers, waiting until the moment the Alpha would step out.

We realized he had come into Davina's bedroom ten times since we left the mansion. He would have done the same last night if Ethan had not locked her up.

Soon, Uriel notified us that the Alpha had stepped out of his chambers, and we were on the move.

We all watched him walk into Davina's room, and as the door closed behind him, we counted in our minds, waiting until the moment he would burst out.

And he did.

"Who the fuck did this to you?" He yelled at her, and I could feel the deep curling fear she had.

The mate bond had not been established yet but somehow, I could feel how terrified she was.

But I couldn't step in.

"I fucking asked you a question!"

"I… I…don't know…" Her voice quivered, as she cried. "Please, don't harm me. Please…"

My jaw ticked, eyes dimming as I zeroed in on the door to her bedroom.

"No wonder you were never in your room tonight! Did those boys do this to you?"

"I…don't know." She quivered again.

And that was when I heard thumping footsteps, as he marched out of the room. The minute he stepped out, I hid in the corner, watching his chest swell with rage.

My lips curled, eyes dim with victory, knowing if he had stayed a minute longer, I would have barged in and dig my claws into his neck.

I didn't care if I gave up my life in the process.

Quickly, I met up with Ethan and Uriel who were gathered in the living area, and as expected, the Alpha approached, his eyes a ball of rage.

"Who the fuck laid his hands on that girl?" He snapped.

He wanted a fresh prey only to see her dirty, covered in blood.

Ethan's lips twitched as a grin spread on his face, "One would think you care about her, father."

"Why are you being so worked up because of a few cuts on her body?"

"How dare you..." He seethed, pointing at Ethan and I knew what was next.

A slap to the face but Ethan wouldn't stop talking no matter what. So, I stepped up, placing myself before my brothers, my eyes on our father.

Of us all, I hated to admit I looked the most like him with eyes always dim with chill and if I let it consume me, I would turn into this wicked image of him.

"Are you bothered about the cuts on her body?" I asked as I shrugged. "It's just a welcome party for her, Father. Nothing to worry about."

"Or did you have something else planned in mind for her?"

He went still and then looked away from us, hiding his evil intentions. Of course, we brothers knew what he wanted to do with Davina, but none of us wanted to say it out loud. The mere thought of it made us curl with disgust.

"I thought you were the most sensible, Shawn." He seethed.

"Clearly he is not." Ethan chuckled.

Ethan was trying to rile him up, so he could do whatever he wanted to do to us and get away with it.

But he avoided Ethan and looked toward Uriel who had his lasting smile glued to his face.

"You are the calmest, Uriel. Tell me what happened." He demanded, his voice bouncing off the walls.

Uriel stepped forward, his hands clasped behind him and then he tilted his head.

"I don't understand what you mean, Father." He shrugged. "You wanted us to welcome Davina into the family. This is our way. We learned well from you."

"What better way to accept a person than drawing that person's blood? Isn't that love?"

I took a double-take at Uriel, as I was pleased with that answer. Uriel could embody a lot of things and right now, he seemed like a maniac.

The cuts on her body were his last-minute idea too, and it worked. The Alpha couldn't touch Davina just the way he had anticipated.

"You boys…" Father raged, his face twitching. "…you need to be punished."

I wondered if he couldn't stand the monsters he created. And we didn't even flinch, expecting him to order a maid to bring a rod in. We were already going down on our knees, but he suddenly, smiled. A smile that didn't reach his eyes, eerie and cold.

"For the next two weeks, I will be gone from the Pack…" He began.

For a moment, I felt relief but I knew something else was coming.

"For these two weeks, every night, you all will be caged and bound with silver chains burning into your skin."

He laughed, as he continued, "Let's see if you bastards can stand before me when I arrive."

We swallowed, as his words sank in. We could take pain, but not a silver burn. It was new to us.

Any Alpha wolf would die under such conditions and even those who had not gotten their wolves yet would almost succumb to death.

The Alpha didn't know we had gotten our wolves, and his punishment would push us into our doom.

As he marched back up the stairs, the boys turned to look at me.

"What do we do?"

I had no clue. No idea.

The minute we resist and reveal our wolves, we would become a threat to him and may lose our lives in the process.

We didn't care about dying, but we couldn't leave Davina behind.

"For now, I have no idea." I sighed, pinching my temples. "But we need to attend to Davina first. She can't heal the cuts herself since she has no wolf."

"You are right." Uriel chimed in. "We will think about something. Go to her."

So, I moved, rushing to her bedroom and the minute I stepped in, she jumped off the bed and jumped on me.

"Shawn…" She cried, her body shaking. "I was so scared. The Alpha is a monster…"

"I am sorry…" I whispered, as I took her to the bed, laying her gently on it.

"I am sorry we had to do this to you…" My fingers trailed the cuts on her skin from our claws. And even while we did it, our hearts knotted with pain.

Taking her out of the mansion, wasn't enough, otherwise that bastard would have suspected what we were doing.

"Don't apologize. It's not your fault."

It was devastating when we had to explain to her how dangerous the Alpha was going to be to her. He wouldn't just hit her, he would break her soul and body, ravaging through his lust.

"But…how did you know he was going to do that to me? He is engaged to my mother…" She cried, with shaky breaths. "Why is he doing this to us?"

Her questions made me freeze, and then I looked away for a second.

"Let's heal you up first…" I pushed her onto the bed, before hovering over her. I peeled her clothes off her body, thanking the goddess that he didn't even tear them off to see her beautiful body.

He didn't deserve to see such perfection.

She lay still, letting me do my thing as my tongue darted out, licking on every single cut on her body. The taste of her blood in my mouth was warm, but deeply intoxicating.

By the time I was done and her wounds had closed up, I couldn't pull away from her.

My tongue ravished her body, and my lips latched onto her hard nipples.

I groaned on her supple skin, as I dragged her nipple in between my teeth before popping it out.

"I want to take you right now…"

"Hmmm…" She whimpered, and I could smell her arousal in the air. "Ethan and Uriel aren't here. You can't do that…"

Her words were a cold reminder as I pulled away from her, and then pulled her naked body on mine, embracing her tightly.

"Soon…" I said, as she relaxed on my body. "As soon as the Alpha is gone from the mansion, we will make you scream out our names."
