Synopsis
In a haunting, snowbound night in the country of Ser, a miraculous and tragic birth unfolds, unraveling a legacy of suffering, hope, and unimaginable power. When a desperate scientist defies nature to save his wife and unborn daughter, the resulting catastrophe forges a girl whose body is a battlefield for unnatural energies and the target of human greed, spiritual longing, and intergalactic cosmic war. Enduring years of trauma, the girl flees with the help of her mother's spirit to discover a life of pain, along with the strange, broken, and beautiful world on the outside, in her journey, finding fleeting family from a loving brother, to a stern grandmother. Hunted by monsters, haunted by the past, and caught between the ambitions of mortals and the interests of gods, she must come to terms with her powers, her heritage, and the meaning of survival. This sweeping, unbecoming tale explores resilience, sacrifice, and the unstoppable longing for love in a universe where the soul is the ultimate prize. Or at least I hope so... Target Audience Older teens and adults (16+), especially readers of complex, emotional fantasy with dark and mature themes Tone Dark, emotionally intense, and somber, with moments of warmth and hope amid cycles of grief, violence, and metaphysical wonder.

Chapter 1 - ASTL:REWIP

Hello!

To start, I want to thank everyone for reading this novel.

It has been a passion and a dream of mine to make novels, manga, and all things art-related for a long time now!

And as problems continuously stopped me from writing, after a year-long wait, I have come back!

I want to finish this story and move on to others that have just as much emotion and storytelling as ASTL has.

Truthfully, the reason why ASTL went on a hiatus in the first place wasn't because problems arose or I had art block; instead, it was because I felt like the story was complete shi*t. I felt like my power systems weren't original and were very complex, adding to the confusion. I knowingly left out important parts of the novel because the reason why I created this novel in the first place was to just have a layout for it to become a manga, my thought was even though mistakes were visible, the vision of the story wouldn't be corrupted. But in the end it was.

I was held back because of this idea, and hated how I ignored obvious editing and grammar mistakes, potholes and my weird mechanical way of writing. I felt like my writing was sloppy, and insider comments about it further discouraged me from writing.

I consider my novel(s) (those to come in the future) as grand, masterpiece artworks in the making, and I just couldn't uphold my idea of a masterpiece with all this mumbo jumbo in my head.

But now... even though ASTL has been inactive, I have been working in the background to edit and revise the novel.

And today, I would like to announce the revised and (currently edited-ing) version of ASTL.

In this version, I have (hopefully) fixed most of the grammar and mechanical errors in this novel. Have added (and am adding) a ton more content to, and am ready to slowly producing novel chapters one by one.

I can't promise weekly chapters lol, we all know how bad that turned out!

But I can promise at least one chapter per month.

"As time flies, we may never forget those who have hurt us, but at least we can always prove them wrong!"

To a new era of ASTL!

Happy 2 years! 🎉 🎉 🎉

Sincerely,
