Chapter 1 - Chapter 1

"Rin, I want to create a world with you again!"

Obito's heart-wrenching cry echoed in Yamato Arata's mind. In the next instant, the scene shifted violently—he stood in a river of blood, holding Rin's lifeless, blood-soaked body in his arms.

He was stunned. What the hell? Wasn't I just watching Naruto at home?

Looking up, he saw a crimson moon hanging in the night sky. Behind him stood a towering, twisted tree from which the corpses of Kirigakure ninja hung, dripping fresh blood. His right arm was gone, replaced by a broken wooden spike protruding from his shoulder. His frail body was wrapped in the grip of Zetsu.

"Is this a dream…?" he murmured. He bent down, picked up a kunai from the ground, and gently scratched his cheek. The sharp sting that followed was all too real.

"It's not a dream… I really transmigrated—into Obito, and at this point in time no less."

"Obito, are you alright?" Zetsu asked with concern. The Japanese he spoke made perfect sense—perhaps due to this world's synchronization with Yamato's consciousness.

"I'm fine…" he replied, still dazed. As someone who'd consumed anime and web novels for years, Yamato adapted quickly.

"Let's return to Madara-sama," Zetsu urged.

Right—this was the moment Madara had orchestrated Rin's death to push Obito into despair, turning him into a pawn to resurrect Madara and enact the Eye of the Moon Plan.

But this wasn't the same broken, manipulated Obito. This was Yamato Arata, a die-hard Naruto fan who had seen the series over ten times and knew the timeline inside and out. He wouldn't fall for Madara's scheme.

He already had a plan.

I'm sorry, Rin… I can't build a world for you just because you asked me to.

He glanced around. Every bead of moisture in the air, every piece of gravel beneath his feet—it was all vividly clear.

"So this is how the Sharingan sees the world… Incredible." His gaze returned to Rin's body. It was still warm. He wasn't heartless—he had to preserve her first.

Where to put her?Of course—Kamui space.

He gently laid Rin down, covered his right eye with his hand, and peeked through his fingers as he focused.

A surge of heat welled up from deep inside him, flowing into his eye.

This… this is chakra, he realized.

His eye trembled, blood vessels bulged. This was his first time trying to use the Mangekyō Sharingan. It took everything he had to focus.

Whoosh! Finally, the familiar spatial vortex appeared, rotating counterclockwise. Rin's body was sucked into the Kamui dimension.

"Hah…" he exhaled, glancing at Kakashi, who lay unconscious in a pool of blood nearby.

Yamato—or rather, Obito now—walked over and turned Kakashi onto his back. The first thing he did?

He pulled off Kakashi's mask.

A mystery unresolved even in the sequel...

Seeing Kakashi's true face, Obito chuckled. "Damn, he really is handsome. No wonder Rin liked him."

But Obito wasn't petty. He wouldn't harm Kakashi, even if he was his rival in love. He would respect the original storyline. He'd let Kakashi live—but…

"You're not Uchiha. You can't handle the burden of the Mangekyō. Let me lighten that load, Kakashi…"

He reached down and pressed his fingers to Kakashi's left eye socket. With a slick pop, he removed the Sharingan.

That eye had always belonged to Obito. It was time to take it back.

More importantly, this eye held Kamui, the most broken Mangekyō ability in the Naruto world. Even Amaterasu and Tsukuyomi were second to it. No other dojutsu came close—if not for the long cooldown, it would've been unbeatable.

Obito mimicked Madara's method—he directly inserted the eye into his own left socket. Blood dripped down his cheek.

Thanks to the Hashirama cells in his body, the optic nerves reconnected instantly. His left eye snapped open, now matching the right: both were Mangekyō, spinning with the iconic triple-helix pattern.

The world changed again.

"With both eyes, everything's clearer. The chakra flows naturally… Just as Madara said, true power lies in symmetry—both Sharingan, both Rinnegan…"

He was thrilled—but not relieved.Madara was next. The first real challenge.

Deep underground, the Gedo Statue loomed. Madara sat slumped before it, three black tubes connecting from the statue into the back of his neck, keeping him barely alive.

"I've come to sever fate itself. That's why I'm here!" Obito said, imitating the original Obito's tone. His face was calm, but inside he was nervous.

Would Madara see through him?

Madara stared at him silently, then finally cracked a smile. "No one else noticed it."

Phew.

One of the White Zetsus chimed in, "I saw everything. Obito killed the enemy, but didn't attack Kakashi. He just took his eye. When Konoha's reinforcements arrived, he was already unconscious."

Madara narrowed his eyes. "So, you still can't kill your former comrades?"

Obito gave a carefree shrug. "No. I just don't care. That world's dead to me. The one I'll create will have Kakashi and Rin. Tell me, Madara—how do I build that world?"

Madara's expression twisted into a pleased smirk. "No need for thanks. Come closer."

Obito stepped forward.

"From now on, you are the savior. Look into my eyes."

Madara activated his Sharingan, and Obito was pulled into a genjutsu space. There, Madara explained the Ten Tails, the Gedo Statue, the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and the Rinnegan—just as he had in the original timeline. Obito already knew all of it, but he listened calmly.

When they emerged from the illusion, Madara rose from his seat and pressed his hand to White Zetsu's body.

"Obito, I'll teach you the forbidden arts of the Uchiha: the Six Paths Technique, Yin-Yang Release…"

Squelch.White Zetsu's body turned black—Black Zetsu was born. Obito watched him closely.

"I've placed my will inside him. Consider him half of me. These creatures, formed from Yin-Yang Release, are your pawns."

Madara formed a seal.

Shunk!A black rod shot into the chest of the Hashirama clone grown by the Gedo Statue.

"That rod is a vessel for my consciousness. You'll use it for Six Paths techniques."

With everything prepared, Madara unhooked the tubes from his neck. His body slumped back into the stone chair, drained of life.

"Hah… ugh… good. Go now… Until my resurrection, you are… Uchiha Madara."

Obito watched in silence.Rest easy, Madara. You won't be resurrected. The Eye of the Moon Plan dies with you. But I will gather the Tailed Beasts, resurrect the Ten Tails, and become its Jinchūriki...

"Obito, let's begin Madara-sama's plan. First, we go to Amegakure to find Nagato and cultivate his Rinnegan…" Black Zetsu said.

"Yeah… about that…"

Zhi—Obito activated his Mangekyō. His left eye focused.

Now was the time.

He turned his gaze toward Black Zetsu.

Kamui.

"W-What are you doing?!" Black Zetsu shrieked in panic.

"This," Obito said coldly, "is called cutting off fate."
