Ten minutes earlier inside the house the mayor was currently freaking out as changes were happening to Alrin's body and he feared what Vera may do to him.
The blood that had splattered everywhere was vanishing into thin air as Alrin's body was beginning to heal itself. Even the organs that been destroyed were returning to their original condition. The process had been slowed down due to the poison that had been circulating in his body delaying the healing but now he had mostly overcome it. After another few minutes his body hadn't healed but returned to its natural state and his eyes opened.
As he stood up he felt great, the best he had felt in years. He didn't know why but this was due to the fact the poison was lingering and had circulated to his brain giving him a type of high.
"Tell me what happened while I was out." He calmly commanded the mayor while he channeled a bit of Sencia into his clothes to restore them.
After hearing the explanation of what had happened Alrin now had a picture of what was going on.
"It seems they didn't want to store my body away I guess that's why your still here alive despite working with a fiend. Should I just kill you now since your no longer needed? Haha I'm just joking we can deal with you after we get back I doubt you can leave otherwise you would have already." Each of Alrin words sound so happy and joyful to the chief that it made him feel an even greater fear for what was to come.
Losing interest in the mayor Alrin jumped on top of the roof to see what he should do first. Once up there he suddenly looked up into the empty sky feeling a presence but he couldn't find anything and shifted his focus elsewhere.
First he looked towards Alara who looked to be doing quite well do he decided to see if the others needed assistance. He saw Edward and Rex and they seemed to be fine. Last he saw Vera was quite exhausted after dealing with 2 of the beasts and that the last one was getting up.
Seeing that Vera needed some help he summoned two solid black spears and began channeling his energy into them. After a few seconds of channeling he threw one spear at the beasts body and the second at the head but he did not stay to see if it hit instead as soon as the second spear left his hand he started running towards Alara. An explosion occurred just after he threw the second spear and he saw Alara's heavily injured body sent flying.
He moved as fast as he could but by the time he got there he saw Csepel standing over her. He thought about throwing his spear to distract him but his hearing was as good and he heard him monologue.
Seeing that he decided to pay him back and began silently approaching. Alrin's mind returned to when he was alone journeying through the Circle of Sen Beasts. At that time he was weaker and younger and was constantly fighting to survive. Through that experience he learned that his cultivation method made him undetectable to a Sencia search and as long as he could hide any other traces such as the sound of his movement he could move undeterred. Now for the first time in his life he was grateful he had gone through that experience.
Just as Csepel finished speaking and was going to capture Alara, Alrin arrived behind him and struck. Alrin knew better than anyone how hard cultivators were to kill so unlike Alara he aimed for something far worse for a cultivator their cores.
Cores exist in a similar state to the soul of a body where unless you have special methods you can never attack them but Alrin was one of them. His cultivation created a perfect harmony between body and soul but unlike souls that were naturally strengthened and protected with age and cultivation a core was only as strong as a single core and Csepel's looked more delicate especially compared to Alara's cores.
His hand that had now pierced through Csepel's chest squeezed as tightly as he could crushing the small purple marble sized core.
"Did you miss me, Alara?"
Csepel who looked down to the hand piercing through him saw the fragments of his space core fall to the ground and he began to completely lost it.
Csepel's blood was beginning to go into a frenzy so upon seeing this Alrin cut his head off and pulled his hand out to go to Alara. He quickly removed Csepel's blood from his own body before gently picking Alara and leaving the area. He knew a blood path cultivator would go wild even if they died but his priority was saving Alara.
"You reached the seventh core in battle? Haha you really are as monstrous as they say how amazing!" Alrin began talking to her trying to keep her awake.
"You're alive…I'm glad." Alara feebly spoke.
"I'm sorry I should have told you." He truly felt guilty after hearing how angry she had been when she thought he died.
"I trust you… you had your reasons." She said even quieter than before
After running a good distance away Alrin removed his red cloak and laid Alara atop it.
"Here take this." Alrin said trying to feed it to her a pill to heal.
"No pills… give space." Alara said refusing it.
Hearing that Alrin back away a bit and watched to see what she would do. Similar to earlier her body turned into a vortex as the surrounding Sencia began rush towards her body. The difference is that instead of absorbing it into her body as pure energy she was using her life path abilities to restore her body.
Where her arm had once been a white glow in the shape of arm appeared. This was happening all over her body from her damaged internal organs to all the cuts and scrapes she had over her body.
This process took almost 20 minutes while Alrin stood by to guard her but at the end of it all her body was fully restored along with her robes.
"ALRIN!!!" She yelled his name as soon as she stood up to which he ran to her side to check on her. At this moment she was wearing his red cloak since it automatically attached itself to her.
"What happened!" He asked checking her body to see what was wrong.
"Nothing I'm just glad to see your still alive." She said with a grin.
"I could say the same to you. You recovered faster than I did."
"Wait now that I think about it you've been weirdly friendly are you sure your ok?"
"Ah some of the poison is still lingering in my body it must be having some effect." Alrin casually explained.
"What!? Let me see." Saying that Alara used both her hands to bring his head down and closed her eyes.
Using her abilities she was inspecting his body and was surprised by what she saw. Alrin's body was filled to the brim with energy she didn't focus on it but she thought he might have more than she did. Since it wasn't what she was checking for she moved on to checking the rest of of his body and indeed found a large amount of poison still circulation in his blood.
Since the poison was meant to target Sencia she used her own Sencia to drain it of its effects and after a few minutes she had nullified the energy of the poison.
"How's that?" She asked opening her eyes.
"Much better." He said with a smile.
"Ah I shouldn't have done that I'm sorry." She said apologizing for the fact she inspected his body without permission a considerably rude act in the world of cultivation as it would reveal many secrets.
"Its fine I let you since I also trust you." Alrin said. He wasn't sure if this was the right choice but he felt that she was worth taking the risk for.
Hearing that Alara was stunned but happy and was about to say something when the smell of blood began to wash over the entire area and clouds a myriad of colors began to cover the sky.
"We need to go he's forcing a tribulation." Alara said.
Alrin naturally complied and they took off returning to where Alrin beheaded Csepel.
